3.5 Stars...nice and safe boys didn't hold their hands at her throat. They didn't slip their hands into her panties in a public place- no matter how secluded- and whisper dirty things to her.The very second that I started reading Changing His Game, I knew that I have found me a new author to love. The lighthearted and humorous writing style grabbed my attention right away. As did the nerdy and tech heroine that got caught looking at a sexy gif on tumblr by who she thinks is the hot guy from tech support but is really one of the owners of the company she works for. Talk about your delicious setups.Marley Lake is just one of those heroines you couldn't help but like right away. She's a little self-depreciating but in this endearing and humorous way that you just click with. She looked at his left hand, checking it for a ring, because that’s what you did when you were twentyseven and unmarried and your mom had an “I love my Grandcat” bumper sticker slapped on her car just to shame her daughter. But while her relationship status leaves something to be desired (along with her sexual fulfillment), she has a job that she loves working for Gamer's Magazine. With her sights set on a new promotion that she just knows she's a great fit for, Marley has no time for distractions. Too bad that deep down she longs for something that she's never had; a man that will dominate her in the bedroom. A man that knows what he wants and takes it. But her fantasies will stay just that because the nice boys that she typically dates would be scandalized to learn what she really craves. Austin Rivers is a recluse. Rich and succesful, he's been burned by those closest to him and refuses to put himself on the line. A secret partner in Gamer's Magazine, he also has no desire for his true position to be disclosed. He's uber private and knows that women will just be interested in his money. But Marley is different and he knows this. What he didn't know is that sweet little innocent looking Marley secretly craves something that he can give her but had thought would scare her away with.I was pleasantly surprised with this book as Megan Erickson is a new to me author. It was light, funny and oh so sexy. Even though I'm as far detached from the video game world as one could get, I still enjoyed it. And even my technologically challenged self manages to find all the sexual tech puns in here humorous. And c'mon, who wouldn't like a dirty talking sexy nerd? I did find the second half of this book to drag just a bit for me and I found myself skimming just a little. But it was a solid enough read to seriously hook me on this series and be looking forward to the next installment of this series.ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest reviewFor more reviews visit

4-4.5 starsOh my ovaries. This book was everything I hoped it would be and more. I started it during my break at work, which wasn't the smartest idea on multiple levels. For one, it's dirty as hell. My cheeks must have been flaming. Also, it meant having to put it down a third of the way through, and that was pure torture. I so wanted to devour this book in one sitting. It's the perfect combination of nerdy and sexy, with lovable characters and a fun story line, and I had to see where Megan was going to take things with each new scene. She really doesn't disappoint.Marley Lake is one of the top editors for Gamers, a magazine company dedicated to video games. She's worked hard to pursue a dream she loves but one that's typically dominated by men. She's also had to sacrifice her sexual fantasies and desires. She didn't think she had time for a relationship or would even find someone who could fulfill her needs. That is, until Austin Rivers, a guy she's crushed on from afar, sees a Tumblr porn GIF on her computer. Little does she know that Austin has been attracted to her too, but he has stayed away for ~reasons. When both realize they are craving the same thing... well, as the saying goes, a match is lit and sparks fly.Let's begin with the fact that nerdy is the new sexy. Seriously. I think Marley says it best when she remarks that Austin talks like a textbook but looks like an underwear model. C'mon, who wouldn't go crazy for that?! He's super smart with a serious demeanor; I loved the fact that he was on the shy side and more reserved. Because of his absent parents he's always kept people at a distance, and he has never done well in large group settings. Marley, though... Marley actually brings him out of his shell, makes him laugh, makes him want to open up. It's no wonder at all I fell so hard for this man. He's kind of a softy, which made me melt, but what made me a mess was that dirty mouth of his. Oh my god, I think my eyes nearly popped out of my head on several occasions. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Changing His Game has some of the dirtiest, hottest dialogue I've ever read. Austin in sexy time mode is dangerous to female readers everywhere. That unexpected combination of socially inept nerd + alpha in the bedroom was probably the final nail in my book-boys-have-ruined-me coffin.I also adored Marley, who is intelligent and driven but also spunky. She's got a fun personality that softens Austin's rougher edges. I loved how unabashed she was about video games and her determination to be both a woman with goals and a woman with her own desires. Though she and Austin get together quickly, they already feel so right for one another. I knew they were perfect complements from the very beginning. Plus their romantic chemistry was scorching and their banter was both playful and witty. I was completely sold on their relationship. Though nothing unpredictable happens, the way Megan tells her story is completely refreshing and fun. It's sexy scenario after sexy scenario with heartfelt character development in between. Thankfully this is just the first book in the series. I can't wait to get Grant (Austin's best friend and business partner)'s story, and my fingers are crossed that there will be many more after that. Changing His Game read like a hidden fantasy come to life; if you're ready for some nerdy sexy fun reading time, be sure to pick this one up asap!***Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for approving my request in exchange for an honest review!***This review can also be found at Love at First Page.

