Wow...this book sure was hot....This is the second book in this series and we get to know more about the pack and it's history. We get to know how Devin (the alpha) and his human mate Ari are doing and how Lizzy is holding up with her two mates, Caleb and Dom.It's almost time for the claiming and with the women in heat, things are about to get really hot. Especially between Lizzy, Dom and Caleb...We also get introduced to two new MC's. Werewolf Vince, who was absent in book 1 and therefore pissing of all the other wolves, and Veronica his new mate. Vince felt her presence during the presentation that took place in book 1. He couldn't just leave her behind, so he started following her. Turns out, he wasn't the only one following her ....But no worries, because this girl knows how to kick ass and the best part...she is a vampire !!The pack has to deal with a whole bunch of stuff in this one. The previous pack is making treats against all the mates and some vampires seem to be up to no good.... I'm really curious to find out more, so I'll jump right into the next book. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the heat that Ari (and at the end Lizzy) was going through. She couldn't even concentrate for one sentence before thinking about how aroused she was. It was a bit much. I wanted to know about the threats and about what happend to Veronica in her past. I didn't need to hear about Ari's arousal every other chapter. I really liked Veronica, she is my new favorite character and I hope there will be plenty more of her in the next book !! This book has multiple MC's and pov's. It's part of a series and I wouldn't advise to read this one as a stand alone. 4 stars from meI received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.....Thank you Crystal L. Shaw.

( Parts 1-3) * We begin this "Taken" journey with Vincent who hasn't returned. He's tracking his mate. Veronica is a vampire, whose pale skin and scent are making big, werewolf, Vince crazy in lust ! She's a dominant, his "Mistress", for a reason we find out later. The vampires need blood and she's come to strike a deal with the town. We are learning more about this pack's differences, and unique dynamics. This series is fascinating. We get amazing characters, super hot sexiness, which is at times quite kinky, and an interesting, action packed flow, with violence. Ari and Alpha Devin's relationship grows, and Caleb and Dom have figured out how to help latent werewolf Lizie, and she loses her virginity. The cliffhanger is right at the "claiming ceremony", and we'll see what happens next.ENJOY !!!============(view spoiler)[ These are MY opinions ... I'm not a fan of dominant women over a male, nor the gal biting, really taking a bite, into a hard dick - and he climaxes, and I personally hated the torture scene. Very dark happenings - maybe a "disclaimer" would have prepared me for the brutality. Maybe - it's just my opinion. ) (hide spoiler)]=============================

The same apply to what I've written for the first book in the series, but here another female is introduced: Veronica - a powerful vampire. She's also been abused, but she reacts as an agressive BDSM mistress. Her pup Vince is happy to oblige.I was happy for them, but, as I said before I'm not a fan of BDSM stories so, perheps, I didn't find their relationship very endearing for that reason.I repeat: this series is not for me, but maybe others will like it.

