I just loved "Papal Justice" and was hooked from the opening paragraph. Acapulco is no longer the pristine vacation place since the drug cartels took over. Tourists are long gone and all properties along the ocean are no longer able to survive without the trade. Each Mexican Cartel's "business family" members do what their leader commands without question or remorse - even when kidnapping children and killing priests. On behalf of the Catholic Pope, Cal and the Jefferson Group head to Mexico to take on the cartel and stop the ruthless killing. What they find upon their arrival is something much more intense - Jihadists have moved into Mexico, and with the help of one of the Cartel families, they are planning an elaborate scheme to kill many American infidels in the United States and become heroes. There are many new surprises uncovered for readers during the story: a private professional group of ex-military members at the beckon of the Pope and known only to him - a religious Italian reflection similar to the relationship between the Jefferson group and the President of the U.S;, traitors are uncovered in the ranks; the Pope is lured to Mexico and kidnapped; Goucho's uncle is a Cartel Leader who helps TJG; and finally, a loveable character of past Corps Justice books leaves for good.I've read all but one of the Corps Justice books and feel that "Papal Justice" is one of the more intense and compelling least within the top two or three. Highly recommended but be prepared for the heartfelt ending. Thank you Mr. Cooper for another sleepless night. John Podlaski, author"Cherries - A Vietnam War Novel" and "When Can I Stop Running"

'Papal Justice' was incredible. What. A. Ride. And man what a story. So many factors about this book seemed so unbelievable, yet they fit. From the unlikely groups coming together to fight the evil, to the story line that brought the fight to the extremists. The book was well written and well thought out. I just can't get over the ending. I'm still reeling in my emotions. I might have to take a bit before I dive into the next book. A must read though.

Fast paced action from start to finish. The weaving of the story lines from Washington to Rome to Mexico and more kept me turning page after page. I think this ranks near the top of C. G. Cooper's tales. Enjoy

The tenth book in the corps justice series. What I love about this series, besides the action and great writing, is that each book stands on its own. I've read different ones in the series and while there is obvious references to past books and actions, I never felt like I was lost or missing vital information. So if you're new to the series and this is the first book you've looked at then have no fear, you can buy this one and enjoy it as much as I have and when your done and want more you'll know you can pick them up in any order and enjoy them just as much as if you'd started at the beginning. This one starts out with a bang and barely pauses, with the tension and action ratcheting up as it goes.Priests are targeted, children kidnapped, church members slaughtered, and just when you think it can't get worse the unthinkable happens. The Pope enlists the aid of the President and his secret bulldogs, Cal Stokes and the Jefferson Group, to find out why the priests in Mexico are dying.Going to Mexico, Cal and the group hook up with the Pope's own secret tip of the spear, the ultra-secret Brothers of St. Longinus. A group of ex-special operators from across the globe, tasked with protecting the church and the Pope. When no other option is available and force is necessary the Brothers are given the tasks straight from the Holy See himself.Banding with a group of men looking like the just stepped out of the monastery, with long brown flowing robes was not really what Cal had in mind but as he find out much sooner than expected, you should never judge a book by its cover. As strange as that partnership seems it's nothing compared to the involvement of two rival drug cartel leaders, that only two special connections can bring them together.Unfortunately, Cal and the group seem to be one step behind and when the unthinkable happens with the assistance of a couple of inside men the stakes are as high as it gets.

Relevant and reflective of our dangerous timesPapal Justice, TJG, the drug lords, the monks of St. Longenous, President Zimmer- though claimed to be fictitious-are scarily reflective of today's world. There is little, if any, sense of respect felt or shown between groups or individuals with differing values, beliefs, or faith stances. We all seem to be struggling to find common ground-a cohesive force that can/will allow the safety that only bonded, trusting relationships can provide. Where, how can we find ways to provide a safe, positive world environment? Papal Justice provides one such way...through utilization of well trained, committed professional forces and the most highly developed technology to attempt defeat of forces committed to annihilating our own traditions, beliefs, and faith stances. I look forward to reading more of the Corps Justice series offers...Hoping that through the well developed, exciting, and entertaining story lines there might arise a positive cohesion among the fractured diversity of World traditions the ability to utilize high tech and advancing human capabilities for the common good.