4-4.5 starsAny book that starts with this kind of line is a good book for me."Of course, she was all for rainbows. Her favorite show as a kid was Rainbow Brite." Yes, I'm a sucker for 80s cartoons and any mention and appreciation of them always get points from me. That one line gave me hope and a smile. These lines made me laugh and that's when I settled in for a good ride!"She looked at his left hand, checking it for a ring, because that’s what you did when you were twenty-seven and unmarried and your mom had an “I love my Grandcat” bumper sticker slapped on her car just to shame her daughter.""She swore his nostrils flared but she quickly chastised herself because clearly she’d read too many shifter romances lately. He couldn’t…smell her arousal, could he?"Marley Lake is a gamer. Gasp, yes women game! Hallelujah other people said it! Of course now it's much more prevalent and acknowledged than back in the day when I gamed and yes, I still have a chip on my shoulder about it. And it was WOW(World of Warcraft), yes I know don't judge, I was young but I'm still proud of my kitted out Shadow Priest.Anyway, I digress.. Marley is a career driven girl that has suppressed her needs and vents on tumblr. When her computer at work decides to take a break she calls IT and help arrives in the form of Austin Rivers. He fixes her computer and opens her internet tab and her tumblr account is there in all it's dirty, explicit glory. Both of them are caught on the allure of the specific gif but get untimely interrupted. Each of them decide to not pursue the other until a chance encounter out of the office. I wont say more but there was andand when they went on a dateand lots of dirty talk! Austin is one smoking hot dirty talker. Sometimes a bit laconic but so hot. And I have such a weak spot for my dirty talkers!“You’re wet already? Just from the sound of my voice, the touch of my hand at your throat, and the taste of my mouth?”“Is that a river in your panties or are you just happy to see me?”I absolutely adored this book from the subject matter, their careers and how they got together. But it was just a bit too rushed. I would have loved a bit more build up between them and more time to pass before the love card got pulled. You can see where the plot is going but that didn't really bother me I kinda liked that in this book. I'm hoping we'll get some books for the excellent sidekicks like Grant and her brother Chad as well as Ethan.

3.5 - "Is that a river in your panties or are you just happy to see me?" Stars!I really enjoyed Changing His Game, set around the staff and owners of Gamers Magazine it offered a sexy twist on the boss/employee romance trope.Marley and Austin were both really likeable characters, their story although full of the usual tropes was easy to engage in. This is my first read by Megan Erickson, and her writing style really did work for me, she also gave a few unique twists on the norm which kept this book interesting. There is definite humor mixed in with the drama, and the couple were also both relatable as was the relationship that developed between them, it was sexy, geeky, and Austin worked his dirty-mouthed charm on Marley until both she and I were a quivering mess!”You make me… forget myself.”Being the first book in the Gamers series, I am expecting great things from this author, a certain hoodie wearing, outwardly anti-social guy that goes by the name of Ethan had all my girly alarms ringing, so I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author, and soon hopefully!ARC generously provided via Entangled, in exchange for the above honest review.

***3 Stars***This was a fun and sexy little nugget. Marley and Austin were explosive in the bedroom (and the movie theater, and the supply closet, and...well, you get my point). I loved that Marley wasn't afraid to go after and admit what she wanted. She had particular tastes in the bedroom and she fully gave herself to Austin to fulfill every one of those desires. And Austin....well, he had no problem taking control and doling out sexy demands. However, I don't feel like the relationship between Marley and Austin was developed enough OUTSIDE of sex. Too much of the "getting to know each other" happens off page, which didn't allow me to connect with them, so by the time we get to the end and the HEA, I just couldn't buy into all the emotion. I'm interested in seeing what's in store for Grant, Austin's best friend. I'm a sucker for a single dad and I loved his relationship with his teenage daughter. Fingers crossed....

Did I read the same book that my favorite bloggers loved? Because this book made me want to tear my hair off my head. Basically because of the insta-attraction, insta-sex (this is totally a thing now), insta-love and awkward dialogue. So. Many. Cringe. Moments.

