*****5+++++++++++++++THANK YOU STARS******{ARC Generously Provided by Author in Exchange For An Honest Review}"Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic."OH MY GOD!!!!MAGNIFICENT!!!!I said this in my review of End of Day, this story is unlike anything I've ever read before. I absolutely, positively LOVED EVERYTHING about this book. I can't even count how many quotes I highlighted in this one and how I wish I could post them all in this review. I normally post one or two, but in this one there's no way I can limit it to just two quotes! I want to shout it from the roof tops....READ THIS SERIES!!!Jewel is a gifted storyteller. This book tells the tale of two main characters in alternating chapters, and even throws in flashback chapters as well. Never did I feel like I couldn't keep up with what was going on. It all flowed so seamlessly and I loved every freaking minute of reading this truly goddamn amazing story!!!I'm going to first go over Jackson's portion of the plot and then I'll spend the remainder going over Jillian/Jessica's story line, since hers is told through the present and past.Jackson Knight is Jillian's twin brother. He's sinfully HOT and a man who has been trained to be a killer, just like his sister. In his other life as Jude Day, he never was into relationships. He was a player through and through, always looking for his next lay. Now, in his new life in Omaha as Jackson Knight, piano teacher, and nerdy brother of the neighborhood sex kitten, he is finally trying to have a serious relationship. You know what's amazing about him? He likes his women older!! Jackson is 30, and he is hot for women in their 40s!! I loved that Jewel starts the book off by saying this....To women over forty. We've still got it.YES!! She wrote this book for the women of my generation!!!Ryn Middleton is a forty year old woman who has been divorced for several years and has a twenty one year old daughter. She has a house cleaning business and that is how she comes to meet Jillian and Jackson. She has been working for AJ, their neighbor and Jillian's current boyfriend, for several years and Jillian hires her to clean their place. Jackson is totally smitten with Ryn as soon as he meets her. But Ryn is shocked that a guy who looks like a GOD, has any interest in her. I got this woman completely. Some people might be annoyed with how she acts. BUT, I know what it feels like to be insecure of your body and age. She sees herself as old compared to this beautiful young man and can't begin to fathom what he sees in her. I loved how Jackson relentlessly pursues Ryn and how she comically puts her foot in her mouth so many times!! She constantly puts herself down and Jackson never lets her get away with it. He wants her to see herself in his eyes. To him she is the sexiest most beautiful woman he has ever laid his eyes upon. The man knows how to sweet talk and he knows how to make a woman's eyes roll in the back of her head and almost see God!! Let me just say, Ryn was not the only one in need of panty liners, and I suspect that most women who read this book will be in need of several!!"I don't sugarcoat things. It's not my style, and it's not how I was raised. So here's the deal: I love being with you and it may sound crazy because we've known each other two seconds. But you're the last person I think about before I close my eyes and the first when I open them. Every day I don't see you feels like wasted time." ~ JacksonRyn has this psychotic ex-husband that she has a restraining order on because he was physically abusive while they were married and he seems to think she still belongs to him. Her daughter, Maddie, is blinded by her love for her father and is really just a shit towards Ryn. I thought the kid deserved a slap in the mouth, a couple of times, but Ryn is such a loving mother, she puts up with the verbal abuse from her daughter.Jackson is trying to make things work with Ryn while also being worried about his sister, who has run off to be with her current boyfriend, and who has also been getting threatening cryptic texts, from an unknown stalker. Things get complicated between Jackson and Ryn. I see danger in Ryn's future and only hope that Jackson will be able to save her and that they get their HEA which entails a huge wedding and tons of babies!!!Jillian/Jessica still has a major role in this second installment. Jillian is being the perfect girlfriend and sticks by AJ. She even sacrifices her happiness with him for his own good. What they are going through is pretty heartbreaking and it shows that she may just have the biggest heart of all. She seems to think she is a monster, but here she is, sticking by the man she says she loves through the toughest of times. Through it all she still worries about her brothers's happiness as well. But my heart and I do believe hers also belongs with Luke!! So happy we continue to get Luke through her flashbacks to her life as Jessica Day. He is her true soulmate. He is the only one that she opened up to and told him about witnessing the murder of her best friend and how she eventually got the chance to kill the son of a bitch that took her friend's life. There was yet one more truth to reveal and I seriously didn't think she could have gone through anything worse, but that little tidbit was shocking! Even after having been through so many horrific ordeals, she proved to be a fighter. The fact that she could love Luke so deeply, proved that she had it in her to heal from the past.Luke is a billion times Swoon Worthy. Jewel just has a gift for creating these book boyfriends you can't help but fall madly in love with. I want to add Luke and Jackson to my name but am afraid that maybe I've already gone a tad bit overboard with the length of my GR name. I just really pray that when all is said and done, that Jillian(Jessica) ends up back with Luke because he is her heart. He is her home!!"You don't see anything," he whispered. "You're so blind because the only thing in my eyes is adoration. God, I love every part of you so much I can't even think straight. You're my goddamn miracle and there's nothing in life more amazing than a miracle." ~ LukeWhen past and present collide, my heart almost came out of my mouth. I'm so freaking upset about how that all went down! I only hope that Jewel gives me all the HEAs I am praying for in Dawn of Forever!!! This definitely ended on a cliffy and now we all have to wait till early 2016 to get the answers. Middle of Knight is going on my BEST of 2015 list! I HIGHLY freaking recommend this series!!Jewel, you deserve to be up there with some of the greatest authors. In my eyes, you already are!!