Best of series so farI stumbled on one of the Corps Justice series with no idea of what I'd found. In the past 10 days I have consumed 10 books of the series. They definitely hooked me in. Cal Stokes, a principal character, is a Marine. He paid his dues and polished his craft in many missions around the world. His moral compass was set early in life by his family as well as the Corps. Unfortunately he's had major losses in his life and avoids close relationships of the romantic kind. He's someone you'd want on your side. So are his friends and fellow warriors. Non-stop danger along with his deep commitment to right wrongs in the world are his life focus. I thoroughly enjoyed this series although the first books contained more typos than I'm comfortable with. However, I note that both the typos and formatting have improved as the series progressed. I like that this author is committed to improve his product. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Another thrilling installment in the Corps Justice series. Cal Stokes and the rest of his team from The Jefferson Group once again get involved in keeping us safe from terrorists determined to do us harm. Add in the President, the Pope, some robed warriors, and Mexican cartels and you have all the necessary ingredients to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. While it helps to have read the previous books in the series, each book is written to stand alone. So new readers can pick this up and enjoy it as well.

Centers around Mexican cartels and jihadist and one man’s extreme hatred of the Catholic Church, which causes him to murder believers and kidnap the Pope. His well thought out plan has a 99% success rate until a team of ex-Marines and the Vatican’s own group of monk warriors join forces. No fairy tale here! An all too realistic, and timely, read as it could happen. Papal Justice is written by an ex-Marine whose passion for that branch of the military is evident, as well as his ability to write an appealing story for both genders. Not for the weak of heart.

Papal Justice: Corps Justice #10)Cal Stokes and the Jefferson Group face their biggest challenge so far. The worst of ISIS goes after the Catholic church and in particular, the Pope. The action covers a lot of the world, the action moves to the cartels of Mexico, to the borders of California and Arizona and ends with Cal losing his cousin, Travis, in the middle of an attack to gunfire during the rescue of the Pope. This is action on every page with the outcome in doubt to the very end. Thanks for another great read.

Semper FidelisI have read all 10 of the CORP JUSTICE SERIES in the last 4 days. Every minute reading this series of brave Marines and their sister services was worth it. I've never been in the military but my hat is off to each of you that has served your country. That being said I do wish Book 10 hadn't ended like it did but I eagerly await Book 11 so I can check on Cal and his team/family. Get your copies of CORP Justice Series and you will learn a lot about Cal and his team and family of military heroes. See you on the other side.

Page TurnerI couldn't stop reading til it was finished. By that time in was so full of emotions I wasn't sure which one was which. They all just blended into an ache in my chest. I could feel Cal's emptiness and fear and anguish. I could feel relief and hope. I could feel a lone presence that would never leave.

Another exciting tale that keeps you hooked until the end.I felt this brought out the evil in our jihadist enemy, the steps they will take to create total disruption of the west and Europe.. their Koranic interpretation leads them on their quest for a world wide Caliphate. If only we didn't have a muslim Potus that aids their aims at every turn. Soon to change.

WHAT A RIDE!This was one book of the nine I've read previously that shocked me to the core. The premise of a religious world leader as the main subject, as well as the narrative of the two faiths, I found it to be quite interesting and unparalleled in the previous nine and exceptionally imaginative for this series.

Action abounds when jihadists try to destroy Christianity. The Pope is kidnapped. Christian warriors, a Mexican cartel leader, and The Jeff Group gather to find the Pope and save him from murdering terrorists. There are traitors near the Pope that help set everything in motion. Good story.

Amazing!I'm amazed that I've read 10 books - that's TEN, folks - by the same author in an uninterrupted string. I've never done that before because I've never encountered a writer that could hold my attention and entertain me for that long.I have run out of words of praise after 10 reviews. Buy C. G's books. Period.

Papal justiceAn excellent tale of possibilities I had never considered but unfortunately are all too possible in the world situations of today. I found several parts such as the Pope and the U.S.President getting their hands dirty in such an active way to be too extreme but the balance was a good read.