Marley Lake is a woman in what has historically been known as a man’s world. She’s an editor for Gamers Magazine and she’s amazing at what she does. But her personal life has taken the back seat to establishing and proving herself. A late night in the office, a deadline on the very near horizon and a frozen computer brings the IT guy, Austin Rivers to her desk… What she completely forgets about is the dirty GIF that was on her monitor when it froze. Austin Rivers shouldn’t be attracted to Marley… she’s off-limits as an employee of the magazine he’s a silent partner in. But when he catches a glimpse of the GIF she’s been looking at, he’s completely intrigued, and when he sees how it affects her, it takes everything in him to walk away from her that night. Okay… so apparently I have a thing for nerdy, gamers and hackers. I think I have an even bigger thing for them when they are Austin Rivers. I mean how can you not be attracted to a guy who according to Marley, "talked like a textbook and looked like an underwear model." He claims to have all kinds of control, but Marley seems to test that claim in all the ways that could cause them both all kinds of trouble. Austin is alpha in all the best ways, and this book has probably some of the sexiest sexy times I’ve ever read… can you say work supply closet? *fans self* But Austin has been burned in the past by people he trusted, so he doesn’t open up to anyone easily not only is there a big secret that he’s not disclosing to Marley, but he doesn’t share anything about himself with her. I loved Marley – I loved that she is a strong, intelligent woman…but she’s also fun and doesn’t apologize for the things she loves to do and most importantly doesn’t apologize for her sexuality or the things she desires. Which leads me to the chemistry between these two… it is amazing… Austin is alpha in all the best ways, and this book has probably some of the sexiest sexy times I’ve ever read… can you say work supply closet? *fans self* If you love a dirty talker I can’t tell you enough how much this will satisfy you. But it was more than that… there is excellent banter and sweet moments too. All the things I love in a good story. But Austin has been burned in the past by people he trusted, so he doesn’t open up to anyone easily, and the big secrets that he’s not disclosing to Marley could affect her ambitions at work. The story itself isn’t anything new or different, there’s no crazy twist or turn… what you will find is a refreshing storyteller in Erickson and fun characters that you can’t help but want to learn more about. I’m definitely looking forward to the other books in the series and at the very least, hope we get Grant and Chad’s stories! Pick this one up if you’re looking for a steamy, sexy, story with a slightly nerdy alpha male lead … you can’t go wrong! I’ll just be over here re-reading… over and over until the next in this series arrives. Thank you to Entangled for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I'm about halfway done with this, but man is this fucking BAD.I am going to pretend in my head that a ghost writer wrote this because otherwise I will be incapable of ever taking Megan Erickson's writing serious again. The story so far:Marley:Paragraph 1: I am a woman in a testosterone filled world. I am a professional. I live by exercising careful control and seriousness in everything.Paragraph 2: I got caught watching Tumblr porn in the office and now this hot IT guy that's the answer to every wet dream I've ever had, is making me simper, gasp, jerk and get my mouth water in a second at work. But I am a professional. My work ethics are above and beyond.Paragraph 3: My eyes flutter close. I can see his green-blue eyes behind my eyelids commanding the waters of my vagina to freely flood. But I am a professional. My work ethics are above and beyond.Austin:Paragraph 1: I am repressed. I barely speak. I grunt and growl. I am stoic and cool and unflappable.Paragraph 2: She is a goddess. She speaks to a part of my heart I thought was frozen. But I am the silent owner of the company she works for and I can't do this to her. She deserves the world. I will ruin her.Paragraph 3: She's slowly (in the span of a couple of weeks mind you) peeling away the chinks in my armour. She's the fulfilment of every fantasy that has ever made my cock hard. But I am the silent owner of the company she works for and I can't do this to her. She deserves the world. I will ruin her.Marley:OHHHH WHAT WILL I DO????WHAT DO I DESERVE????WHY IS LIFE SO COMPLICATED????I am taking love advice from my cat.Austin:OHHHH WHAT WILL I DO????WHAT DO I DESERVE????WHY IS LIFE SO COMPLICATED????I am taking love advice from a 14 year old (that's characterised as a 9 year old).So that's where I am at. This pseudo review may seem like an exaggeration, but it is not. While it is all of course a paraphrasing of it, every single thing I wrote is actually said in one way or another in the book. This is without counting the sex scene in a supply closet at her job, where they are both oh so professional and serious and shit. Not counting errors like the first sex scene in a movie theatre lobby that's twice been referenced as a hotel lobby. Or the playful smirk of hers that he dreams of after having seen her a total whooping total of 2 times, encounters in which she doesn't smile at all.____________________________________________________________Continuing.Marley:My job depends on my professionalism. There is a work opportunity that I can't let pass me. Even thou I look at the place where we fuck with longing eyes and sigh.Austin:I am modern day Christian Grey, a geek, a nerd, a gamer and I must exert control in everything. I dress in suits and ties to work from home. I poo at exactly 0600 everyday.Marley:*proceeds to get drunk as per usual in romance novels, because people can't come to decisions while sober*No one will ever touch my clit the way he does. NO ONE.But my job!Oh, what must I do?*drunk dials* (or well, drunk emails, but whatevs)Austin:I continue to exert control in everything. I won't sell the company I don't want any more. I don't like the buyers. I don't think my business partner of years and responsible parent should be alone with the company. I digress. My friend is capable. But I can't let go.Ohhhhhh my torturous past that doesn't allow me to function like a human being!*receives email from drunk Marley*____________________________________________________________After finishing it:I am seriously going to put it in my own head that Megan Erickson wrote this while under the influence or that she was abducted and replaced by a pod person. Or that she wrote the book for shits and giggles and that the contriving writing, the book-filling clichés, the awkward dialogue, the insta-everything and in general the whole book was done like this on purpose and that her main goal was to make us laugh at a satire like story of all that's bad in the romance genre. The blurb sounded amazing. It sounded exactly right. What I got was this thing that I just cannot.

