Let me count the ways. He was the biggest thorn in my side when we were young. Back then, he was tall, hot and dangerous--hell, he still is; more so, actually, plus an arm full of tatts. He used his popularity and charming, cocky smile for evil. He never missed a single chance to tease me, torment me, or make my life miserable. Worst of all, I never knew why he targeted me to begin with. You'd think time would heal all wounds, but whoever said that was a lying sack of sh*t. Because I'm an adult now, so I should be over it, right? Well that's kind of hard now that my absentminded father is married to his stripper mother. Thanks, Dad. Now I'm stuck on the back of his motorcycle, clinging to his muscular form for dear life as we trek across the country to my dad's lakehouse. And worse yet, he's found new ways to torture me. Ways that send chills down my spine. Ways I just might not be able to resist... And all I wanted was a nice, quiet summer to myself. THREAT is a sexy, full length, standalone romance with a HEA...if you can handle him first....

A autora escreve bem e acabou me cativando. Vou ficar de olho no trabalho desta autora. Recomendo!----------------------------Someone recommended me this book and I went to read without having read the blurb ... it was nice, because I avoid books with stepbrother theme, I think the authors all decided to write about the same subject. I was positively surprised and I ended up really enjoying the story. The author writes well and captivating me. I'm going to keep an eye on the work of this author. Recommend!

This is seriously the BEST step-brother romance I have ever read. Less titillating and more deeply romantic than any I have read before. It was so sweet and sad and yes, definitely off the charts sexy. David, aka Threat, has not had an easy life. He's got a manipulative dirtbag for a father and a mother has never been quite what she seems, but never quite there for him either. Leah also hasn't exactly lived a charmed life either. While her father is finally making it in the entertainment field and money isn't an issue, body issues and a bully (Threat!) made her school years torturous. Now that she's graduated and finally about to have a life of her own, her father throws her for a loop. Threat and Leah are so amazing together. They have so much in common and such a painful past. Their banter was so hilarious and their journey getting to know each other so sweet. I really just fell in love with them both and rooted for them the whole way. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this book and look forward to reading more of Ash's work in the future.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review! I love a good stepbrother romance and this one did not disappoint. Threat is Leah's childhood bully and she is not happy to learn that her father married his mother. I love the interactions between the two, it starts off as a hate/hate relationship but the more time they spend together the more the two develop feelings for one another. I loved the chemistry between our H and h. I loved how Threat grew and became a better person to prove to Leah that he was trustworthy. This is a good, well written story and I am looking forward to what Elena Ash writrs next!

3.5 Sexy Stepbrother Stars!!Some parts were... ridiculous.. but for the most part, this was a light, fun and sexy read. I enjoyed it and read it all in one sitting. Threat... yeah, the name sounds kinda silly, but regardless, he's a bad boy asshole who was steamy sexy. Can't help but love him just a little... ok, a lot. :P

2.5 stars. This had the opportunity to be a good book. But holy crap, the errors in this book made it nearly impossible to finish. I would have to put it down for days at a time to get through the grammatical errors. Like peer, instead of pier, when you are talking about a long dock that goes into the water. Anywhere was spelled as two separate words. There were so many more, I eventually lost count. Also, referring to a girl's nether regions as a "cave" freaked me out. lol Never in my life have I heard it referred to as that and that is saying something, because I have read more smut than I would like to admit. I really hope this author gets herself a new editor, like yesterday.

Can deception and anger fill the void of love? One has a background of privilege and the other struggled. Will a new beginning be possible? Or will their younger years be too tainted to see a future.

Great read.I really enjoyed this book , its easy to get into and a great read. But my only complaint would be that Leah is annoying and a bit of a bitch . I loved Threat a lot ,so he made my mind up that I'd keep reading it and I'm glad I did .

