After reading THE MIDWIFE I was really hoping they would tell Elsies tale and so I was excited when I realized this was her side to this story. Elsie's soul was switched with Elizabeth's in the previous book The Midwife. In that book you see Elizabeths story, but don't get much from Elsies side. Well this is her story. Once switched she finds herself in the year 2006. Being from 1279 she is a bit shocked. She slowly begins to learn about the world around her, she falls in love, and she has many surprises that come her way. The choice finally comes whether to stay or go. Torn between her life in this new world or leave all that she has found and grown to love. I absolutely loved this book. It was so easy to fall in love with this story. All the characters were great. This book brought many surprises and each one was amazing. I really loved Elsie as she learns to live in the modern world. This story was heart wrenching, funny, romantic, and all around a wonderful book....Stormihttp://www.boundlessbookreviews.com

Captivating time-travel romance!I really enjoyed this fantastic story! If you want Time Travel, Romance, Adventure, then Once Found, will be perfect for you! Usually, we follow an heroine or hero through time, from the future to the past. In Ceci Giltenan, 2nd story, The Midwife, the heroine Dr. Elizabeth Quinn, was thrown to the past, 1279, right in the arms of a charming Scottish hero, but in the body of Elsie! Now, 2006, more than seven hundred years later, Elsie is thrown forward to the future in the body of Dr. Quinn. Let's say, that Elsie, is more confused than ever! Some scenes are so cute and funny, because of all the new things she has to learn to understand. During her stay at the hospital, she meets Gabriel, a man she supposedly loved. What an awkward situation! She can’t remember anything! With time and patience, will Elsie start having feelings for Gabriel? Will the pocket watch do it's magic again? What will happen next? This book, can be read alone, but I would suggest, that you read, The Midwife, Elizabeth and Cade's own story in Scotland, to fully understand, what really happen to these two charming women!

Once again a well written book about the pocket watch and the people it changes their lives with time travel etc. I usually prefer it when it goes back in time but it connects with the last book.

This is an incredible novel by an incredible author. Elsie has thought she found love with a young minstrel however all of a sudden she finds herself more then 700 years in the future in the body of Dr. Elizabeth Quinn in a hospital of all places. Dr Gabriel Soldani has only been in love twice only to lose it and end up alone. In medical school he fell hard for the real Dr. Quinn, but it wasn't to be as their careers took them in different directions. When their paths suddenly and unexpectedly cross again he can only hope that he's been given another chance however there is only one problem Elizabeth doesn't remember him. Can they overcome the odds and find true love? Ceci Giltenan takes you on an unexpected tour that will shock you to your core in this amazing heart wrenching loveable book. Once love is lost can it be found again? Why not read it and find out as I did. Ms. Giltenan is truly amazing and superbly talented.

I think the book didn't need to be as dragged out but I did get answers and I love how everything is connected. So I can't really complain.

It was interesting to follow Elsa's side of the story, after reading the 2nd book in the series. However, I really could have done without all the descriptive sex. Also, those descriptions seem too modern for what a 13th century girl would have felt comfortable with. Besides all that, I did like the way the various people in the story experienced time travel. All that was different and appreciated.

Love comes with its priceGenre: romanceElsie wakes in Elizabeth's body in 2006. She is terrified because she doesn't recognize anything until Gabe Soldani comes into her hospital room. Gabe helps her and she goes home with him when she leaves the hospital.Elsie learns many new things and pieces of the puzzle she has dropped into start to come together. Gertrude as always is a fun character bringing truth to the forefront. It is a lovely story that ties up loose endings from the second pocket watch book. There is some heat to this romance.

In this Pocket Watch story we hear the story from 'The Midwife" but from Elsie's point of view. We read about Elsie waking up in hospital and having to deal with Elizabeths' family and her apparent memory loss. She meets Gabe (an ex-boyfriend) in the hospital and knows that she loves him. He agrees to care for her and takes her home with him to help her recover. They are soon falling deeply in love but Gabe doesn't know she isn't really Elizabeth and Elsie knows that she could be sent back to the past at any time should Elizabeth make the decision. I really enjoyed this story and preferred it to the previous book. The story of Elsie and Gabe was a very enjoyable read and a true tale of sole mates. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend this series.

Actual rating: 4.5 meant-to-be stars. ;)I had high hopes for the third book of this series. This time it is Elsie's story.I enjoyed reading this but I sort of expected the story to be different than what the book did. I was confused by Gabe and Elizabeth's relationship.Halfway through the story, I was sure that I'll be giving this 4 stars because it was more than okay but it was missing something. Then that twist happened, haha. Wow. I did not see that coming. I was totally unprepared. Gertrude, you sly woman. XDThe concept of time not being linear is the strength of this series. And loving someone's soul instead of the physical. Amazing. :)

Once Found: The Pocket Watch Chronicles #3 by Ceci Giltenan, can be read as a stand alone, but I'd recommend reading the previous Books in this series, to help follow the generations though time. A unique and original Time Travel Romance. Instead of going from the future to the past, in this one the heroine goes from the past to the future. The "The Pocket Watch Chronicles" follow generations through time by way of a pocket watch. The H/H find themselves in a dilemma, the heroine is thrown four hundred years into the future, but doesn't remember the hero, whom she had a blossoming love. WOW, talk about a dilemma, can love once lost be found again, no matter the time? Steady faced tale of a Midwife's shenanigans, love, disappointment, trust, family and second chances at love. The author ties up lose ends nicely, brings the characters to life in a realistic, and engaging way. The storyline is unique, interesting, endearing and entertaining. I look forward to reading more from this author. A must read for Time Travel fans, Romance readers, and readers of unique and originally written tales. Pick up "Once Found: The Pocket Watch Chronicles". Received for an honest review from the author. Rating: 4Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR

