Like the first one and even some littlte improvements. The cases seem more organize and have better explanations. Maybe it should deserved a 4,5/5 not a 5 styrats yet, but almost, maybe the third volume will achieve it! But it's definetly a series worth looking at!

For those of you who are fans of Mr. Jack Rosewood we should have anticipated a book which would contain another smorgasbord of a dozen true crime murders. He didn’t disappoint his readers the first and he has certainly not disappointed any of them here.Once again, in this outing of his exposés Mr. Rosewood presents his fans and those reading him for the first time a smorgasbord/an anthology of a dozen true crime murders, murders which have flown under the radar of the news media but we were just as heinous in what had taken place, simply because they were basically singular events and not a series of them perpetrated by the same individuals. Murders, which had gone cold but eventually solved years later due to the vast improvements of investigative tools used by detectives, much in the same manner we hear about such cases being resolved today. Murders, which might could have even baffled Charlie Chan or Sherlock Holmes, with their strange coincidences or singularities. For informing his readers in his usual style about these “forgotten” true murder cases I’m giving Mr. Rosewood 5 STARS.

Jack Rosewood has done a fairly good job with all three books in series, True Crime Stories, Vol. 1, 2 and 3. Since they are all so similar, I am rolling a review of all three into this review. Mr. Rosewood’s writing is clear and the facts are well presented, except I wish he had gone into a bit more detail sometimes, as he jumps for the crime or evidence to the outcome rather abruptly and quickly. Some of the stories are about crimes that are solved. Some stories concern crimes, or probable crimes, that have gone into the cold case file. Some are about what might even be a miscarriage of justice, as his presentation of facts leaves the reader to wonder who or how a conviction ever occurred. The stories span a large amount of time. These are stories of interest, but stories which have not received enough coverage or exposure in the news or anywhere, for that matter. I enjoyed reading them, though I often wanted more details. However, Mr. Rosewood probably did not want to get caught up in minutia about with cases, which could easily happen, so kept things to a bare minimum. I really liked the format of the stories, as I could pick up the book, read a bit, and put it down when necessary, resuming my reading as time and circumstances permitted. I am not sure I would have enjoyed them as much if I had raced through the books, as some of the stories were not that easy to take. Overall, I enjoyed reading them. I think anyone looking for a good look at crime because of interest or career will find these three books well worth the time and effort. I highly recommend them, if you fit this type of reader mold. I received these from Library Thing to read and review.

I was given this audiobook for an honest review. What a great crime biopic book; I could not stop listening. Mr. Rosewood discussed 12 shocking true crime murder cases from all over the world and from different decades. He starts each story by giving a background on the victim, or victims, to include the actual murder scene- the only exception is the living victim who was labeled the “Angel of Death”. He then discusses leads, suspects and in some cases highlights of the trials. He does an excellent job of delivering the facts of each case. It is depressing that so many of the cases he covered still remain unsolved. But, as in “Snatched from the Snow”, justice can be found for the victims even years later. I truly enjoy this True Crime Book. I am looking forward to reading/listening to more books by Mr. Rosewood.

Intriguing and fascinating, a good quick read. This was intriguing and fascinating. Written very simply, it was a good quick read. Fairly brief, yet plenty of details. Through the many twists and turns, suspects seem certain and then the case collapses, then another perpetrator is in the frame, and so it goes on. Just the sort of read I like to get my teeth into-I love watching TV documentaries focusing on true crime cases, solved and unsolved so this is a great, easy read. It's not too exhaustive with detail so it's something you can pick up for a few short bursts in between doing other things and you don't lose the thread. Great for dipping in. Includes cases from years ago and more recently too. This book was very good and very interesting. I'll definitely be reading more of this author's true crime books-in fact I've stocked up and bought a few more already.

More interesting cases for true crime fansThis volume contains twelve true crime cases as well as "Killing Cousins" and "The Making of a Serial Killer."The case studies are all interesting and contain some details I was not aware of."Killing Cousins" is the story of the truly evil cousins David Alan Gore and Fred Waterfield of Vero Beach, Florida, who raped and murdered girls and women for the entertainment it provided them.If I had proofread this book, I would have made 36 corrections.

And I love crime anthologies because part of me always wanted to be a detective, I love getting the facts and trying to decide myself who did it! This book has 12 crime stories ranging across from 1912 to the last decade. Especially older crimes interest me.

I have received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is a detailed account of some of the most horrific murders ever committed. The stories are presented in a well-ordered and easy-to-read manner with each new aspect described in a separate paragraph. Some stories are about unsolved crimes which is a bit frustrating for the reader. However, the author simply aims at presenting those cases and leaving it to the reader to form an opinion about them. And one cannot but feel strongly about the victims and their families.

Shocking true crimes, Excellent narration and Well-detailed stories. This book has illustrated 12 of the most shocking and gruesome crime stories. It breaks my heart to know that these crimes actually happened and that a person can be so evil as to rape their own child and held them captive for 24 years. The narration was excellent and the stories were well-detailed. I would definitely listen to this book again. I would recommend to anyone interested in crime stories. This is the best one I have listened to so far.

Makes me think ...This book made me take another view on the death penalty. I've always believed that by carrying out the death penalty, we're playing God. God should be the only judge of who dies. However, I was so moved by the effects of these crimes on the victim's families, that I'm pretty sure both of these men deserved the death penalty. If a family member is so cruelly ripped away from you, how would you feel? To know the pain these men inflicted on these women had been done to someone you love, what would you feel?

"Best Crime True Stories"This anthology contains 12 cases of heinous crimes and the investigation facts. Some cases are solved while some are not and still remain mysterious. These crimes come from all over the world and also some as far back into many decades. These accounts are well written and described to provide a fast, intriguing read. Crimes never end ... so, the stories will continue.

Less than 2 and a half hours to describe 12 cases doesn't allow for much detail. These are really just summaries -- interesting, but quite a few questions still remain about some of these cases. Herschel J. Grangent Jr. performs just adequately. I definitely heard at least one mispronunciation. But not much is expected from a narrator reading true crime. NOTE: I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for this unbiased review.

The audio book version of True Crime Stories Vol. 2 was as interesting as the first volume which I also listened to. Twelve cases, more interesting to me than volume 1, are very well narrated so it's easy to follow. This is a great audio version to use for short transportation hops when you don't want to listen to something that lasts hours on the same topic. I received an audible copy from the author for review.

Not completeI could not read this book because it was incomplete. It skipped multiple pages at a time...from 7-10 pages through the entire book! I don't know if there are actual pages gone or if my Kindle was faulty when downloading it. Either way it is unreadable. Had the option been available I would have given it a zero star rating.

Fascinating ReadThis latest book from Jack Rosewood is a fascinating anthology of murder. Some case where solved years later, some not at all. It kept me interested throughout. No conclusions are offered. That's left up to the reader.I'm sure you'll enjoy this book.
