A most enjoyable read and a real mind cleanser for me after all the serial killer books I read. Judy Kentrus once more writes a very good HEA story, combining wit and angst in just the right amounts. I love all the farm animal scenes (who are all named for different foods) and the different foods that always accompany Judy's books. I found that I couldn't put the book down it was so fun and captivating to read. The main characters are very real and likeable. You can see where Judy has done her research on veterans who have returned home without an appendage or two and also on special needs children. And she has incorporated that knowledge in a well written novel that was a pleasure to read. Well done Judy, keep that ball rolling.2 thumbs up and 5 stars!

I totally LOVED this story! Judy captures the true emotional feelings of Veterans with PTSD. Having many Military veterans in my family this story hit close to home. I am grateful Judy showed the emotions from the veteran and not solely those around him.

5 STAR READ!!I loved this story! I instantly fell in love with Preston. Preston was overseas and lost his leg in an explosion, but he also saved numerous people's lives while doing so. He doesn't think that he is a hero. He doesn't believe that he should even be happy. That is until he meets Cindi. Cindi is a no-nonsense type of girl and knows what she wants and she wants Preston. They both work together and both don't think the other is attracted to each other. That is until Preston invites Cindi to a dinner date with his sister who keeps ragging on him about not settling down and possibly being gay. Cindi overhears Preston say how she is no one important and Cindi is on a mission to embarrass the crap out of him. This part in the book honestly had me laughing so freaking hard. Cindi continues to try and break Preston out of his shell and how him that he is actually a hero, no matter what he says. But when she discovers something in one of the accounts, it could possibly harm her life and those around her. Will Preston and Cindy be able to work past the storm that is brewing or will this person ruin everything they both have?

When Cindi becomes a sexually worked up woman hell hath no furry like her pi**ed, “you had to write it down and practice how to dump me! I agree with your statement. You are a ***t. I’ve done everything humanly possible to make you feel like a man, even jumping into the guppy-filled pond half-naked. All you did was laugh and offer me your damn shirt! I get more affection from my pygmy goat! I’m not beautiful enough for you!” It took awhile for Preston to come out of his shell but once he's out, look at world he's unfiltered, “because I am so goddamn horny, my mind is consumed with making love to you every waking moment of the day.” He took her hand and wrapped her fingers around the throbbing proof of his confession. “This is what you do to me.” I really enjoyed this book I loved Preston and Cindi knew how to handle her man.

Another great romance by my good friend Judy...Preston Reynolds, having been wounded as an Army Ranger steers clear of the dating scene. He feels no woman will ever want a romance with him missing a leg. Little does he know love is just around the corner. When the beautiful Cindi Pearl enters the picture, our wounded warrior is about to have a change of heart. Cindi has always found Preston to be a very sexy handsome man and has every intension of getting him to wake up and enjoy life. Dust off your old soap box derby cars readers and sit down and read this sweet love story, keep the tissues close for a good cry and have a wonderful laugh as well. I really love how Judy always includes many mouth watering foods in her novels and all the funny named animals are a true pleasure to read about. I look forward to my friends next HEA love story!!

Another "Winner" from Judy KentrusPreston came home from the war without a leg and one big emotional scar. Cindi Pearl is just the perfect woman to show him that he too deserves all the happiness that life can bring. He is quiet, reserved, shy and withdrawn. Cindi loves all God's creatures here on earth, always is smiling and sees the good in all. In the restaurant scene, I found myself belly laughing at her "performance". The 4th of July ceremony is emotional and moving. Leave it to Judy to write about a sport very seldom talked about, but one that brings family's together. Soap Box Derby will bring back memories to those able to have been involved in their childhood. Once again Judy gives our happy couple a HEA that makes you glad that everything will be OK. As an author Judy keeps a on getting better and better.

I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.Cindi and Preston work for Adams Security and Investigations. Cindi takes over the financial books for the soap box derby, where she finds something wrong and goes to Preston for help.Cindi has feelings for Preston but he has closed himself off to the idea of relationships. Will Cindi be able to win him over?Follow along with Cindi and Preston on their emotional and crazy ride. This was a good book. I loved to see the lengths people go thru to fight for what they want.

"Winner Takes All" is a story that would make a good Hallmark Channel movie.

Winner Takes All is so full of personality! Filled with twists and turns that makes this story addicting. I instantly fell for Preston, who is an Army Ranger Veteran. He lost his leg overseas in an explosion, but also lost so much more. He lost his ability to smile, laugh and he thinks he lost his ability to make any women happy. Cindi, who is so full of spunk, kindness, and who has so much love to give is the perfect person to prove Preston wrong. Cindi is exactly what Preston needs to shake things up. Being there while Cindi brings life back into Preston is beautiful, fun, and something I think all readers will enjoy. This book has is ALL! Love, romance, suspense, laugh out loud moments and even heart wrenching moments. Most of all it is filled with MUST READ moments! I can't wait to read more Judy Kentrus!

I won this book in a giveaway on Goodreads. I began reading this book on December 27, 2015, and read 2 chapters. There are swear words on the first page of this book, and several times within the first 2 chapters. I am not a fan of books with swear words, and prefer more Christian Fiction type material. I do not use swear words, and when I read them, I feel like I might as well have said them out loud. So once I finished the second chapter, I went ahead and read some reviews, and it is obvious that the words continue throughout the book. No offense meant towards anyone, and no offense taken, this is just not my cup of tea in material that I enjoy reading. Therefore, I will not be finishing this book.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Judy Kentrus. Cindi Pearl Sullivan had worked with Preston Reynolds 3 years ago and always thought he was special. She was the 1 person who treated him like a man and not a cripple. Preston Reynolds never admitted he had PTSD but he mostly kept to himself. Being thrown together Cindi Pearl and Preston can't admit to each other their feelings but it takes someone stalking Cindi Pearl to bring out their feelings for each other. This is a awesome contemporary romance that has a touching way with a couple delicate subjects like PTSD and special needs people.

Even though it took me a while to get to it, I was very excited to begin reading Winner Takes All ...but not before I started to read Arrest Of The Heart with my pirate Lincoln again ...It's one of my favorites !!And now I immensely enjoyed reading this story ; the characters were so easy to fall in love with . Sometimes I had tears in my eyes and sometimes I laughed out loud .That's why I was sad to reach the ending of Preston Reynolds & Cindi Pearl 's story . Thanks Judy for another awesome story .

I absolutely LOVE this book! The author truly captures the torment and roller coaster ride of Veterans having PTSD. I cried when the characters cried. I also belly laughed when they did. Having many Veterans in my family this book has hit close to home, The characters are developed and "real". So many times when reading you notice when the characters are fictional. This is definitely NOT the case here. I honestly wish there was a way to give it 10 stars!I highly recommend this to anyone who has a loved one in the military as it encompasses many feelings and "triggers" of memory

This was my very first, Judy Kentrus book. From the moment I first opened the book, I was hooked. Such a fun read. Lots of humorous moments. Definitely worth the reading time you'll put into the book. When you've finished reading, you'll be sad that it's over because it was that good. Absolutely a feel good story!

Unwanted feelingThis is the first book I have read from this author. This book was good and I would eventually like to read about the rest of the characters. Everything that Preston went through felt believable.