"He talked like a textbook and looked like an underwear model. The combination did absolutely everything for her libido."I loved the concept behind this novella. I loved the geekiness of it all! Unfortunately, I had one HUGE issue with this novella, which was the inconsistent quality of the writing. For example, we would get some really great moments, accompanied by some really good writing.... And then, a couple of pages later, the quality of the writing would just plummet. Sadly, these inconsistencies continued throughout the course of the book. I realize that in a novella, the writer has limited time to truly flesh out a story, & thus, the storyline is unveiled quickly & oftentimes, not so thoroughly. Nevertheless, I wish that there had been additional time allotted for more in-depth character development. (Throughout the course of the novel, I often wondered whether the hero-- Austin-- suffered from "Social Anxiety Disorder" or from something within the "Autism Spectrum." Autistic adults-- such as those with Aspergers-- are oftentimes so incredibly intelligent (GENIUSES, WITH MENSA-LEVEL I.Q.'s, etc.). Unfortunately, this novella wasn't long enough to truly delve into some of these issues. Furthermore, I can't fault the author for not exploring the aforementioned issues when the MAIN FOCUS of this book is already quite complex. The crux of the storyline is the double entendre of the word "game," in the book's title... & all of the "games within games within games" that both Austin & the heroine Marley are immersed in. This aspect of the storyline really appealed to me, & I do believe that it would appeal to many of my friends who share my geeky tendencies. I found author Megan Ericsson's concept for the novel quite brilliant; I only wish that the actual writing would have been equally as brilliant.Overall, I really enjoyed Changing His Game. As I mentioned before, I found the novella's premise unique & super-smart. Plus, some of the scenes are just HOT! However, by the end, I still felt as if I needed... more. I needed more character development. Furthermore, I needed more consistent writing throughout. There were paragraphs in which the writing flowed beautifully & seamlessly... and then there were other paragraphs in which the writing was just too choppy & unclear for my liking. I found myself having to read & then re-read these poorly structured paragraphs in order to glean understanding, & doing so annoyed me, thereby diminishing my overall enjoyment of the storyline. More consistent writing, improved sentence structure & a more fluid writing style would have gone a LONG way towards turning this good novella into a great novella.*3.5/5 stars**** Thank you so much to Jeanne for the buddy read!!! <3 xoxo

It looks like Brazen books are not for me. I’ve tried several and none of them worked for me. I don’t know what the problem is. Maybe it’s because they are short. It’s hard to develop characters and make interesting romance when you are so limited in pages, especially when a big chunk of the book is taken by sex scenes. And I really expected to enjoy Changing His Game. A sexy nerd as a hero, a strong and driven heroine, forbidden romance (especially forbidden romance!) and sexy times – what not to love?Well, I tried to finish this book twice. First time I managed about 20%, had a hard time getting into the story, decided that maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for this kind of story and put it on hold. Some time passed, and I picked it up again and read about 50%, then I put it aside again. Now almost two months later I have no inclination to continue it. So DNF.What were my issues with this book? I couldn’t connect with the characters. I found them flat and uninteresting. The romance developed too quickly, though I don’t mind in this case, because you expect this from a Brazen book. What I mind though is a lack of chemistry. Since I read this kind of books with the only purpose – to get wonderful romance with sexual tension, I was greatly disappointed.I don’t mean to discourage anyone from reading this little story though. Many of my friends enjoyed it. If you liked Brazen books previously you probably would enjoy Changing His Game more than I did.You can find my reviews:

THREE STARSImagine this. You're at work and on your computer doing what you usually do, but your mind starts to wander and decide to open up your Tumblr, yup the naughty one, what else? Just when you're staring at a smoking hot gif, your computer crashes right before your deadline to send something to your boss. Enter Austin Rivers, tall, dark, broody and the last guy you want to see when you call tech support to get your computer working. But Austin is no average tech support guy, he is a secret partner in the company. Too bad Marley has no idea. The story center on Austin and Marley's mutual sexual attraction and follows it as it evolves into more. Although the beginning of the story is cute and unique, the overall storyline is pretty run of the mill. Regardless, I really enjoyed it. Austin was very endearing in a shy/awkward adorable way. I wished Marley to be a stronger female lead, she leaned more towards the delicate flower type.Favourite Quote If he couldn't have her physically, then he'd allow himself this, teasing her with filthy words in serif font. Not my favourite, but it's a good, quick read on a lazy Sunday!

Okay, I knew going in that this was going to be steamy. And it is. But I also knew that I like some of the author's other works and, bonus, gaming. And it doesn't disappoint. Erickson tells a tight story and manages to make this believable enough even in such a short work—a short work that would be half its length if you removed all the sex. Interestingly, she even got the tech right (though the games business is nowhere near as remunerative as she supposes—particularly with regards to games journalism).Anyway, a solid, though predictable, story that would probably be rated higher if it didn't trounce all over my steam tolerance.A note about Steamy: Yeah, way, way beyond my steam tolerance. Way. Though I have to admit the sub/dom was incredibly well done and not the least bit creepy. I think it works because not only is Marley good with it, but because Austin takes care to know that she's good with it. Add in a bit of Austin's emotional vulnerability and it was not only well done, but sympathetically and romantically done.

ARC generously provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review..3.5 Ride your King starsThis is a new author for me, and I was in no way disappointed.Marley Lake is a workaholic. Head of the copy editing team at a prominent Gamers magazine, she finds herself up against a deadline when her computer freezes. Austin Rivers answers her helpdesk dilemma, and whilst delving into her software, he finds a sexy GIF that Marley has been keeping herself occupied with. Whilst Marley attempts to hide herself from the utter embarrassment of being discovered by the hot, new IT guy, Austin’s usual tempered control is tested. This engaging story flowed easily, and with minimal angst. The authors voice was effortless, as evident by my constant attention.I enjoyed watching these 2 characters embrace the awkwardness and slowly unfurl. Their sizzling attraction towards one another, mixed up with Austin’s natural awkwardness provided a humorous, delectable read. Injected with secrets, and surrounded by a wealth of great supporting characters, this proved to be a promising start to this series.

***3.5/5 Stars***Changing His Game was sexy and fun!  The storyline, which moved quickly, was too cute.  I caught myself smiling from time to time, and the characters helped with that because they were so quirky and unique.  And the sexy level in this book was through the roof scorching hot.  While I did have a few personal issues, this was still an adorable book.Marley Lake is the head of the copy editing team at a magazine called Gamers.  She loves her job, but she's about to cross her own personal line.  While an IT tech helps fix her computer, he stumbles upon her dirty gif she has on her tumblr account. He finds it as lust worthy as she does, so how can she not want to be with him?  But what Marley doesn't know is that the IT tech, Austin Rivers, is actually a silent owner in the company she works for.  The one she wants a promotion from.  Watch out, because the fun is about to begin!Oh my gosh, I was beyond mortified for Marley in the beginning of this book.  I would have crawled under that desk and rolled into the fetal position and died.  Seriously.  But thank goodness Marley didn't do that, because it started a sexy chain reaction.  While I didn't feel as though I had a complete grasp on Marley, since I knew nothing about her parents or if she had any friends besides her brother, I did know that she was a hard worker.  She was demanding and in charge of her career.  And you know what?  That's why she's drawn to her favorite gif so much.  That woman in the gif lets everything go, and Marley needs that release too.  To let someone else be demanding and take control of her actions.  And Austin is the perfect guy for the job.Austin is one of those people where his past and his present life are such a contrast, that it seems as though he is always struggling within himself.  But he definitely did not have any insecurities when it came to being with Marley intimately in the bedroom uhhhh or other interesting places that I never would have thought of before haha.  He was demanding, in control, creative and wasn't going to let any situation steal time away from being with the one that he wanted to be with.  Way to go Austin!  I liked that nerdy yet oh so sexy man.The few issues I had with this book, were completely personal.  It was laced with cheesy humor, and while the sexy innuendos that were computer related were creative, I just can’t ever  connect with that type of humor.   Also, while I enjoy reading sexy, steamy scenes, I prefer my males to do less talking.  Especially the demanding kind.  Now I know that's exactly what Marley wanted and needed, but it's just not my cup of tea.  And while I wish the book had more relationship development and a little less sexy time, again I understand that’s not what would have worked for Marley.  But regardless, I still think this was a cute book.  I loved how the story flowed and I liked the characters that she created.  I will be trying some of her other books, because I loved the fun that she poured into the pages!*ARC kindly provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review*For more of my reviews, please visit:

When Megan told me she had written a Brazen novel I about died. Seriously. I love her and all her books but to know that she wrote something that was going to be seriously hot, seriously dirty, and Adult was more than I ever thought I needed. And then I read Changing His Game and it was everything I thought it would be and more. Marley is my kind of woman. She obviously has a strong character and work ethic which I admire greatly. She loves her brother unconditionally which I love. She’s also easy to relate to. She’s a total geek and is completely shameless about it. I mean, how awesome is it that she goes to comic conventions in cosplay? Love. Love. LOVE.Austin is pretty great too. (This is probably the most understated thing I’ve ever written. Austin is completely amazing and I love him and he’s mine. No one else’s. Mine.) He lets nothing stand in his way when he wants something. He’s the dirtiest nerd/geek I’ve ever met and it’s one of my favorite things about him.Changing His Game is one seriously dirty book. Brazens are known to be scorching hot. When I look at that line I don’t think anyone’s books get dirtier, hotter, and steamier than Tessa Bailey’s books. But Changing His Game? Right. Up. There. I had no idea that Megan could write like this. The mouth on Austin is soooo dirty. And the things he does with and to Marley? Let’s just say I’ll never be able to go to the movie theater again. Thanks, Megan. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to play RPGs again. I don’t even know what to say about this book besides everyone needs to read it. The characters are awesome. The story is awesome. The writings is awesome. *sings to self.* Everything is awesome! But in all seriousness, Changing His Game is a wonderful beginning to this series. It introduces us to the world of lively, colorful characters who will find their ways into your heart. I cannot wait to see what Megan has in store for us in the next two books.

Why I Read This Book: The setup of the IT guy catching Marley looking at a naughty GIF at work was all it took. I pre-ordered this book, something I don’t normally do.What I Liked: I enjoy reading work place romances. There were a lot of hot, steamy scenes, including one that takes place in the office supply closet. I have to mention Austin’s solo shower scene as well. And the dinner date where Austin just couldn’t keep his hands off Marley. RAWR.Chad was hilarious with his funny tech puns!“You sent each other explicit emails for about a week, then he clicked your mouse in a supply closet, and then you two decided to never see each other again.”---“He uploaded his data to your motherboard.”I love when one character is hiding something BIG from the other main character. I like to watch it unravel and play out with just the right amount of tension. And that’s what I got here. What I Didn’t Like: Austin is more of an alpha nerd and I was expecting (hoping for) more of a beta nerd.Overall Impression: Changing His Game was a good, funny, and sexy read. There’s no information available yet but I’m curious to see who’s in the next book in the Gamers series. My guess is Grant but I’m more curious as to who the heroine will be.

Nerdy boy + snarky girl + video games & comic con? Mother fucking sold. Marley and Austin are both fantastic. I loved being in both of their heads. She's snarky and he's reserved and it's just perfection. Her brother Chad was a lot of fun and there's a teenager named Sydney who almost stole the show. I don't even know how to review this I loved it so much. How about: it was a quick read with characters I adored and a plot I loved. Side note: go read everything Megan puts out.