“William Arthur Ward. ‘God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?”★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★SPOILER FREE★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★➦This book continues the story of siblings Jackson and Jillian who were put into some sort of witness protection program and given new identities. While the first book in the series mostly concentrated on Jillian, this book had an added bonus of Jackson's pursuit of certain someone he set his sight on. And some bonus it was. *fans herself*❤Jackson is certainly hot - he's funny, sexy, at times rough and at other times super sweet. This guy sure gives Luke a run for his money. :)✘The one character I didn't care for was Jackson's love interest. I don't want to say much in order to not give spoilers - but she was a bit of a push over and I wanted to shake her.❤This book played on my emotions and made me question my mortality. How often we take things for granted... and not appreciate and thank others... so I just want to say thank you to JEWEL E. ANN for a wonderful story, I enjoyed every word.➦Big cliffy at the end, on to the next one!

I wish I could properly express how fanfuckintastic this series has been to me. This story deserves it. But right now, I'm a bit emotional. Damn cloth napkins...And to be honest, I jumped into this series without knowing much, other than a few trusted readers/reviewers loved it - and I'm glad. Nothing was spoiled. I had no expectations. I just jumped in, and it has been an experience I won't soon forget. I can't wait to get my hands on the conclusion to this remarkable journey.

4.5 ~ 5“Cloth Napkin” STARS”Only in complete silence can the whisper of true love be heard." Jewel E. Ann delivers yet another fantastically written read in this series. A love interest for Jackson Knight is added to the plot, while Jessica/Jillian keeps gifting us with the relationship she buried with Dr. Luke Jones. In the present, things with A.J.’s condition progress. If you like suspense, romance, and sarcasm written so well that not one attempt falls flat, then this series is a must for you. The final book of the series is due to release February 18th for those gauging time frames you have more than enough time to be ready for the conclusion of this series. Some of my favorite quotes:“Doesn’t sound like gospel to me.” She shook her head. “I’m so embarrassed.” He bent down and whispered in her ear. ”See you next week, my child.””Holy shit! Jillian was right. Ryn wants me to fuck her like the stable boy.”Take your clothes off and I’ll show you that what makes me sexy in your eyes is the desire you see in mine.””I don’t know what’s on the other side or even which direction, I’m going, but I hope by the time you’re reading this I’m sitting across from you, even if you can’t see me.”

I am loving this series so much!!So Jackson is 30 and pursuing a woman who is 40.She has doubts due to the age difference.Screw the age difference,if this man was after me I'd have him locked in a room and throw away the key!!He is so damn sexy!!On a serious note, this book had my emotions all over the place, not least because it touched me on a personal level.Jackson and RynAs we know from book one,Jackson has a thing for older women.A former manwhore he is trying to change his ways and has decided he wants the whole marriage and baby thing.Enter RynRyn cleans for AJ,Jillian hires her to clean for her and Jackson and straight away knows she's just his typeRyn is nearly 40,has a grown up daughter and an ex husband who was abusive. She cannot believe someone like Jackson would be interested in her.She is totally insecure about her looks and body. She tries to resist ( but honestly, who could resist this sex god )He eventually breaks her down and they start a relationship. But with Jackson struggling with the man he used to be the relationship isn't easy.Luke/Jillian/AJThe story with Luke continues as the book goes from past to present and we learn more of Jessica/Jillian's relationship with him.I loved Jillian's wit and honesty just as much in this book and Luke is just adorable. At the end of book one and the beginning of this we learn some tragic news about AJ.I found this traumatic to read as 2 people close to me went through the exact same thing and the Author portrayed this heart breaking event very well.God,my heart ached for AJ and Jillian was just amazing with him.I seriously cannot wait to get all the answers to this story.Great Writing, amazing and engadging characters.Highly recommended!!!!

★★★★★ 5 Stars ★★★★★ Seriously I have no words to describe the emotions that I felt whilst reading this book, speechless!“I don’t think there are enough stars in the sky to count how many times a day I fall in love with you all over again.”Middle of Knight follows directly on from the mighty cliffhanger and unanswered questions from book 1 End of Day, and was chock full of the same suspense, humour, emotion, sex and drama - but with so much more. We not only had the pleasure and heartache of reading Jillian's two great loves, but we had the added bonus of falling more in love with her twin brother, Jackson.“Life was nothing if not unimaginable.”Jackson is a computer geek with tattoos and a body trained to kill, but he also has a penchant for the older woman, and in this case he falls for the 40 year old cleaning lady from next door. Ryn is so far removed from the crazy goings on in Jack and Jill's life, she was such a refreshing addition to the story, a sweet normal lady with the same insecurities that we all have, especially since she finds herself the centre of attention from the hottest guy she has ever known and is left wondering what he see's in her.As with the first book, ALL of the men involved were swoon worthy and made me fall in love with them twice as hard. My poor heart bleeds for Jillian, who faces an unimaginable future to match her torturous past.“There’s no acceptance in watching someone die. There’s only a lifetime of regret from knowing you couldn’t stop it from happening.” Honestly, this book blew me away - I am in complete awe and I have no clue how the conclusion is going to go, but I sure can't wait to find out.Middle of Knight is a dark romantic suspense, and the second book of the Jack & Jill trilogy. Told in past and present, third person POV.Review copy gratefully received from Ardent Prose in exchange for an honest review Images featured in this review were created by me using stock images either purchased from deposit photo or from free stock sites.