To Obey or not to Obey? To Claim a mate or not to claim a mate? "Taken by Werewolves" is the second book in the series, and it takes up where "Offered to The Werewolves" ends. The wolves are trying to soothe their new mates and help them adjust to the life they will now be leading. Vince is on the prowl hunting his mate Veronica, a Vampire. Crystal did an awesome job with the characters and keeping them separate and working them together as need be. The author grabbed my attention from the beginning of the book and held it till the end. There is a Cliff Hanger.....Must read next book "Claimed by The Werewolves." I highly recommend this book to any one who loves shifters, vampire, witches, sex, and mayham!!!!!Ariana was taken without her consent by the werewolves. She has been chosen as the mate to the most powerful alpha, Devin, on this side of the nation. Devin knew that Ariana was his mate long ago and he couldn't believe he was given a beautiful spitfire. Yet Devin seemed to be able to strong-arm his way into her calm, hard earned life. Claiming day is here, and Devin has his work cut out for him because Ariana continues to struggle with the idea of being the mate of werewolf and the Alpha too boot. After such a hard past Ariana has never let a man dominate her, so why let Devin do it now? Lizie, the sweet yet hurting latent wolf, was really damaged in the past and with the help of her two mates, Dom and Caleb, she is finally starting to see her worth. Dom and Caleb love her so much they are showing her how perfect she is, with or without her wolf. She’s hidden her emotions and buried her desire to be seen as the strong wolf she's always wanted to be. Dom and Caleb are determined to not let her keep anything from them. Will they be able to help Lizie regain the trust of her wolf? Will Lizie ever see her wolf? Veronica is a bad-ass vampire that has thrived with control and aggression. She keeps everyone at a distance for a good reason. Vince, her werewolf mate thinks at first it is a game she is playing and that her past has nothing to do with Veronica’s behavior. Veronica has a hard time understanding why the fates gave her a mate. Now she has to give up control to let him claim her. She is worried how Vince her precious obedient pup will react when he discovers her control has been a cover for her pain. Will she go through with claiming? How will Vince handle it?No Spoilers. You will have to read to get the SCOOP!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY AAAADORED this Series. Have to add I kinda cheated myself by going backwards with this series, I read book #4; The Alphas' Captive first, so had to double back and start at the beginning.Just to put into perspective how much I LOVED this series, my FAV author of ALL TIME! released her book the day after I started in on this series. My usual M.O goes... when she (my fav author) releases a book, I don't give two F@#K's what I'm reading or how far I'm in, that book will get shelved until further notice. I have to admit (I'm not gonna lie) I did try to shelve this but then I found myself arguing with myself (yes u read that correctly... but ONLY in my head of course, cause' otherwise that would just seem a tad Kray Kray) so there I am arguing with myself and then I think, "Why the hell am I arguing with myself! You obviously don't want to put the damn book down Awhina so just keep reading the damn book". And so she did... and she LOVED every single page! This series as a whole just made me melty... the back & forward domination between Ariana and Devin at times were hilarious, then serious then back to hilarious. Devin had/has his hands full with Ariana. The scenes of course as always are HAWTTT!!! When Ariana begins to accept where she is and why she's there, her & Devin's coming together is so cool, they fit each other perfectly.Caleb and Dom and Lizie, OMG! I want to cuddle her!!! I can't say why... cause' that'll give the whole plot away but just to say.. I am rooting for you Lizie! Can't wait to see what happens with Lizie within the series. I know what "I" want to happen to her within the series and I know what "SHE" would want to happen to her within the series, I'm just hoping we "BOTH" get what we want (wink, wink).I HIGHLY recommend! I still hold out hope that someday my Wolf (I've named him Bear) will come and snatch me in the dead of the night and hold me captive in his cave (sighs). Weirder things have happened! I LOVE my Wolfies!!!

There's trouble brewing for the Shadow Falls Pack when Vince scents his mate at the offering ceremony. Not only does the pack now need to deal with the humans thinking terrible things because of the drama caused by Ari and Lizzie's on stage offering, they now have to deal with Vince and his new mate Veronica, and the entrance of their old pack as well as the authority? How much drama can one pack take. But as the drama unfolds the bond between Devin and Ari grows. Ari knows she is meant to be his mate and free to finally figure out what she wants to do with her life. The problem is she has no clue and wishes Devin would be more forthcoming with his thoughts. While Ari is trying to accept her new fate, the bond between Lizzie, Dom, and Caleb also grows and the brief return of Lizzie's wolf brings joy to her soul. As her love grows will she be able to truly heal?Veronica seems like a badass vampire but she is hiding something and when Vince finds out he vows to heal her too. This second book in the series was sexy as heck, it gave so much more insight into the characters and how they feel about things. The plot is also slowly starting to emerge and the mystery is awesome. I really appreciated knowing who was speaking and thought it was great to have the chapters in different character mind sets. I am enjoying this series and ready for the next installment.

