Could this discovery lead Dan to discover other human life in the galaxy? Maybe this will change if he gets back to earth and informs the NSA -- or will it?...

I am not sure it's worth more than one star... It is bad sf from the 1950s, when you could write anything, as sf was the creative writing of the time. Who was going to discuss that the explorers could access everything from earth on their wire transmission? But now, with internet, how does it work? Here, internet follows the lost and they will rely on it in any time. Wikipedia, and plenty of other measurement machines are here to measure anything. Of course, that works without internet which cannot travel thousands of light-years, and without electricity as we know it, but it does not matter, everything works fine. But that means any time a question is not clear, internet makes the answer, relying on wikipedia. It bothers me. Or I need an explication how do they get wiki through their wormholes. Without usable electricity, the laptops work for weeks. How I get confused between cyberandroids, humans and the animals. I have not given up, I'll finish it, but it will take a while. So far, it is a huge disappointment. No coherence, no logic. We are at the deepest point of sf, when the stories were limping on three legs. But today? It is possible to write the same kind of teen literature and expect people to like it? You notice the templars and their troops did not invebt zilch in 800 years. Their world is still deep into th iddle Ages. No renaissance, no steam power,, no electricity. Were the Templars not ssmart enough? were the conditions different?