RATING: 5++++ Cloth Napkins Hearts“From this point forward...every breath I take belongs to you ... only you.”Middle of Knight picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting us back into the conundrums that are siblings Jackson and Jillian, and reaching new heights of intrigue and epic emotional unraveling as the past and present collide. “If you can answer yes, then we’re never over. I’ve only loved three women in my life. The first gave me life, the second crowded me in the womb, and the third is a hot mess mere inches from my heart right now.” This installment casts majority of the spotlight on Jackson and his love interest Ryn, giving us a romance rippling with all the delicious sexual tension that stems from an older woman-younger man relationship. We’re privy to not only Jackson’s inner thoughts and what makes him the alpha-male that he is, but also the depth of his loyalty and love for his sister. Though not the primary focus, Jillian’s life story continues to unfold in past and present elaborateness as does her romantic relationships with both Luke and AJ. While her relationship with Luke is nothing short of tender and sexy, fans of AJ like myself will find themselves in a state of emotional havoc, shedding tears time and again as we flip the pages getting ever closer to a forgone conclusion. He knew she’d come. She was his real. The keeper of his past. The defender of his honor. The breath he needed to get to the next one.“Why?” His voice broke as he turned and fell to his knees at her feet. She ran her hands through his hair as he hugged her waist. “I’ve had too many opportunities to contemplate death. I think it’s different for everyone, but for me ... when my time comes, I won’t ask any questions. I’ll simply say thank you.” Although more questions arise regarding Jill’s mysterious texts and her and Jack’s past identities, I couldn’t help but find myself pushing them to the back of my mind and wallowing in the anguish that emanates as events unfold. Simply put, the ending left me gutted and my heart shattered into a billion pieces. “Good bye, Jillian Knight,” he whispered, folding the note. Overall, Middle of Knight is stunningly told in Jewel E. Ann’s trademark combination of dark humour and heartbreak, leaving no thoughts in our minds but to get to the conclusion of this thrilling trilogy. My all time fave quotes:“Aric James ...” she whispered over his lips.“Shh... now. Nothing else matters.” “I don’t know what’s on the other side or even which direction, I’m going, but I hope by the time you’re reading this I’m sitting across from you, even if you can’t see me.”“William Arthur Ward. ‘God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?”Never.Enough.Stars.“Take your clothes off and I’ll show you that what makes me sexy in your eyes is the desire you see in mine.”“Only in complete silence can the whisper of true love be heard." “I think a meteor could hit Earth and wipe out the human population with the exception of you.”She grunted. “I’m not invincible.”Jackson kissed the top of her head. She encompassed his world. “You are to me.”“People love chocolate, surfing, and their gold fish. Adoration is better ... it means to both love and admire.”“Rob the cradle, have sex on the beach, and fucking embrace your forties...What do you have to lose at this point?”The most indelible moments are spent in quietude with a worthy companion.“I won’t hurt you,” she promised. “You’re my everything ... the life that beats inside my chest.” She took his hand and placed it over her heart. “Do you feel that? Every. Single. One. Is for you.”He took her hand and placed it on his chest. “Yours,” he whispered.“Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”Fate. It was a mysterious concept, and unknown destination, and often a heartbreaking journey. Thank you so much to my sweets, Suzanne. Girl, if you weren't there for me through this one, I would've honestly been a huge mess. You're seriously the BESTEST hand holder EVER! LOL ;P xoxoxoPosted: July 24, 2016