This series centers on dominating males and includes a couple of wounded females who come across as needing to be dominated. When this type of theme is handled with enough consent, it really works for me, but when it seems too forced it just gets too squicky. (It comes across to me as "you say you don't want it but I will take control and roughly give you what I know you need", which just crosses the line to too dubiously consensual for me.)(view spoiler)[It's doubly disappointing that the dominant female who appears to be in control of her relationship may only be that way because she was raped, and the snippet of the next book indicates she really needs to be able to trust and let go and submit to her otherwise obedient male mate. I have a hard time imagining any of the male wolves needing "past abuse" as a reason for needing to be in control. (hide spoiler)]While many scenes sizzled, overall this series isn't for me. (I like my "control"-D/s a little more consensual. Also, much more two way between male and female, especially if one is going to introduce a dominant woman.)

So to be honest I think I'm addicted to this series... This book was even better than the first. I loved Veronica and Vince and the fact that we were given a new couple but she still kept up with Arianna and Lizie and their men. These stories are basically a mild shifter BDSM and I think I like the fact that it's more about them being in love and helping their partners more than it is about the control... for everyone except Caleb. I'm still on the fence about how much I like him. He gives me more of a sadist feeling then any of the others and I'm not to crazy about that.So on to the new characters, Veronica was a fantastic vampy mistress! I enjoyed reading in her POV. Vince was a great counterpart for his Vampire. He was a wonderful submissive. Unfortunately, it sounds like the roles will be reversed in the next book for them. I kind of hope not because it gave a refreshing air to the whole S&M role reversal thing. Overall this was a great book to read if you want a hot, light BDSM, shifter story.

After the offering Lizzie and Ari are adjusting to their new lives, Vince goes after his mate that wasn't offered during this offering and he doesn't understand why. Veronica isn't human so she cannot be "offered" she's a vampire! So not only are the interspecies coupling Human & Werewolves but now Vampire's and Werewolves too. Veronica wants Vince to call her "Mistress" and follow her commands he thinks it's a fun sexy game and goes along with it until he becomes aware of why she needs the control, now he is going to do everything in his power to help her heal. Dom and Caleb help Lizzie finally come to terms of what she is and Ari and Devin have a very frank conversation about their relationship.Off to read Claimed by the Werewolvesalso purchased from Amazon

I totally have a fangirl crush on Veronica, she's such a bad ass! I wanna just hang out or hunt with her. How she fought the werewolves was awesome. High five on that scene! The blade that she uses to paralyze one of the Wolf and next three it was super awesome. But I love me some bad ass, kick ass females. Of course later in the book when I found out the reason it broke my heart, yet at the same time I was glad her character was able to cope the best way she knew how. I hope Vince is capable of healing her damaged heart. I was also mushy when she realized he would grow old and she would lose him. I loved the pop ins of Ari, Lizie, Caleb, Dom, Devin, Levine, Jude. Getting even more of their story satisfied me. I love the background we got from the formation of Devin's pack. it was nice to see how they all came together. Well time to crack open the next book cause I really can't wait!

Ari and Lizie are coming to understand what the offering ceremony is really all about. Although both of them have accepted their mates, Lizie has some far deeper issues to resolve and Dom and Caleb have some interestingly erotic ways to help her find the part of her she's lost. This book focus is mainly on Vince, he knew his mate was at the ceremony but not offered up as part of it. When he discovers Veronica is not human and recognises they are mates it looks like his mating will run smoother than his packmates, untill their claiming, when he discovers Veronica has her own demons to overcome from her past and his wolfs rough claiming of her causes her nightmare to surface. With the Authority making an unwelcome and unexpected appearance and a threat from the old pack, this book moves at a steady pace keeping you interested and wanting to know how it's all going to unfold.

