Where Did I Come From?: The Adventures of Sammy the Turtle Reviews
I just fell in love with this book. Reading about Sammy the Turtle’s journey to find his mother was heartwarming and an absolute delight. The baby turtle is very determined and doesn’t ever give up. He feels that someone is watching over him and helping him along the way. This is a perfect read for young children and/or adults to read to children. They will love the adventure of Sammy the Turtle. This story is also about finding God and is a great way for children to learn about our savior.I love the way the author presented this book and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. You will truly be blessed and inspired by this precious story. 5*****
As Sammy tries to find his mother, he is on an adventure. With Someone helping him along the way, he faces dangers and finally finds his mother and then gets to meet God. This is a cute book with cute illustrations that would be great for preschoolers and young children to illustrate that God is always there on their journeys.
Pam does an excellent job telling the story of Sammy the turtle from his mother laying the eggs, to his being hatched and trying to find family. His adventures are exciting. I love the characters he meets and the fact that he also gets to know God. Great story to read to small children.
I was given this title in exchange for an honest review, which in no way guarantees a positive review. Where Did I Come From? Follows the life of Sammy through hatching and meeting with various other sea creatures. Sammy goes through various trials real sea turtles would face, such as potentially becoming dinner for a bird. Could be used as a homeschool science lesson for young learners as a part of a unit study. This book has great imagery to get little imaginations working!