Marley Lake is a focused, career-oriented woman. Who just so happens to be checking her tumblr when she gets the dreaded “rainbow wheel” on her mac as she’s racing towards a deadline. She calls IT and then Austin Rivers shows up. He helps her unlock alot of things, including her computer. When he sees the GIF she was viewing, things get heated. And along the way, romance happens.-Megan Erickson’s a new to me author: But I can see myself checking out her backlist. The writing was smooth and pretty funny, the sex scenes sexy and well done, and ultimately she’s created two lovely nerds that I enjoyed very much.-Give me nerdy heroes with a penchant for dirty talking any day: Austin’s penchant for speaking his mind when it comes to sex made me super happy. His emotional walls, maybe not so much. He’s in shutdown mode for most of the book, and has his epiphany, but I would have liked to see him open up earlier. Which leads me to...-Marley’s very likeable: She’s professionally focused, but personally she needs a man who can take the reins and give her pleasure. Her conversations with her brother are hilarious and really highlighted her personality. I think she’s pretty reasonable and justified in her anger when the fecal matter hits the fan, but she's loving and caring when he needs it too. She's a very good match for him.-Potential for more and I’d read it: Between Marley’s brother and Austin’s friend Grant, and the new partner Ethan, there’s plenty of potential with this series and I’m down to read it.-Focus is more on the erotic than emotional: I think I got to know the characters more from their verbal interactions with their friends/family than each other. There are references to actual conversations, but with this short page count, most of their dealings are physical. I still enjoyed this, mind you, but I was left wanting a bit more conversations between them, besides the dirty kind. -The game references: While I understood the reasoning behind it, there are moments when Austin calls her Evelyn (makes sense in context) that threw me out of the scene. It's cute, but just felt a little off.-The finale: The lies of omission were pretty big and the final bit where feelings are confessed and apologies made was...okay. I would have liked more talk, though the sexy times were definitely fun. The epilogue was cute and left me with a HFN feeling. The Bottom Line (3.5 stars)I definitely enjoyed this. I’d recommend it for those looking for a light, pretty angst-free read with some dirty, nerdy love. For more reviews, visit

Megan Erickson is one of my favorite NA authors. When I discovered that she was releasing an Entangled Brazen (total guilty pleasure of mine) featuring a sexy nerdy guy, every bone in body basically screamed "WANT". I was fortunate enough to be able to get an ARC and as soon as I saw it in my inbox, I immediately dove in and holy crap did Megan Erickson deliver in every way!The entire time I was reading Changing His Game, I had hearts in my eyes, because AUSTIN RIVERS made me want to do very inappropriate things to him. Seriously guys, if you for even once thought that nerds could not possibly be sexy, you have got to meet Austin who make you fall in lust love with him. It's finally the time for these nerds to shine! When we first meet Austin, he had this stiff demeanor to him, but when he gradually opens up throughout the book, it was an absolute delight. I loved his character so much and I especially enjoyed his dynamics with his best friend Grant's daughter. Guys, he takes her out frequently and goes to picnics and everything. How was my heart not supposed to melt at that? Austin truly was a sweetheart and I loved watching him become more welcoming in the presence of Marley. I couldn't help but fall in love with him and so will you! Marley, his love interest, was another breath of fresh air. I loved this girl as much as I loved Austin, which is such a rarity when it comes to me. I loved that she was so smart, but mostly that she was fiercely independent and driven when it came to her career. She was among the very few women at her gaming magazine, but she was also one of the most hardworking ones. She pushed through to reach her goals and I completely appreciated that about Marley. You've got to love a girl who doesn't allow issues like potential sexism drive her away from things that she wants. The dynamics between Austin and Marley was explosive. Seriously, you're going to need a fire extinguisher when you read Changing His Game because I sure did. Megan Erickson knows how to do romantic and sexy. She certainly had me melting into a puddle of goo and flaming all kinds of shades of red while I was reading the book. And get this, Austin Rivers was not only a nerd, he was a sexy, dirty-talking nerd!! *SWOON* I blushed every single time that Austin opened his mouth, to be honest. I couldn't help it. There were so many delicious scenes, guys! There relationship wasn't only a physical though. Throughout the book, Austin and Marley developed a strong emotional connection as well and I loved watching the two of them open up to each other. It made the romantic in me sigh in happiness so many times. I also loved the teasing nature of their relationship. These two were so freaking cute together and I loved that they had so many shared interests. It made their relationship seem so much more realistic and even though this book fell on the shorter side, I never felt like their relationship was rushed. It's just the way that Megan Erickson writes. You can't help but fall in love with every element of her books. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in Changing His Game, especially Marley's riot of a brother, Chad and Grant. The first thing I asked Megan after finishing the book was whether we'd be getting books for them and you can imagine my excitement when she told me that Grant's book was next!Brazen lovers will LOVE Changing His Game. Guys, if you're in the mood for a sexy, playful and fun romance novel with characters that make you want to cheer for them and sexy scenes that will make you want to go jump into a pool of ice, this is the book for you. I can't recommend it enough!