In book two we meet our third couple Veronica and Vince. Veronica is not a human but Vince is drawn to her all the same. And oh he in for a surprise his hot little mate is a vampire. And she is a bad-ass as well. She is truly a wonderful surprise for Vince, but she has her issues too. Things happened to her in the past that were horrible. Now she just needs to let Vince help to make her whole again. The last book is the conclusion of the issue that was a problem since book one. Veronica was sent to Devin to ask permission to open a blood bank for her kind, but as the story progresses something is going wrong with the blood there are being given. As it is against the law to drink directly from the vein.

Great Read! This is the second book in the Shifters of Shadow Falls series and I enjoyed it as much as the first book.  This book continues where the first book ends. We learn about the lives of these shifters and a possible threat to the pack. We continue to learn more about the mating between Devon and Ariana and the mating between Dom, Caleb and Lizie. In this book we also learn more about Vince and the mate he finds Veronica who is a vampire. All around a great read with enough sexy and steamy parts. Definitely want to know what continues to happen with these characters so I will be moving on the next book in the series.

Since Dom and Caleb get home with Lizzie she locks herself in the bathroom and will not come out. Lizzie, has a secret that she hasn't told anyone including her best friend Ari. She doesn't know what they want with her and she hope they don't want to beat her she might make it this time. She needs Ari to comfort her and make this bad dream go away. Dom and Caleb is not taking it well since their mate has rejected them and their touch doesn't comfort her either. Then he finds its him she don't want nothing to do with. Will he be able to get close enough for him to show her he would never hurt her?

thanks to the author for ARCs of books 1-3 in return for an honest review.my actual rating is about a 3.8 for the series overall to date. the reads are short and are NOT stand alone. they really must be read in order. plenty of steamy hot sex and lots going on between the races and within the pack but for me the story jumps around a bit too much and the main storyline is a bit disjointed and glossed over. I feel like there is so much going on that there is not enough writing to cover it all. still .. an enjoyable and very fast read

I was iffy on the first, but the blurb at the end for this book -- with a bad ass heroine vampire hooked me. Meh. Won't read any more in the series. Evidently -- according to this author -- the cure for any woman's past emotional trauma is to tie her up and torture her. For her own good of course. Personally I think this is so messed up that I seriously wonder about the people who gave this book 5 stars. I think it's sick and revolting. But to each their own.

This one will have you needing, chocolate, a mate, or a battery operated buddy! After her first one, I had to take a cold shower, this one was just as hot. Now it has some Dom/sub/punnishment stuff I had to skip, but the other stuff is H.O.T. The story around the sex, behind the sex, before the sex, oh wait, the plot, yeah the plot is intriguing enough to have me making sure the next book is downloaded before I finish the one I am reading!!

A sequel as fun as the first. This collection is different in that it isn't just one story, it is three love stories in one book. It would normally confuse someone to read all three stories in one book. However this author does an amazing job with flow, and interweaves the stories so well that it is seamless. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a different look at sifters, it's a good different. I read all the books available at once and got a good feel for the story.A different feel and outlook towards sifters and the claiming. I really enjoyed the different characters and their interactions with their mates. The sex is hawt! So be prepared for some naught dreams.

Chaotic entertainmentA lot of things are all happening at once along with the claiming coming up. The humans what to make sure the girls taken are truly mates to the wolf's. And we have one mate that happens to be a vampire. Hot action throughout in this well written part of the series.

Book 2 in the series and I enjoyed every page. They are truly a pack of misfits who have become stronger for being together. They still have emotional scars that need healing and with the love of their mates I'm sure that will happen. I need to read more, but alas I must wait for book 3 to be written. Grab your copies and enjoy the read.I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 in this series, also a hot story. With some unexpected hot action, the way Vince gives into her needs is so hot.She fights were she is standing for and bonds with the other two new mates of the pack. You can read the book as a stand alone, but it is better to read the first part also.

Glutton for punishmentI really didn't like book 1, but I figured I would give this author another chance. She does give a little info about the storyline, but all these books are cliffangers, and the sex scenes that these books are all about, aren't very good.

WowEven better then expected. Several different stories going on at once and that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The mates are helping strengthen the pack at the same time things are going to come after them.
