Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This was such a refreshing book. This book stands out between all the insta-love, erotica and hot-steamy sexscenes between people who know each other 2 days. It's so nice to read a book where there is actual LOVE before there is sex. This is a book where the main character questions herself. Should she love this person? Should she give her heart away? Next to the growing romance, you have the nowadays "taboo" of an older woman with a younger man, that is not accepted everywhere.A longer review can be found at Bite Into booksA romance novel with a little sprinkle of the spiritual world. It was pleasant to read a book where getting to know a person was part of the process before actually loving someone and sharing your bed with them. There are diverse characters in this book, and this makes the conversations refreshing. The fact that Annah is a lot older than the man she falls in love with, was a different take on love for me. I got to understand this point of view a lot better. I hope to read something about this lovely woman, Annah, again!

I started this book at 6 a.m. and finished that evening!! It kept my interest throughout. I had to see how it would end. I loved that Annah found true love at her age, not that she's old, with a younger man and it worked out!! Kudos to Tinthia for writing this. I loved it and will want to read more on this adventure with the next book she writes!!

What an amazing debut for this wonderful new author! ... Ms. Clemant has hit it out of the park! ... I was captivated from the very beginning right through the whole novel, and well beyond those 2 sad little words, THE END :o lol ... I wanted more & I didn't want it to end, or to leave my new friends from within these masterfully crafted pages where I want to go live :D ... I loved the fresh storyline, well defined characters- even the secondary ones, filled with constant witty dialogue, especially between the H/h :) ... The villains were well defined by their level of evilness and the suspense kept me glued to my seat & turning pages, when I should have been doing other mundane things in my real world :o lol ... Lovingly woven in, is great inspiration & positive words for rising above adversity... This was definitely a fun, exciting, emotional roller-coaster ride for me! ... It had me feeling light & happy at times with Annah & Eric's blossoming relationship, then other times I was frustrated with their misunderstandings :o lol ... Then I was kept on the edge of my seat at times, my stomach tied in knots with the suspense- that's how well this author's attention to detail & descriptions are! ...Even though I was fortunate to receive an e-copy in exchange for an honest review, I sincerely do recommend this to all adult fans of contemporary fiction, especially those who love women's fiction, romance with a touch of suspense and the right amount of sexy heat, fantasy and even mysteries ;) ... Oh & 'Baby Boomers' (like myself) will celebrate finally being acknowledged, and that age is just a number & that it's never too late to find true love, or your soul mate :D ... I cannot wait for more from this talented author! :D Make sure to get yours now, or at least add to your TBR list!

Not every day you read a romance novel with a 55 year old woman as the heroine! The Summer of Annah: A Midsummer's Wish by Tinthia Clemant is a unique story with an array of emotions perfectly portrayed by scarred, real-as-life characters who you either grow to love or hate. Fast-paced, well-written and realistic, this story draws you in from page one and it's such an entertaining story I can’t wait to read Ms. Clemant’s next because she is so good at what she does!Recommended4.5 Stars

Love & LaughI don't read romance, ever. I was intrigued by the love spell at the beginning, and the book held me through to the end. What I love most was how real the characters and situations were. I could connect with Annah on so many levels. I enjoyed that she worked in a new age store with a psychic boss. The supporting characters were fun. I laughed throughout the book. I would recommend this book to everyone, and even rethink my initial reaction to romance novels.

The characters appear very realistic, in particular Annah-Belle. She stands out from other romance heroines, not just because of her age but also because of her interesting personality quirks, and her insecurities anyone can relate to.Read full review in the 2016 October issue of InD'tale Magazine.