4.5 Hilariously Heartbreaking Stars!Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.I often ponder, while reading a Jewel E Ann book, does she enjoy doing this? Does she sit behind her PC and type away with this snide little smirk, thinking, "I'm really going to fuck with them now!" Because that's what she does, boys and girls! Every book I've read by this master of brain manipulation has managed to put me in the coo-coo bin make me question my sanity. At the very least, question whether I have a mild case of bipolar disorder... Why? Jewel E Ann has the ability to suck her readers in with endearingly quirky characters. You find yourself with an almost constant grin on your face...until she pulls the mother-loving rug out from under you and you find yourself crying like a baby. Why! Why does she do this to me her readers!? She mastered her one-two punch in Undeniably You.Her motto- get the reader smiling, laughing, then "I'll f*cking rip their hearts out of their chests!" I can hear her now! And here we are with the Jack and Jill trilogy and the sadist comedian (ain't that a strange play on words) returns in full force. Oh, my review... Middle of Knight picks up right on the heels of End of Day. Jackson and Jillian are living in their quirky little geriatric neighborhood- living a new life after their funerals. Only after Jackson swears a vow of celibacy does he meet AJ's hot 40-year old divorced housekeeper. Celibacy be damned. His kink for the older ladies has returned with a vengeance. On the other hand, Jillian's easy-going life (of getting the mail in her underwear and selling sex toys) has suddenly nose-dived with the revelation of Sarge next door being very ill. And so their story continues...Middle of Knight was almost like reading two stories in one book. We get a lot more time with the loveable hot, tattooed Jackson Knight and his tripping over himself for Ryn the housekeeper. Lord that woman needed a hot piece of tattooed man ass Jackson in her life. She's endured a lot and her self esteem isn't great. He can't believe a perfect specimen of man like him is interested in her girly bits but he truly is. I LOVED the evolution of their relationship. It was cute and comical yet still tugged at the heartstrings due to her tragic history.Jillian, on the other hand, is fighting the battle of her life for AJ and this quirky girl that wears red rain boots to get the mail (in her underwear) stole the show for me. Life gave her lemons and damn she made enough lemonade to quench the desert. My heart was shredded yet Jillian's easy, quick humor always added that smile to my tear-soaked face. We also get more depth to Jillian's life before the funeral and her first true love, Luke. I found my heart gradually attaching itself to their soul-mate love story. Then she'd flip the switch to current day and AJ tore my softened heart to shreds with his tragic battles. "What are you scared of?” "That I won’t be able to give you everything you want.” “I just want everything you can give me.” That ending...did I mention Jewel E Ann is a sadist? I love her to bits but if she lived closer, my kindle would have a perma-dent in her forehead with that ending. All I've got to say is she shared a teaser and it gives me hope for the future of these characters. Otherwise I'd be taking a trip to Iowa...and there's not much in Iowa, boys and girls, other than our resident sadist author. I may just have to teepee her yard in cloth napkins. ***cue in creepy music***Looking forward to more mind-fucking hilarity in the final installment of the Jack & Jill Series, Dawn of Forever, out in January 2016. Until then...we wait. "God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?"Thank you Jewel E Ann, for your gift of writing and sharing your gift with your readers!Advanced copy received by author in exchange for my honest review.

Let me start by saying, I look like hell today. My eyes are red and puffy, I'm walking around in a fog of disbelief and there's the constant tick of the clock counting down the minutes until wine time. There was no way, I could close my eyes last night without first finding out how this was going to end.End of Day left me on such a high, but Middle of Knight gutted me. I was desperate for more of Jillian and Jackson’s quirky snark, but what I didn’t expect was to end up a total wreck. A sobbing mess is more like it. Thankfully, my husband was asleep and I saved myself from having to justify my Middle of Knight breakdown. I loved this story. I despised it. I giggled like a school girl. I was pissed off. I swooned. I wanted to scream. I fell completely and utterly in love. And my heart was still torn between two - the entire time. “Loving you feels like torture.”I really wanted things to turn out differently. Instead, here I sit broken and devastated. I hate to say it, but in hindsight, maybe things needed to end this way? It hurts to even think that though. My heart aches with adoration for all of these characters. There’s a part of me that’s excited for Dawn of Forever and then there's the piece of me that's in denial. How am I already picking up the final book? I want to devour it, but I want to savor it. I’m so torn.

4 ★'sAs I mentioned in my review of the first book, End of Day, this book primarily focuses on Jackson and his love life. Not to worry...we still get quite a lot of Jillian's...thank goodness. Jackson was a manwhore in his prior life but it's not for naught...he has a reason. He also has an affinity for older women. I thought there were some funny times with how Ryn dealt with being older but I really loved how crazy Jackson was about her. Things move forward with Jillian and it's painful. I fell for Luke from the get-go so I kept hoping something would happen although not quite this. It's hard not to fall for Arik James (AJ/Sarge) as well.We still get quite a few flashbacks of Jessica and Luke and they are oh sooo good! By far I adored the post it note scene even though how Luke found out about Jessica's Staple addiction was quite hilarious. Naturally the drama comes to a head X2!! Holy cow...they both were crazy! The cloth napkin though....sob! Things progress for Jackson and Ryn as well. I cannot wait to see where things go from here.So...I'm still a little on the fence about the dark side of this book. I think I would have been perfectly happy to just have the story "be" with all the other elements but then, the book probably wouldn't have been as intense without it.

4.5 Stars! This series is one heart break after another. One revelation after another. I am a total mess after that ending. I vacillate between hurt and depression for these characters (one in particular). One minute I'm full of understanding and the next I'm pulling my hair out. Because of the superb writing and the characters I won't ever forget, I'm addicted to this series. (And because I read One, a spinoff of this series first, I'm surviving right now lol)

