How Full Is Your Bucket? Anniversary Edition Reviews
A self-help book is pretty formulaic. Identify a common character flaw people have, like complaining too much, outline how it is detrimental, then reveal a solution. I have a stack of these books and thought to myself, just read them, they can’t be that long. Well, not only was this book not a full sized book, more like a TV guide, but narrower, but the book barely had 80 pages of content. There were a couple stories to start off, to get the reader engaged, and then you were done. It took me a couple hours to read, if that. And I was taking notes. If you don’t want to read the lengthy 88-page tome, the basics are: be positive. That’s it. I am still astounded I wasted both time and money buying this book. And clearly I learned nothing about being positive. The one story that did stick out to me frustrated me more than anything. The author basically humble brags about how everyone in his life is always telling him how great he is and how he’s perfect or something. His argument is that instead of creating unreal expectations, this enabled him to overcome cancer. Uh, I’m not sure how that logic tracks, but good for him to overcome an ailment like that, but to claim it was positivity is a reach I’m not sure I can go along with.
Demeli Bele. Pozitiv olaq. Cox beyendim Tom Rath, Donald O. Clifton ellerine saglik, emeyine saygi.