I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. There's a great deal here to like - not least of which is the fact that it's the love story of a middle-aged divorcee. For me, there's a distinct shortage of romances that feature women the wrong side of twenty-five, and there's an unpleasant implication, in general terms, that stories featuring women of a certain age just aren't worth telling. But that's clearly not a fact, of course! All those literary young women who're swept off their feet and end a novel married and a mother don't suddenly stop living, breathing and experiencing both the ups and downs of life. Their stories aren't over. And yet, we're led to believe they are. We're subconsciously told that once a woman has achieved marriage and motherhood she's complete; she's served her purpose and she should slip away quietly into invisibility. But I digress!! The point is, I greatly admire Ms. Clemant for making this woman visible. And she's a great, interesting enjoyable character. Full of insecurities that, I think, we can all relate to. She attempts to be calm, centred and in control, yet deep down knows she isn't - again, I think most of us can relate to that. And, indeed, Annah isn't the only vibrant and visible character in the novel. Her friends Barney and Pam are wonderful, with vastly different personalities and vivid voices. I enjoyed Pam, in particular, even though she's a cynic with precious little tact! Meanwhile, Eric leaps right off the page the moment he's introduced and is a difficult man not to develop a soft spot for. Even the more minor characters, like Helen, who in some ways is hideous, managed to stir my sympathy and is beautifully drawn. The story's plot was fairly predictable, which isn't a criticism per se, except I personally prefer a bit of mystery in my reads. The frisson between Eric and Annah was present very suddenly and, therefore, didn't feel entirely realistic. But again, that's not necessarily a bad thing. The nature of the book does lend itself to the fanciful. The only thing that stretched things a little too far for me was Stephen's reappearance in Annah's life, which could be seen coming, and his staying with Barney, which seemed forced to serve the storyline. But that's not a huge crime. The writing itself didn't always hold me captive, though. Don't get me wrong, there are some lovely moments, and beautiful phrases. But I didn't find it absorbing all the way through. It was perhaps a smidge lengthy in parts, some of the sentences didn't quite read smoothly, and the odd bit of dialogue seemed a touch unnatural to my 'ears'. And although I really like all the instances of Annah's internal monologue (it's incredibly funny for the most part), it struck as jarring in the confines of a third person narrative - but that may just be me.Overall, lovely premise, great characters and, in places, a very funny and enjoyable read. Few very minor typos, but generally the editing was good. It just didn't bowl me over quite as much as I'd hoped it would. But I think, as a good old summer read, this might hit the spot quite nicely.

This book is sooo good. So good I actually read it twice because I could. I loved the quirkiness of the main character Annah. I found I could identify really well with her and could feel her anxiety of falling in love with a much younger man. Annah is a white witch having been drawn to the pagen lifestyle after her divorce. So when she literally falls in Eric’s arms, then it must be the goddess’s will and who was she to argue. I loved how clumsy Annah became around Eric, the woman is lucky to have not killed herself. Eric is her "Thor". Her favourite God.As unwanted attention from an ex- partner threatens her life, Eric becomes her hero god in more ways than one. The story moves along at a nice pace and there are lots of twists and turns that stop this book being just another soppy romance. It is also the first part of a series. I would love to read the next instalment and feel that this will be one of those series everyone will have on their To Be Read list. This has to be 5 stars. This has twists, turns, suspense and a surprise, which you suspect but are not sure about until right at the end. Great book, I loved it!!!!

3 1/2 STARS!I enjoyed the main plot of the older woman meeting the man of her dreams in a younger man in this book quite a bit, but for me, there was too much "busyness" to the story. I could have stood for there to be fewer friend issues, co-workers, distractions, etc. and more of them actually enjoying their romance together. It was still an enjoyable read though. When practicing Wiccan Annah-Belle Henderson cast a spell for love, she didn't expect it to be a younger man crossing her path that caused an instant zing of attraction and revelation that he was the one. She tried to fight the attraction because she was really hung up about the age, but Eric Ashworth wasn't going to let her push him away so easily.Nephew to one of Annah's best friends, Eric enjoys the attraction he feels for Annah and is willing to jump in head first with her. When family issues and a past evil resurrects to attempt to keep them apart, they have to decide whether it's worth fighting for each other or not.

The Summer of Annah: A Midsummer's Wish by Tinthia ClemantFirst book I have read for this author but I for sure not disappointed. When Annah-Belle Henderson cast the spell for love she never thought it would be a younger man. A young nephew of her best friend. Eric Ashworth had quite the effect on Anna and it caused her so many emotions. The biggest is that he is twenty years younger than she is and can she take that gamble or should she reject him. A man from Anna’s past threatens to destroy everything and tried even to kill her. She makes a decision that had friends judging her, betraying her, and being disloyal. He ex-husband tried to turn their son totally against her, and then she has to survive the attempt on her life. But Eric is this man that would rival the Norse God Thor, and a body to match. She at least had to try!I cannot wait to see what Book #2 offers when it come out. Series call The Seasons of Annah.