Threat was not what I was expecting. I was expecting your typical step brother romance, but what I got instead was something unique. I found many things I liked about this story, but I also found a couple of things that I couldn’t get past. This book does have a lot of heat though, so if you like some steamy scenes, this book is for you.Threat is a story about Leah. She is an only child being raised by a single father after her mother abandoned them when she was young. Her father is known to make reckless decisions at the drop of a hat. With his latest decision, he brings a new step mom into the family along with her adult son, Threat. Only Threat is the same bully who tortured her in school. Threat doesn’t care much for his mom and is looking to make it on his own in life. He will do anything to succeed, even if it means he has to be selfish in order to do it.Rather than these two being step siblings for a long period of time or even at a younger age, this story already takes on a different direction. The fact that these two knew each other in school and actually hated each other adds some depth to the storyline. I think these two are characters that we can love to hate. When we see Threat through Leah’s eyes, we sure love to hate him. He is selfish (and admits so when we are in his head). With that being said, Leah is not perfect either. Through Threats eyes, we can see how her personality is seen by others. She actually comes off as a stuck up brat who is selfish as well.I really liked being able to see these two characters develop. I think that when they are confined together, they brought out the best in each other. I think that they have a lot of underlying personality traits in common that it helps them see how their own reactions are coming off to other people. I really liked their interactions with each other and some of the deeper conversations that they have together. I also like how Threat attempts to help Leah overcome some of her past heartbreak in order to become a better person. There were a few things in this story that I did not like. I think this story progressed too fast. There were a couple of times I had to stop and remind myself that only days had passed rather than weeks. I felt that the tempo of the story was too fast to be organic and made me feel like things were rushed. I also felt that Leah was very hard for me to like. Even towards the end, I was still finding her annoying and selfish. I will say that I admire the way the author wrote her in the end though. I really thought that this story would end differently (in a bad way), but was surprised that it ended differently. That was redeeming Leah for me.Overall, this was an ok book. While I enjoyed parts of the story, I felt it fell flat for me overall. I just wish that both characters were more complex. Threat was a great character and I loved reading about him, but Leah was bland for me. I liked the plot and the overall idea, but I think that it could have been executed in a different way which would have improved the story significantly. I would not really recommend this to family or friends.Favorite Quotes:“It’s been a long time, turtle.” - Threat“Oh, I don’t know, maybe because I have a life, and social skills, and I’m not some uptight virgin living life vicariously through brain dead romance novels.”“Yeah? And you’re also twenty years old, you still live at home, you have a shitty dead-end job, and a rap sheet,” I spit out. - Threat and Leah, ThreatStar Ratings:Plot = 3/5Characters = 3/5Heat = 5/5Writing Style = 3/5Overall Rating = 3/5**A copy was provided in exchange for a fair and honest review**REVIEWED BY JENN.

OMG!!! What a hot, sexy read!!! I will admit this is my first stepbrother romance. I know there have been mixed reviews on them. However, I will admit my Kindle is loaded up with them. I have to say I am ecstatic that I chose Threat to take my stepbrother V card away! Lordy, that boy is HOT!Our heroine, Leah, is a shy, intelligent girl who has busted her butt to be accepted into Stanford. She’s hoping to leave her past behind. Middle school and high school were not kind to her thanks to bully, David. Even though he has been gone, the names he called her followed her until she graduated. She is looking forward to spending her last summer at home with her father. Her plans are thrown into disarray when she receives the news from her father that he is married, and she now has a stepbrother who will be moving in with them. He does all this over the phone from his honeymoon. If that wasn’t a shocker, when she meets her stepbrother, she almost has a coronary. Her new stepbrother is none other than her tormentor, David, now known as Threat who is a sexy tattoo artist. However, she knows under that sexy exterior is the same jerk. He sees her as the same uptight, snobbish girl he tormented in school. But, as they spend more time together, that sexual pull between them becomes stronger. Will they find that appearances can be deceiving, and their impressions of each other may not be accurate? But, can Leah trust him, or does he have ulterior motives?I am a sucker for a bad boy with a bad mouth, and at first Threat appeared to be both of those things, but I did feel he could sometimes cross a line with Leah and tick me off. As I got to know him, I found that he was more than that sexy bad boy. I saw that there might actually be a heart under there, and he and Leah had more in common than I thought. God, that boy had a crass sense of humor that I adored! There were several hilarious laugh out loud moments for me, especially the hot tub scene with Leah’s Kindle. There was nothing I disliked about Leah. From Threat’s POV, she could come across as judgmental and snobbish, but she wasn’t. She was actually shy, and it became obvious as the book progressed why she was the overachiever that she was. I liked that she grounded Threat and would call him out when he would lose his temper, and I liked that he showed her how to take risks and not only live life but enjoy it. There were several steamy sex scenes, but I enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t just all about sex for them. They really got to know each other and see the good sides and the bad sides. I warn you their road to romance was bumpy, but the journey was well worth it. I noticed at the end of the book, Elena Ash is coming out with her second book, Menace, in the winter, and I can’t wait to read it!***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***