Flowing along beside The Midwife, this is the story about Elsie and how she adjusts to the twenty first century, of course she has help, she somehow knows Dr Gabe Sandini, and has a memory that she loves him and finding out from Gertrude the purpose of the Pocket Watch comes to the conclusion that she is there to help Gabe and Elizabeth, (when she gets back, if she gets back) to reconnect and fall in love again.Gabe can't believe that Elizabeth, the girl he fell in love with all those years ago and lost, is really here, but he does know that he doesn't want to let her go again. When two souls are meant to be together nothing can seperate them, not even time ........but all is not what it seems. I don't want to say much because I don't want to spoil it, but I just have to say I loved this story and it made me smile and the way the characters connected was spectacular. Ms Giltenan knows how to weave words that make fabulous stories that transports you to another place, and I for one will go back and read the whole Duncurra series including The Pocket Watch Chronicles, again and again.

I have just recently ventured into the Time Travel books, but this was an especially delightful one. On the Duncurra You Tube channel, Ceci Giltenan has graciously posted a FREE audio version of this book. Paul Woodson narrates using his talent for doing various voices and accents which breathes life into the characters. You really need to read or listen to "The Midwife" first, to grasp all of the amazingly intricate connections Ms. Guiltenan sprinkled throughout this series. I almost didn't read this one because it takes place in the present instead of in the wilds of Scotland which tends to be a favorite of mine. Am I ever glad that I did happen upon it on James McCreadie's Duncurra You Tube channel!!! I love that channel anyway, and the free audio books and video trips are fantastic to take advantage of. A big thank you to the Duncurra channel and Ms. Giltenan for this wonderful experience! I'd recommend this book and audio to all my friends and acquaintances so the can enjoy this fabulously written and preformed story. It's a don't miss for sure in my book!!

OkayIf you like the first two, this is a decent follow up, but I found it kind of boring, and the family tree with people affected by the pocket watch was a bit much for me. The author is a good writer, obviously very knowledgeable of the medical implications of the stories, and her cure for people knowing the language in a different time is very simple but wonderfully done. I have no major complaints, but it was not the most interesting story, and I really didn't connect to the characters like I normally do. The hero is not an alpha a**, but his foray with time threw me. I will be vague to avoid spoilers, but suffice it to say, I liked the predecessors more, but it is not a bad book, and worth checking out. It lacked a certain charm and plot devices to give it a higher rating, but that's just personal opinion. I'll certainly keep following the writer, but this was a miss for me.

This is the third book in The Pocket Watch series and I loved it just as much as the first two. The story of Elsie's time travel from 13th century Scotland to 21st century New York City was so much fun to read! Elsie's astonishment and enthusiasm for all the things we take for granted made me thankful for ordinary things like a microwave, refrigerator, plastic containers, hair dryers and most of all indoor plumbing. Gabriel is wonderful as her romantic interest, such an awesome character. These books don't have to be read in any order, however, I love how this final story in the series incorporates Maggie Mitchell from the first book. I read these over a period of about 3-4 days and am a little sad there isn't a fourth in the series. Thank you, Ceci, for writing such wonderfully engaging stories.

Fantasy, love, and a whole lot of timeI don't usually read fantasy. I don't mind a touch of supernatural, but usually, I prefer some variety of reality. That out of the way, this is a really FUN book. There were a lot of plot devices I didn't expect, which kept me reading. The characters are lovable, and, of course, end up loving each other. There are basically no villains, so there is nothing really bad. Plus, there are side stories, which I shall have to check, I know this is a series. Are some of these other love affairs in the other books. Off my fingers fly to find out.

I really loved the first two in this series, so I was very much looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed that it didn't grab my like the others. First of all, I think I much prefer the premise of someone going back in time than someone coming forward. This felt more like contemporary fiction than the historical fiction that I love. I also didn't feel as much of an emotional connection to the characters. It was an entertaining and pleasant read, but was just missing that extra something that keeps me riveted to the pages.

If you open your mind its just a brilliant read you really feel for Elsie aka Elizabeth but knowing in previous book how Elizabeth is doing makes this read even more exciting. There is a surprise towards the end that will leave you in a OMG moment but really well written.Love Gertrude im waiting for her visit hahhahahah10/10 we need Ceci Giltenan to write faster more in this series please.5/5

This is the 3rd book in the series of “The Pocket Watch Chronicles” where this time we see Elsie who has going forward in time from 1279 to the present day into the body of Dr Elizabeth Quinn who we saw in the 2nd book “The Midwife”This is the story of how Elsie finds true love in the form of Dr Gabriel Soldani who takes over her care after Elizabeth Quinn had been in a car accident. Again Gertrude is back helping with their decisions on what to do moving forward.I thoroughly enjoyed this series by Ceci Giltenan and look forward to the next book in the series.