5 Raw Emotional StarsMiddle of Knight is the second book in the Jack and Jill series. I didn’t think I could laugh and cry in the same book, but I did! When I finished the first book, End of Day, I instantly had to start Middle of Knight. SO MANY questions were going through my head. Now we understand more of Jillian’s past and we now know AJ loves her, what’s next? Will they be together? Or is the book going to keep them separated for a while? What happens to Luke? Does Jackson find someone? All of those questions are answered and more. Middle of Knight still focuses on Jillian, but a huge chunk is dedicated to Jackson. Yes, I fist pumped as well. I love Jackson. I love his strength, I love he is a geek but has tattoos on his butt, I love everything about him. This time Jackson finds someone, but not just anyone, he finds a single divorced mother who is ten years his senior. Who would have thought? I’m not a mega fan of young guys and older gals, but I do love Jackson’s love interest, Ryn. She’s sweet and super self-conscience of herself to the point you want to hug her and be her friend. It’s a refreshing part of the book I like reading. Then you have Jillian and AJ, but let’s get to Luke and Jessica first. I was worried I wouldn’t have my Luke excerpts anymore because it looks like Jillian and AJ are getting really close, but do not fret, Luke is still there. AND just when you think you couldn’t love him anymore, he will steal your heart. I can’t even describe the love he has for Jessica. It’s like those can’t-breathe-can’t-eat type of loves. Sigh. “Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”As Jillian and AJ become more serious in the relationship we realize it would be too perfect for Jillian to have her happy ending right? As the couple faces some serious hardships, I was secretly happy for this change. Like I said, I never really liked AJ, but I always felt like Jillian needed AJ, he was her necessary evil. I feel like even though they will go through some tough times, there is a happy ending somewhere.A lot happens in Middle of Knight and I was concerned it would be a filler book, but it doesn’t surprise me that Jewel E. Ann did it again. She blew my mind, made me fall in love and hooked me into this series.I’ll give anything to read the next book, but sadly I will have to wait two weeks.Read on Kindle Unlimited End of Day REVIEW | AMAZON Middle of Knight AMAZON Dawn of Forever AMAZON

4.5 stars“Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”Jewel E. Ann has officially become an auto-buy author for me. The first book in her Jack & Jill series, End of Day, completely blew me away and was a rare 5 star read for me. Middle of Knight proves just how addictive this trilogy is. The book picks up immediately following AJ’s accident and his confession that he’s in love with Jillian. There’s still a part of Jillian that is holding onto her past as “Jessica” and the love she shared with Dr. Luke Jones. However, AJ could be Jillian’s last chance at love. It seems fate is one ironic bitch though, because just as she’s deciding whether or not to love again, a life-altering discovery is made.Jillian’s reformed manwhore brother, Jackson, has always had a thing for older women. When he sees Ryn, AJ’s divorced 40 year-old cleaning lady, he decides it’s time to put an end to his self-imposed period of celibacy. His pursuit of her, as well as Jillian’s interference, is hilarious. References are made to Jackson’s demons; however, I was disappointed that we aren’t given glimpses into his past. I wanted to know more, and hopefully questions will be answered in the final book. The writing is impeccable, and I would have given this book a higher rating if it wasn’t for Ryn. I don’t mind flawed heroines, but I dislike it when they’re overly weak. She allows her daughter and psycho ex-husband to treat her like doormat, and she demonstrates little character growth throughout the book. Then there’s Ryn’s relationship with Jackson. I couldn’t understand why she constantly reminds him that she’s 40 and tries to convince him that she’s not sexy. I’m in my 40s. If I had a hot as hell tattooed 30 year-old wanting to sleep with me, I would be thanking God and singing hallelujahs. Frankly, I couldn’t see Ryn’s appeal, so I had a hard time believing Jackson would fall so hard for her. The book struggles with pacing in the beginning, but finds its footing halfway through. It’s at this point that the story starts to alternate between Jillian and AJ in the present and flashbacks of Jessica’s relationship with Luke in the past. To me, this is the heart of the book and once I hit the halfway mark, I couldn’t put it down. In typical Jewel E. Ann fashion, she had me vacillating between emotional devastation and uncontrollable laughter. As if all the emotional angst weren’t enough, someone is threatening Jillian. Heartbreaking, haunting, humorous, and touching—be prepared to have plenty of Kleenex on hand for this one. Jewel E. Ann is an evil creative genius and that’s all I have left to say—until the next book.** ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. **

GUTTED...that's the only word I can come up with right now....I'm absolutely GUTTED.This book deals more with Jackson and his relationship with an older woman who is completely adorable. We still follow Jillian/Jessica's story with more about Luke and the gut wrenching story of AJ.If you are tempted to read this...please take my advice and have not just a tissue available...have the whole freakin' box!!