I’m an avid reader. For any particular reason, this is the first stepbrother romance I had the pleasure to read.Maybe the word “stepbrother” is the reason for my hesitation. However, Elena Ash did a wonderful job.David Banducci, aka Threat is Leah’s childhood nightmare. He’s the one she wants to forget and be far, far away.Destiny had different plans and joined them. Now he’s her stepbrother!Threat sees Leah as a spoiled little brat and he won't waste an opportunity to ruin her life, once again. Ruining her life will be the key to his future and he will make sure of that. Threat is decided to give Leah a very, very interesting summer. However, Threat will find out soon enough that Leah is not willing to lose this game and that the spoiled little brat she once was is now a beautiful and intelligent young woman.Soon, Threat will see that his feelings for her are more than he had even imagined and the chemistry between them starts to appear.Leah struggles to fight and win but Threat has his own ways too and they both surrender to each other. Will they be able to fix what was once broken? Will they be able to forget their pasts? Will they be able to overcome the terrible secret Threat is keeping from Leah? What if David is no longer a Threat? This story is so much more than I could imagine. The family bond is long forgotten and I couldn't stop reading. I loved this book with all my heart. David and Leah are a perfect match! But they have to fight. Let's see who wins! Elena Ash wrote a wonderful book with hot scenes but at the same time sweeter and I definitely recommend it to everyone that wants to read a good story with well-built characters. A must read! Truth or Dare?

I said yes to this novel right away! With a fast pace, snappy dialogue and dynamic scenes, this story has been highly addictive to me. Admittedly, the male character is hard to like at first and the female character may seem to yield too easily to his bullying tactics, but all the banter, teasing and nagging result in very entertaining scenes. The dialogues are a lot of fun and the whole story is so engaging. Can you imagine a bet that consists of a man daring a young woman into doing naughty things in order to get the ownership of a tattoo parlour? That's Threat's initiation to his new family thanks to his mother marrying Leah's father. That premise alone made me want to read this novel straight away. What chaos! It was so promising. The two characters are opposite poles yet they slowly share emotional issues around their family bonds. It's not a soft, pink romance. this stepsiblings relationship is reeling with verbal fights and completely maddening provocation. Still, the chemistry radiates heat and they truly share pain and a sense of abandonment. Actually, I appreciated the fact that when that horrible truth explodes between them, nothing is resolved easily. The last part of the story is so much worth it thanks to the characters evolving and fighting for a true bond.I loved how they react to each other's influence as much as the funny dares, the addictive dialogues, the dramatic fallout, the few yet awesome steamy times and the tattoos. I'm completely satisfied with the whole plot, it's well written, inspired and funny, as much as it is emotional at the end. And I'm sure happy to know Threat has a companion in Menace next winter!

*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review*I have never read a book by Elena Ash but considering that it is a stepbrother romance, I knew that it was going to be something that I would enjoy reading. I am after all a big fan of stepbrother romances. “Threat” and Leah did not disappoint, the sexual innuendo , heated arguments along with scorching sex was entertaining and arousing. I loved every minute of it!David Banducci also known as Threat is a man who has been in trouble most of his life. This is not a surprise with an absentee father and stripper mother hooking up with anyone and everyone. So when he finds out that his mother has a new rich hubby, he is less than thrilled. After making an unscrupulous bet with his father, in order to become owner of the ink shop, he plans on spending the summer with his new family and wearing down Leah’s defenses. Leah has been dealing with Threat bullying her for most of her school years. She is bitter and resentful and does not wish for him to a part of her family, nor does she believe he has changed. When these two embark on a road trip and there is an on going game of truth or dare, sparks fly and ignite. There is no denying their sexual attraction and complex feelings for one another. This is one of those fun, steamy, reads that is full of heart. David and Leah come on strong from the start and leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend for anyone who loves forbidden romances, angst, and lots of sexual tension. I look forward to reading many more steamy romances from this author.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Leah is a bookworm and an introvert, who planned on having a nice, quiet, uneventful summer. But things don't always go as you planned, and life reminds Leah of this when her father marries a stripper, who happens to be the mother of her worst enemy from school, David. The very one that made her life hell. Small world, huh?As if it isn't bad enough to have David waltz back into her life again, AND as her new step-brother, the two are then forced into taking a road trip together. But as the miles tick by, things begin to change between them, and they begin to see each other as the adults they are now, rather than who they were in school. I really enjoyed seeing how Leah and David went from hating each other, to that hatred dissolving as they began to actually get to know the other and their relationship grew. It was nice getting to see David grow into a better person and by the end of the book, I was definitely rooting for him and Leah. I won't give away any spoilers, but If you like a good romance, with a HEA, and are into the step-brother craze, then you should give this one a try.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review...Great read!! Twisted, damaged, well written, and a all around great read. David "Threat" Banducci is a real piece of work. He works hard to live up to the name and has a body that he has honed too. He hasn't had it easy with a stripper Mom and an absent Dad who didn't acknowledge him until he could start paying out in his tattoo shop. Now his Mom has run off and married some rich comedian who is the Father to the girl he used to tease in school, Leah. Leah gets a call from her Dad that he met and married a lady friend. She has a son who will be moving in with them and she should go introduce herself. She is shocked when she realizes who it is. Threat's Dad smells blood after Leah leaves and decides to dangle a wager Threat's way, which he takes. How far will Threat go to win the bet? Things aren't all happy family like Leah's Dad try's to make them. In fact it's quite the opposite. There is a huge a attraction between Threat and Leah though. Leah thinks it's enough to change somethings but the past is too deep. Words are said, feelings are hurt. What Leah doesn't know is she does change Threat for the better but she will.

