Now that is a zombie book. Great story following the characters we have all loved from the start.Humanity is on the brink from a nut job want to be president (sounds familiar), will Luke and the crewsave the day.I would recommend you buy all the books and read back to back for a horrific zomfest. Can't wait for the next one.

This is no longer a traditional zombie series. Those of you who want zombie action scenes -- there's still some of that. But, Vohs has moved this story well past the point of simple entertainment, which I would suspect is all he ever initially set out to do with the first couple installments. This isn't a zombie story where you're going to be on the edge of your seat wondering who is going to live or die. Our heroes have learned how to fight back, and they are no more afraid of the Hunters than they are of lions, tigers, and bears (oh my). This is a zombie story, however, that's going to make you think about when it is worth living and when it is worth dying. The characters in this story have never been my favorites, but they have continued to develop, and their personalities are more defined than ever before. For those who are irked by Jack's apparent perfection, Jack makes only a few appearances, and the teens in the story (Luke, Gracey, Maddie, & Zach) really take the lead. There is one new main character that has somewhat stolen my heart, though. I sympathize and identify with Will more than anyone else. He shows raw emotion when the main characters have kept it together just too well. The conflict and battles are, per usual, well-coordinated and tame enough that even my squeamish stomach had no trouble reading the fighting scenes. The landscapes and travel routes appear to be exactly on target. If one isn't too engrossed in the reading, you could probably follow along on google maps. You might also get a little quirky military history lesson if you pay attention.Basically, this is the best installment yet!

This is me... Blinking. It takes authors so dang long to write the Next books in line is why I gave this 4 stars... That and I feel like it's kinda missing or losing so,etching in all the add ones and separate stories with zero references to Canadian survivors or Terry who was with Zach in final battle.. And also doesn't lead in.....

Sad to see this series end.I rate this series a solid five! The books were very well written with excellent character development, solid story line and a dynamic that pulled one through each battle as though being there. Best dystopian I've read and I read a "LOT". Suggest more in the series. Please? Rate a VERY solid 5 stars.