Spoiler free review for End of Day (#1) & Middle of Knight (#2) 5 bloody brilliant stars! “You tore into my life…into my heart, wrecking all sense of the man I was before you. Being with you is the best part of my day…every day. You think you’re broken, but you’re not. And if you were…it wouldn’t matter. I love every. Single. Piece of you.”BLOODY HELL!!! These books will EASILY make our Top Ten list this year!!! We can’t express enough how much we loved them! What a series! What characters! What writing! What emotions! This…this was effing fantastic! It was as though Jewel E Ann had glimpsed into our book hearts, extracted everything we could want in a book and wrote it – because this had EVERYTHING we love and yet it wasn’t overdone. Quite the contrary, we didn’t miss a thing and still we wanted more and felt as though we haven’t come up for air since the turn of the first page.‘There was nothing worse than feeling dead but still being alive.’We want to give this author a standing ovation for delivering something out of the box because these books owned us for days as we found ourselves not letting go of our Kindles in order to snatch any spare second of reading we could…..we quite literally could not put these books down! Hence why, as soon as we finished End of Day we 1Clicked Middle of the Knight!“Loving you, Luke…it might be the only thing she knows how to do.”Hmmm let’s see, how would we describe these books? Well, they’re dark and thrilling, they’re gritty, they’re funny as all hell, the banter is off the wall witty, they’re steamy, they’re full of emotion (we cried a few times throughout), they’re romantic and definitely SWOONY, they’re brilliantly written, full of surprises which had us in a state of euphoria as we couldn’t guess at all where this story was heading. Every turn of the page was a revelation which doesn’t happen to us very often so when it does we’re positively giddy with excitement! We really could picture this book as if we were watching a movie – it was all so beautifully descriptive and vivid!“It’s too soon.”“It’s never too soon to take your next breath.”“He’s not a breath. He’s a step backwards.”Our text messages pretty much consisted of “I fucking LOVE this book” all the way through! Whilst the early stages of the book one had us scratching our heads in confusion, this soon made way to copious amounts of excitement, thrills, conspiracy theories, LOTS of SWOONING and a lot of guessing on our part as the author began to unveil Jude and Jessica (Jackson and Jillian’s) past and present. It’s quite difficult to write a review about the story because really, we wouldn’t want to ruin anything for readers so we’ll mainly talk about our emotions and about how FREAKING excited we were to have found these books! Can you feel our enthusiasm??“So are you a liar or just a real sick bitch?”“Depends on the day.”Every character was unique, fabulous and none felt secondary as they all added so much to the story no matter how small a part they played. Each had their own distinctive voice which guaranteed we never had to guess who was speaking ensuring the story flowed perfectly. So, thirty two year old twin siblings Jude and Jessica Day have assumed the new identities of Jillian and Jackson Knight in order to save their lives following an incident in their past that slowly comes to light throughout the story. They’ve been relocated to the kooky little community of Peaceful Woods which mostly consists of aged occupants who are sprightly and funny as all hell.Sexy and unconventional Jillian and Jackson enter this community like a meteor, bringing their own brand of eccentricity with them. Let’s just say when you picture Jillian collecting her mail….you’ll never view this task as menial ever again! This girl turns collecting the mail into a seductive art form!‘Masks were sometimes necessary. Jillian had many of them.’Where do we begin with Jillian and Jackson? These two were bloody hysterical, fascinating and mysterious. Their banter was priceless and although they share a fiercely strong bond – love and protect one another, they’re not above dishing out some very witty insults which had us smiling from ear to ear. The sarcastic and caustic wit appealed to our sense of humours completely. The story and relationships built at a perfect pace as we learnt through the effortless delivery of past and present switches, the life of Jill and Jack versus the life of Jessica and Jude and their story, their characters, their lives, their losses, their sacrifices were so addictively intriguing, heartbreaking and so completely engrossing!“But that’s not where the story begins….I was Jessica then…Jessica Day.”The cool and sexy computer nerd and former player Jackson, who decides to reinvent his philandering way, and who has a penchant for the slightly older ladies wooed us with his unorthodox ways and his ability to speak his mind. Nothing is off limits to Jackson! This guy is the epitome of HOT!Jillian….where to start with Jillian. Jillian/Jessica has got to be one of our all-time favourite heroines. This sassy, sensual, off the wall, funny and snarky woman was such a contradiction and always kept us on our toes. With her addiction to stationary supplies giving us a good laugh, she could be as hard as nails one minute and soft as butter the next. What this girl had been through and the strength she showed was powerful. She could be as hard as she could be vulnerable. We adored her.“What if….?“Shh.”, he kissed her just below her ear then whispered, “No what-ifs. I’ve got this, I’ve got you…I’ll always have you.”Luke Jones…..OH DEAR GOD! Luke Jones puts the SWOOOO in SWOON! This intelligent, somewhat nerdy, completely sexy, romantic man with a taste for argyle socks…..stole…and we mean…stole our hearts. His sense of humour was drier than the Sahara and we could picture him delivering his wit with a complete dead pan face. This guy!!!! It’s been a while since a hero has had this sort of effect on us and when you meet Dr. Jones, you’ll see why. He was passionate, sweet, commanding and when he loved…oh boy, he loved and we melted! The chemistry between Jessica and Luke was dyyyynamite! We’re still fanning ourselves after some of their scenes!“You tore into my life…into my heart, wrecking all sense of the man I was before you, Being with you is the best of my day……”Then there’s AJ, the sexy, grumpy war hero neighbour who seems to be devoid of a sense of humour was such a conflicting character. The more we dug beneath his grouchy, walled exterior the more we fell in love with him. Beneath the grouchy exterior beat the heart of a beautiful man. Oh AJ, you had us in tears so many times. We fell in love with this hero!‘She hated Luke for making her love him. She hated Jackson for making her live. She hated AJ for making her care.’And finally Ryn, a 40 years old single mother who cleans for AJ and whose path crosses with the Knights. Ryn is rediscovering her sexuality after years of living with a man who sought to beat her confidence down any way he could. Her story was tragic yet inspiring too and she too, captured our hearts.“Fuck forty.”“I think you just did.”The main players in the story Jill/Jessica, Jude/Jackson, Luke, AJ and Ryn had us hanging on their every word. Where does each character fit into the story? Oh we’re not going to tell you that! You have to find out for yourselves because that’s the fun of reading right? But what we will tell you that it’s not a love triangle. We will also tell you we met a distinctive cast of characters who we bloody loved! We enjoyed a story that had us on the edge of our seat. We experienced romance that made our hearts explode, we felt passion that had us fanning our Kindles, we encountered mystery that kept us on our toes, we fell for characters who would have us smiling and laughing one minute, confused and scratching our heads the next and even sobbing our hearts out a few times! And to top it all off, we were treated to superb writing that kept us enthralled. In short WE LOVED THESE BOOKS! If you’re after something different then go 1click immeidately!“That girl has gone. She died. Let. Her. Go.”The author advises this series is complex and interconnected and due to the dual plot lines every detail matters and that skimming this book isn’t advised and we couldn’t agree more! This is not your run of the mill simple love story and the hero and heroine are not all smiles and rainbows and that’s exactly why we loved it so much! It. Was. Different! It. Was. Entertaining! It. Was. Addictive! It was bloody fantastic! It made us feel so many emotions!‘I felt like a leaf falling from a tree and he was the wind whispering, I’ve got you.’So leave your thoughts at the door and jump into this one with no preconceived ideas. We did and we are in book heaven. The only downside of this book? The flippin’ HUGE book hangover which is going to be a bitch to get over! Still…it was worth it to experience such fabulous books!✦✦✦ TB Blog :TotallybookedBlog✦✦✦ Come say Hi : TB on Facebook✦✦✦Follow us: TB on Twitter✦✦✦Check out: TB on Pinterest