This is a great book. It's the first time I have read a story about an older woman and a younger man. I was captivated all the way through. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a wonderful read.Annah is a 55 year old woman who is an earth witch. She has a son named Sam, and a dog named Lexy. Along with her fellow characters, their funny, sarcastic, and often dramatic moods really bring a wonderful range of emotions to every scene. The humour between friends flowed really well.Just when you think things are going great, a whole lot of new drama arises.Eric Ashworth aka Thor comes to stay with his uncle. Upon meeting Annah he finds himself drawn to her as she is to him. Annah may think it's wrong but Eric doesn't have a problem. With guidance from those around her, it doesn't take long before Annah and Eric find what they are looking for. Will they be in it for the long haul or will they be ripped apart?Reviewed by RebeccaLLEP Review Team

If you are looking for a wonderful book to pass your time this is the one to read. Ms. Clement has written a true Gem and its only her first book, after reading this you will be anxiously awaiting more. Every possible element is in this book to keep you enthralled. Romance, mystery, magic, suspense and fantasy, but most important it is a story of hope for Annah. Annah is hurting and so she tries a little magic never realizing it will work but desperate she decides she has nothing to lose by casting a spell to find love. She finds Eric who is years younger than her but she soon realizes age is only a number and should not interfere with happiness. There are other characters that are truly evil which gives that story some suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat but all in all an amazing story of hope, that I truly hated to have end. Loved Annah and Eric and you will too. This is an author to put at the top of your list. Wonderful wonderful story.

The Summer of Annah, A Midsummers Wish by Tinthia Clement is a delightful contemporary romance. With witty banter among friends, the romance between Annah and Eric putting butterflies in my tummy and the suspense of when the dark force was to arrive, I just couldn't put it down. Love really had no limits when it came to Annah's story. The author did a tremendous job in creating this story. From the viewpoint of Annah, a beautiful 55 year old woman, she asks the goddess to finally send her true love. Little did she know, it would come in the form of a 34 year old that looked like the Norse God Thor. Can Annah get over the fear of what others will think? I loved the support cast of characters, even Barney. I'm still not sure I forgive him for his part in all of Annah's troubles though. I recommend this book to all the romantics out there. Maybe true love is real...

I always love when we get to look behind the curtain and see what's on the other side.I was completely caught up in this romance. I think we got to see a lot more personality and true compassion than is normally in this type of romance.Tinthia Clemant is amazing at Contemporary romance writing. The time period is perfect. The fantasy aspect of everything that goes on in this story is wonderful. This is a very sweet love story with several twists and turns, and ups and downs. Especially in events that we've already seen from another perspective and we are now seeing again in a completely different light.Overall, I absolutely loved this story. This is a great read for all of you Contemporary Romance fans!

I received a free copy for an honest review. Wow, what an amazing story. Annah is such an amazing character. I had a hard time remembering she was older because she just seemed so young. And Eric I loved his older soul. He was an amazing guy. After her two failed relationships who were super worthless Annah deserves someone who will treat her like a queen. She has some pretty crazy friends and lots going on but she manages it all very well! I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and family. I can't wait to see what Tinthia writes next!

Meet Annah-Belle, a 55 yr old who casts a spell for love. What she didn't count on was her love to show up in her best friends youngest nephew. Eric has an amazing body and is very charming. They both have a lot of emotions and Annah-Belle is unsure whether to act on them because he is 20 yrs younger than she is. Will Annah-Belle make the right decision? Will she and Eric find true love? This is a definite must read and would recommend to everyone.

"The Summer of Annah: A Midsummer's wish (Contemporary Women's fiction Book 1 in the Seasons of Annah series" by Tinthia Clement is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. It's more than a classic older woman and younger man book. Lots of depth to the characters and a touch of 'magic.' Great romance story between Wiccan Annah-Belle Henderson and Eric Ashworth.
