The Guide to Hawaiian Style Origami Reviews
there are a few good patterns in this book. the hibiscus winds up looking great if you can figure it out, since the instructions for it are somewhat convoluted. (it took a bit of tweaking for me) and the hawaiian shirt is fun, though you do wind up cutting once, very briefly (*gasp* blasphemy!). i haven't yet folded this book's version of an orchid, it doesn't look like your usual orchid, and there are better diagrams for orchids in other books. what i consider worth the price of admission:a good foundational chapter on paper selection, instructions on how to make layered sheets, and instruction on wet folding. while not exhaustive, i still find this chapter a very useful reference. there are color photos of every model in the book, and they take the time to describe what kinds of paper (and layered paper) they used for each model, so you can get an idea of what the different types look like.