I'm not sure if I should rate this 3 or 4.Cos although the book starts off fine and is interesting up to 3/4th way, it goes somewhat downhill from there.Leah kinda turns into this whiny smwhat biyatchy and slightly moronic person. Its hard to understand why she couldnt make any friends in Stanford - just cos she is straight and a bit uptight? Why is it that, in any college in a YA novel except for the heroine and may be one or 2 of her nerdy friends, everyone else are playing cliched roles like EVIL cheerleader/hot-girl/mean-girls usually blondes or creepy jock guys who cant leave the heroine alone...Also most of the time its hard to realize why the lead characters go for each other and cant 'get them off their minds ' - cos there doesnt seem to be much bonding or some sweet moments.. Its all 'wham-bam-oh-im-suddenly-in-love-with-u-dahlin'..Surprisingly David and Leah have much better interactions and reasons to be together...Though I'd think if I met anyone who called themselves as 'threat' I'd be more inclined to laugh at the silliness! :)

I have to say that this book was really good and it held my attention from beginning to end. The chemistry that these two characters have is freaking fabulous. I mean one minute that are at each other’s throats ready to kill one another and then then next minute that want to rip each other’s clothes off.I now have a soft stop for Threat, I mean his whole life to me was a lie. Once he talked to his father...I just wanted to jump in my kindle and take care of him. OMG then towards the end of the book when he did a semi 180....Be still my heart. I am telling you...soft spot.Leah is on my good side. She is something else, living life under the radar. I get it, I truly do. But I love how Threat starts playing Truth or Dare and she starts to open up to him a little more. Now again this book is crazy awesome, hot as hell, and just overall adorable. I also like who this book is in both Threat and Leah's point of view. That to me makes the book. I need and want to know what they are thinking!Great super-fast go and read it and tell me what you think?

What a great stepbrother story- Leah doesn’t know that her dad’s new wife’s son is her childhood bully. When she finds out , she is shocked but even more so when she learns she has to share the home with him while their parents are off honeymooning. Leah doesn’t know how to take David who now goes by Threat and oh boy is he- a tall, and handsome threat to her sanity. I found Leah to be a bookworm, a lot into books and sort of an introvert while David is an extrovert. The story really gets going when they ended up having to take a trip. On this trip, we get to see Leah relax and open up ( courtesy of Threat) and she starts to think maybe things have changed. There are so maybe emotional twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Oh the games they played were oh so good, loved it. And the emotions are great—one minute your laughing, the next crying with the characters. Fanastic storyline that goes with the flow. Cannot wait to read the nest story from this author. ARC received for an honest review. This was a good read for this genre.I received my ARC prior to editing there were a couple of minor glitches nothing too major that spoilt my reading of the book. This is a step sibling romance which is is reasonable for this genre no huge plot difference , however I did find the minor charatures input in this book to be interesting to read about. Not everyone in this world is nice, sometimes people who care about you shield you from harsh realities and that maybe you would be better off knowing about the things that go on, rather than viewing the world through rose tinted spec they should tell it how it is.All in all the characters were well written. I felt for the lead both male and female at the part where they "slay their dragons" story I don't like spoilers in a review.i also enjoyed the game that was played it gave some insight and back story to them as individuals. At the end of the day this is a good book for this genre but if you like you classics like Romeo and Juliet or pride and prejudice this is probably not for you.