Actual words forthcoming once I can stop crying!Update:So, I think I'm okay now to crawl out of my corner. Book 2 of this series really hurt. I absolutely love these characters. Watching the dynamic between Jillian and AJ was perhaps my favorite part of this whole adventure. They both were knocked sideways by each other. What they had was wrong and unexplainable, but it worked and it was beautiful, and they were simply perfect together. They were each what the other needed. AJ was so damn grumpy and he tried so heard to have a hardened heart around Jillian, but she was quirky and funny and enigmatic and strong and unpredictable, and she worked her way right into his life and his heart. They both accepted each other for who they were and could be at that time in their lives. The end of this book ripped me to pieces. I spent the last few chapters torn between wanting to finish it and needing desperately to hide my Kindle in my freezer so it could not hurt me. I'd pick it up, put it down, pick it up, read a few words, put it back down and walk away while glaring at it from across the room, run back over to read a few more pages, then have to walk away. Finally, I braced myself for what I knew was coming and sobbed my way through to the end, consoling myself that Book 3 was right there waiting for me and might possibly give me the healing I needed.

*ARC received from author*I don’t think I can say enough how glad I am that I came across Jewel’s works thru a blog tour. Because of that, with my experience so far, I’m being given unique story lines and fascinating characters. And talk about a captivating set of characters with this series! And talk about A ride! If I thought the 1st book in the series was quite an emotional roller coaster ride already, I was wrong; this is THE roller coaster of a ride, as in the Six Flags kind! I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I was practically crying one second, laughing the next, all hot and bothered the next, nervous the next, back in tears the next, as in possibly even bawling by the end… sigh… I feel like there is so much to this 2nd book, I don’t know where to start…This picks up right where End of Day finished. Jillian is now dealing with what’s going on with AJ. We also see more of Jackson who’s now focused his attention on one older woman. In the meantime, we see more of Jessica’s past, and slowly but surely, the past is starting to catch up with the present. On top of that, new things are popping up that could be a cause for concern… That’s all you’ll get from me as I feel it really is best to just dive in…I cannot be any more in love with with all the characters, honestly! I may have been remiss in mentioning that in my review of the 1st book. So just let me say it here… Jillian with her snarky ways and all her vulnerabilities! Jackson with his hilarious comebacks, sweet insecurities, and his alpha tendencies! Jillian and Jackson together, having one of the best sibling dynamics I’ve read in a long while! AJ, knowing what I know of him from the 1st book, no matter what’s going on with him or would go on, or not… sigh… I just love him! Luke with his sweet, adorable, loving ways… sigh… I love him just as much! And now, there’s Ryn as well, with her quirky thoughts, a woman after my own heart!Oh my goodness… I think I may have just lost a few minutes or so back there, just making me think of some of the scenes all over again… book hangover for the record… those funny scenes… those poignant scenes… sigh…I say just dive in and brace yourself! Get ready to feel a thousand emotions, enjoy Jewel’s brilliant writing, and get lost in the world of Jackson and Jillian! I don’t think I’ll be wrong when I say that I don’t think you’ve read something like this before. I know I haven’t. And for that, no matter how evil I think Jewel is for putting me thru the wringer, I’ll always be thankful! And at this point, I guess nothing left to say but anxiously, yes, anxiously, wait for the 3rd book. Reminder to self, stock up on Kleenex, prepare to be called psycho by my hubby with the varied emotions I’m sure I will exhibit during my read, and see this through the very end, with relish! Did you hear that, Jewel?