More Reviews Here: Readers Live A Thousand LivesIt has been a while since I’ve read a Brazen and damn did I need this book. It was so steamy and so fun and just UGH it was exactly what I needed. I love how intelligent and determined the characters are AND they are sexy! So many books don’t focus on the aspects outside of the sexy, but this book does and I can’t even begin to explain how much I appreciate that.First off, I adored Marley. She is such a strong and capable woman and I love how independent she was. She had goals and desires and she did what she needed to do to reach them. She didn’t let anything hold her back. She owns her gamer and nerdy side and is proud of it. So many women hide this side of them and I love that Marley was proud of it.And then we have Austin and holy swoons. Austin is one of my new favorite book boyfriends. He is seriously everything I want in a book boyfriend. Alpha without being a douche, sweet and caring, and he is smart and determined. He also is what most people would consider a nerd and damn if that didn’t make me love him more. He isn’t your typical hero and I freakin loved that.I also loved the side characters. Grant (Austin’s best friend) and Chad (Marley’s brother) were amazing. This is the part of the review where I get down on my hands and knees and start begging for them to get a book because they need a book! Oh how I loved them so.Now I feel it necessary to discuss this. While this is a steamy fun read, I also think it touches on something very important about women in the business world. Something that as a woman in corporate America, I could really understand. Marley holds back with Austin because she is worried about how her peers will perceive her. And honestly it sucks that she thinks that, but it’s a sad reality. Women constantly think about this in the workplace and have to wonder how others perceive them outside the business world when frankly it’s none of their damn business and also nobody would question a man in this same situation. A woman is looked down on in this situation or she looks like she is angling for something, but a man would get high fives. So I really loved that this book showed that and showed Marley’s struggle and showed that she shouldn't be ashamed or hold back. Okay I’m done now *steps down from soap box*So in short, Changing His Game was a super fun and steamy read. This is my first book by this author but it will not be my last.

Changing His Game is a steamy addition to the Brazen line, with a refreshing storyline. Combine Tumblr, a dirty talker and a lady who knows what she wants, and you get a romance with plenty heat and some humour. When Marley Lake has a computer problem at work, her knight-in-shining-techy-armour comes in the form of Austin Rivers, silent partner in Gaming magazine. The same magazine Marley is copy-editor for. And when he spies the dirty gif she's watching, it's not long before she sees his hard-ware. "I didn't realise you were left-handed.""I'm not.""But you're eating with your left hand.""That's because my right hand is busy with something a lot more important."Megan Erickson is a new author to me and whilst it was fairly predictable, she's brought her readers likeable characters, chemistry and sexy shenanigans. And with much of the humour courtesy of Austin's best-friend Grant and his daughter, I look forward to seeing what lies in store for him. 3.5 stars. Erotica for the video game geek!Changing His Game has 2 of my favorite elements in a book...quick and dirty ;) Seriously though, it does have 2 well developed characters too that were close to my heart. Marley is a strong, independent and career minded woman who works as an editor at a gaming magazine. Austin is a silent partner in the magazine but misleads Marley into thinking he's just her co-worker, an IT guy that's there to help fix her computer one evening. He's also happens to be the creator of Aric's Revenge, a popular video game that's recently been made into a movie.Austin is the strong, yet silent type who's not a fan of vanilla sex. He likes to take control and has a dirty mouth too. He knows how important Marley's job is to her and fears that she'll find out that he's actually her "boss". In the meantime though, he's going to have some fun. They sure do get kinky several times throughout the book, including in a movie theatre lobby, while playing a video game and behind a stage, dressed in cosplay, at a local Comic-con. Yes, I've never heard of the term cosplay before reading this book. It's taught me a few geek offense! "Austin's cock was hard and aching where it rested on her back, and two of his fingers were sunk deep inside of her while she played a video game he developed. He wished he could go back in time and tell his awkward, dorky, thirteen year-old self to hang in there because life sure as hell got a whole lot better"That line just cracks me up, even while I'm typing it! If you like your stories quick, to the point, and with a bit of kink, you'll thoroughly enjoy Changing His Game!ARC provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Alpha. Nerd. Like really, do you need more reason to read this book???This was vera, vera hot. I mean my friend Danielle told me this was hot but damn... That nerd had some mouth on him. This was some sexy, sweet, low angst fun. Could it have done with being a wee bit longer so that it could have a wee bit more story than sex? Maybe. But it's that hot who the hell cares?

No estuvo mal.A pesar de que es una historia que he leído mucho de empleada conoce hombre que le atrae y con el que tiene un rollo sin saber que es su jefe. También ayuda que la protagonista tenga cerebro y no lo pierda solo porque esta que muere de calentura.
