At the innocent age of 10, Amelia’s world is yanked from under her. Will returning to her childhood home after 8 years result in the life she hopes for or will the tormenting nightmares, terrifying storms, the house that haunts her and the unsolved mystery that tortures her win over Amelia’s desires? Does she dare hope for the one constant she left behind? Amish Girl grips the reader from the time they read the first paragraph to the very last word. A combination of Amish and mystery, Bayarr threw twists and turns into her plot, along with a little humor and a shocking ending. I was fully engrossed and hated to see it end! True to Bayarr’s other books, this one is appropriate for readers of all ages.

A real page turnerOne I started reading this book there was no way I could put it down until I finished it! The first chapter pulled me in setting up a story about a ten year old Amish girl who finds her world changed forever, what happens is unimaginable. While the beginning grabbed me it was the suspense filled twists that kept me reading.

Nightmare returns?Very good story about an Amish couple murdered in front of their ten year old daughter. When the killer turns on her, Amelia runs for safety. Unfortunately, the killer finds her but she now has a gun and accidentally kills him (eyes closed)When Amelia returns eight years later, it seems the nightmares (real or imagined) return as well. There are many surprises , twists and turns in this story.

This wasn't too bad for a short read on kindle unlimited. It was an interesting premise that could have been an excellent novel if the story were a bit more fleshed out. There was one plot point at the end which doesn't make sense to me and was never explained. Oh well. It's short and sweet so I can't complain too much.

Not worth the .99 centsThe price and description of this book is what drew me to buy it. It is only a short story, I read it in a couple of hours. It got worse as I got further into the story instead of better and I feel like I wasted my time reading it. It is not realistic for what would happen to a real Amish family.

First of 3 books in this series. Quick very intriguing book. Amelia is returning to her home in an Amish town after spending 8 years in an orphanage. Her parents are dead. Shot by a stranger in black who she shot in self defense. After what happened to her parents, she didn't trust anyone. But her childhood friend is there to help. There are many twists and turns in this exciting book.

Amelia has suffered from a young age until she was a young woman. The reason for her suffering is absolutely amazing. You won't be able to stop reading this book. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

This was my first go at a Christian Suspense book. I was pleasantly surprised. Amelia witnesses the brutal murder of her parents at 8 years old, and was able to escape to a neighboring farm where she arms herself with a gun. When the intruder follows her, she is able to stop him. She suffers the consequences of being placed in a state facility and then being shunned by her community. When she returns home to the house that was left to her, its in shambles. This is a truly engaging story, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

What would you do if you were an innocent 10 year old Amish girl and you witnessed a horrible crime? Would anyone believe you? Amelia finds out in this mystery that has all the elements of a great story that keeps you guessing. After 8 years, Amelia returns to her home where a chill runs down her spine as the ghosts from the past haunt her. Will anyone welcome her home? Can she overcome the pain and heartache she felt all those years ago. The characters are well developed and I loved how Amelia was a determined young lady who would stop at nothing to find out the truth from that night which changed her life. The author does an amazing job of bringing twists and turns into the story just as the reader gets comfortable. I was very much pleased with the ending and I will say it will be a shock for readers. The question is, can you really come home again? Be sure to absorb every word as the story draws to a unbelievable ending. I can't wait to read the next book from this gifted author. I was given a digital copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Given To Me For Honest ReviewThis book is fantastic. Something happens in childhood and "The Amish Girl" is sent to a mental hospital for many years. Once she becomes 18 she is then let out to go back to the home where everything happened. She is afraid of the past. Will she be safe? Will she be able to life in the house where it all happened? Will she finally find out the truth about her parents? I gave this book 5 stars but wish I could have given it many more. I highly recommend this to everyone. Once you begin to read it you won't put it down until you finish it. Samantha Bayarr did a fantastic job with this book and I now wait for more from her.

Who dun it? Amelia, tormented from a childhood tragedy, tries to return back to her childhood home to face her fears that have haunted her in the orphanage she was placed in when she thought her parents were murdered. After she returns back to her childhood home as a grown adult, she is threatened and the terror begins. Caleb, her childhood love continues to try to protect her but can he protect her. Can Caleb sort out all the threats against her. Good read even though it's short. The story keeps your attention.

Terrible waste of timeI couldn't decide whether the dialogue or the way the story simply devolves into a race to see how many soap opera contrivances could be squeezed on a page was the worst offender in this short story masquerading as a novella. The pacing is tragic, the storyline makes a Lifetime movie seem well developed and thorough. Sadly, this had the potential to really be something had it not been so rushed and painfully clichéd... It simply never happened.

This is the first book I have read by Samantha Bayard, and I will admit Iwas a bit skeptical at first, simply because it really isn't my type of book. Let me tell you however, I am so glad I read it and I can not wait to read the next book in this series. This book kept me guessing and just when I thought I had it figured out, BAMMMM I was wrong. Great writing style and story line...kept me hooked from beginning to end.!