I'm at an awe of pure bliss and agony, my heart Is shattered into hundreds of pieces. I can't come up with the exact and correct words to express how much I've enjoyed this book and how much I love reading Jewel's work. When I think I can't love one of her books more I'm proven wrong. These characters have dug into my heart and crawled in my head for eternity. "Thank you"

End of Day (Jack & Jill #1)Middle of Knight (Jack & Jill #2) by Jewel E Ann“Because everybody needs somebody.”These books will have you crying with laughter one minute and crying with sadness the next. These twins are hysterical, yet tragic. This is a suspense type read, yet it is a romance, oh and could even be a comedy. These are books of contradictions.“So, a kiss is an RSVP to your vagina that says: I. Will. Be. There.”It is really hard to say anything about these books without giving too much away so this is going to be one of those vague reviews, but I will say that these books are as equally thrilling as they are emotional and equally serious as they are funny. As you know I love my emotional reads and these two books definitely quenched that thirst, but in equal measures my thirst for fantastic dialogue was also met.Jackson and Jillian Knight are twins that have had to relocate because of their past and have left their real identities of Jude and Jessica Day way behind in their wake. The powers that be have set them up in an ageing district called Peaceful Woods. Mostly surrounded by people twice their age you just knew that life for these residents was about to change when these two rolled into town, peaceful would probably be a distant memory. With a past that needs to be read to be believed these two have a chance at a new life, whether they want it or not. Sometimes though the past has a habit of coming back to bite you on the bum and really, when you think about it, you can never really forget.“I apologize for being too sexy for this neighbourhood.”With a past that haunts and has left emotional as well as physical scars Jillian struggles to adapt to their new life. Missing her soul mate and her anchor Dr Luke she really has to dig deep to find the motivation to do anything. With a past that is eked out throughout the books you are slowly treated to glimpses of her past and this gives you a better understanding of the reasons the way Jillian is the way she is. “I went from trusting to fearing to an unavoidable distrust. Now I trust very few people and the person I fear the most is myself.”Jillian was an amazing character; she was incredibly strong, not only mentally but physically and could put the biggest of men on their asses. She was badass, she was sassy, she was witty, but she was also vulnerable in her own way. She was plagued by night terrors that made relationships an impossibility and to be torn away from the only man that understood her and loved her was extremely hard on her.“They made me love him…then they made me leave him.”Jackson, like Jillian was also badass, these two would fight each other for shits and giggles and stress relief. But the bond that these two had was impenetrable. The only people they trusted were each other, they loved each other intensely but the need to protect was even fiercer. They were inseparable. But on the other hand their banter, humour and intense teasing of each other will have you laughing out loud and really brings a lighter element to what is otherwise an intense, serious read.“Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.”Jackson was a computer geek as Jude, but he was no geek in the looks department and was a total manwhore. Jackson is intent on taking this opportunity to reinvent himself and the first thing he wants to stop is his manwhoring ways. Jackson wants to find “the one.” With a penchant for the older ladies, he is certainly in the right community but will he be tempted or stick to his guns? The way this book was written was genius, we have the present as Jackson and Jillian and then flashbacks to the past as Jude and Jessica and it is through these that we get to understand the predicament that they find themselves in today. You really get to understand the sacrifices that they have had to make, especially Jillian, who left her biggest one at her gravesite. The pain was portrayed fantastically and Jillian really embedded herself into my heart and head.“I’ve had too many opportunities to contemplate death. I think it’s different for everyone, but for me… when my time comes, I won’t ask any questions. I’ll simply say thank you.”Jillian captures the attention of the cantankerous sergeant major next door and it seems that she may be able to find someone to make her forget, but it soon becomes obvious that they have a lot more in common than they first realised. I loved AJ, for all his belligerent ways he had a heart of gold and as much as he was unwilling to admit, he had feelings for our Jillian. “Beneath your hardened exterior and need for self-preservation, I saw a painful vulnerability – one that you would never show. Some days when I look at you if feels like I am seeing my reflection.”I also have to mention Dr Luke; while we are only treated to this man in the past flashbacks this man helped bring Jillian back to life. While his argyle sock wearing, OCD ways will also have you in stitches, this man had a heart of gold and loved Jessica/Jillian with everything he had. Jessica and Luke were chalk and cheese but their bond was incredible. I felt their love for each other radiate off the page and I could totally understand Jillian’s pain at having to leave him behind. I was distraught myself.“She hated Luke for making her love him. She hated Jackson for making her live. She hated AJ for making her care.”I loved the writing style and the author’s voice really captured Jackson and Jillian’s story. With an air of mystery, thriller and suspense these books could also be a romantic comedy and it is this mix that makes these books perfectly balanced and a totally captivating read. While I felt in the beginning this story was a little slow, once the momentum builds these books really come into their own and will hold you hostage until the very end.“God gave you a gift of 84,600 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you? ~ William Arthur Ward”Throughout these books I found myself on the edge of my seat frantically trying to read between the lines for any morsel of information that could help me piece together this almighty puzzle. This is a book that demands your undivided attention as you tiptoe your way through some intricate plot lines but will ease that pain of concentration with that ever present wit and banter. I cannot wait for book three, like seriously cannot wait.www.theromancecover.com

4.5 stars. LOVED it!This second installment in the Jack and Jill series by Jewel E. Ann was so well done! Real life kept getting in the way of this book, so I read whenever I could squeeze in some reading time. Honestly, this would have been a great book to read in a day. Anyway, I was on my lunch break yesterday when I read a scene that made me gasp out loud. And of course I had to get right back to work after that! I was dying to get back to reading! This book. This series. It's just so different and so good. I love this author's work! She writes the most kick ass heroines. Jillian is great. She's a little crazy but soooo great! And I was surprised that I wound up enjoying Jackson and Ryn's story in this book, too. Well, I am very anxious to get back to these characters and find out what is next for all of them. This book left me wanting more, so there will be no delay in my one-clicking Dawn of Forever.