"Let the games begin"--too bad Leah doesn't know she's playingThis book is sexy and enjoyable--lots of heat between dirty-talking Threat and Leah.I’m sure Threat’s dad didn’t expect his nasty little bet to actually end up pushing his son and Leah closer together. In the end, what matters more to Threat—loving Leah or owning the tattoo shop? There are some bumps, but she gets the important stuff right--good writing, interesting characters and sexy, sexy love scenes. The name the stepbrother uses ("Threat") irritates me. It takes me out of the story and makes me think of angsty suburban kids who call themselves things like “Azrael Abyss” or “Chet Haze.”I don’t like how the conflict with Threat’s dad is resolved at the end. Without revealing any spoilers, it just couldn’t happen that way. Overall, these are minor issues. They certainly didn't keep me from enjoying Threat. Sexy Steamy Threat! I loved this Stepbrother romance! How the two main characters David and Leah had known eachother since middle school! They each had their own painful story with Leah's mom leaving her at a young age and David's Mom and Dad not really being there. The chemistry between Leah and David is just Sizzling!! David is Smoking hot with plenty of Sex appeal and lots of Ink! Leah is one of those that doesn't realize how Beautiful she is! Their Road trip was funny, Steamy, and I cried during the detour to Leah's Moms house, it broke my heart! Definitely her Loss! Threat is a great Read! I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put my kindle down! I definitely need a Cold shower Now lol! I loved the Ending it was Sexy and Sweet! I can't wait to read more from this Author!! Wow! This is my first book by Elena Ash and all I can say is WOW! I will definitely be putting her on my favorite author list. This book is so complex in the writing it was impressive. You can really relate to Leah Parker. Tortured through her school years by David Banducci - now called Threat. With a cruel twist of fate he becomes her step-brother. Her absent minded father married his stripper mom. Ohhhhh did I hate him for the first part of the book! but you get to like who he has become and even feel bad for him at times. Leah tried so hard to get over the bullying and now has to find a way to live with Threat. I cant wait to read more from Elena Ash.I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.

Hot hot hot stepbrother romance!I got this ARC fir an honest review and it was perfection!Leah, the introvert bookworm is faced with a new challenge, her dad has remarried and she has a new family, which includes a big stepbrother. What she doesn't expect is for him to be her worst enemy, he has come back to torture her all the way from her High school nightmare, and he is hotter that she remembered. He has a lot of hate saved for little leah, she was a brat in school and probably still is, so the bet seems like a good enough idea for threat. But when they let go of the past they realize that there's so much more than hate between them, and its steamy and ready to explode! This book for me was great! It was perfectly written and had amazing characters. You love him even when he is being an idiot and you hate her when she runs from him!

This is a very well written stepbrother romance and I loved reading this! David, now known as Threat, tormented Leah all through school and she cannot stand him. Their parents get married and now he's her stepbrother. Their relationship is complicated to say the least and they end up going on a road trip where perspectives are challenged and secrets are revealed changing everything for both of them. I loved the intense chemistry between these two and I couldn't get enough. My only disappointment was when this ended and I'll definitely be searching for more from this author to read in the future. I highly recommend this to anyone and I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Only small problem I had is the missing words/ wrong words in some places. Other than that this was a excellent romance. I feel for Leah for, she was torment in school by a bully calling her names an lasted until high school. Her tormentor is David but now goes by Threat and his is your typical bad boy tattoo artist with a dead beat for a father and a 'working girl' of a mother. In the beginning Leah's father tells her he is married but also has a new stepbrother at the same time, is a big shock but the icing on the shit pile is her school bully/tomentor is now her new brother is when she is about to become a raging inferno.ARC was given for an honest review.

Can a bookworm perfectionist and an inked bad boy make it work together?Leah is shocked when her father marries a woman, who turns out to be the mom of the boy who bullied her throughout school. Even as their relationship develops, you know that news of Threat's bet with his dad to bring Leah out of her shell will be revealed and throw up roadblocks to their relationship. They each have painful issues in their past that they need to let go in order to be able to move forward together. I loved Threat and Leah, separately and together. I have to say I found this book quite enjoyable. It was a pretty easy read but there were times I found myself laughing out loud. The two main characters are Leah, a nerdy book worm with very little self esteem, and her childhood tormentor Threat (aka David), who is the troubled bad boy. They end up becoming step siblings and that's when all the fun begins. I found the game they played during the trip to be quite entertaining. There was also a bit of a twist at the end. I would recommend this book, especially a good wine night read :)*** I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review***
