And now he’s enlisted the help of his stuffy (yet insanely good-looking) tour manager to keep me celibate… Someone get me off this bus!” Meet Stacey Rush. Stacey isn’t an easy person to love. She’s brash, has no filter between her brain and her mouth, and she has some serious issues with men. But not everything is as it appears to be with this actress, and once you get to know her, it’s impossible not to fall for her. When Stacey gets dragged along on tour with her big brother, Sean, all she really wants to do is relax and have a good time. But instead, she’s prevented from having her kind of fun by Jack Kliner. As far as Stacey is concerned, Jack is gorgeous beyond belief, but he is also a boring stiff. In the process of Jack foiling Stacey’s attempts to hook up with various rockers and roadies, she finds herself befriending the surprisingly laid-back tour manager. Unfortunately, Stacey is drawn to Jack in more ways than are appropriate between friends. But Jack is not her type – not at all. And she can’t have him for keeps. Or can she? The fourth book in the Love on Tour series explores the stresses of a hurtful past, a loving and suffocating family, and the growing pains of finally discovering one’s true nature, not to mention the ups and downs of stumbling into unexpected love. Meanwhile, we catch up with the beloved members of the Rush-Tolk gang, including the sweet and loyal Mike, who finally gets his man. Disclaimers: While capable of being read as a stand alone, this book is best read after books 1, 2, and 3 in the series. This novel deals with issues of sexual assault, but does not contain descriptions of violent acts. ...

Stacey Rushton lives an overprotected life. As a teenager, Stacey had been sexually assaulted - a horrific event which led to her parents and brothers forming a defensive wall around her, keeping all men and possible threats out of her life. As an actress, Stacey has been able to keep some focus on her own working life as her brothers, Sean and Sam, continue with their own music careers. At thirty years of age, Stacey decides she wants some freedom to explore sexual relationships, but when her older brother road-blocks her every sideways glance at a guy, going so far as to have Sean’s new tour manager, Jack, assigned as her watchdog, she decides that she has had enough. Everybody around her is in love, married and raising babies, while Stacey’s protective detail is still tighter than that surrounding the crown jewels. Surely she is entitled to her own life by now, but every time an opportunity to approach a possible sexual conquest arrives, Jack steps between Stacey and her would-be make-out session like a total killjoy. If only Sean’s stuffed-shirt of a tour manager would mind his own business and stop treating Stacey like a spoiled little Princess. Stacey soon realizes all too late: Be careful what you wish for.Kay Harris has shed some welcome new light on the Chrome-Bantham gang, this time from Sean’s younger sister, Stacey, while bringing along all of the favorites from previous books and adding some new ones to the mix. It was interesting to see how this book progressed from start to finish, while dealing with the difficult and sensitive topic of rape, and I saw a lot of myself in this strong woman who had survived sexual assault and had eventually healed and found herself again, yet was constantly smothered by those who continued to see her as broken. Love and romance is difficult to pursue when others surround you with a protective barrier which almost seems unbreakable. At one stage, I felt my own eyes burn with angry tears when Stacey’s brother’s fans assumed she was her brother’s nanny and called her a whore, simply for wanting to take her nephew outside in the stroller. The Man You Need not only shows how extremely judgmental people can be, including those who claim to love you the most, but also how cruel strangers can be in their own deluded assumptions when they truly know nothing about you. Although a tough emotional read in some places, I very much enjoyed The Man You Need and recommend it to all those who enjoy learning about the darker side of the music industry, in a book which is sprinkled with just the right dose of dry wit and humor, encapsulating a story which leaves you begging for more.- Rosie Malezer for Readers’ Favorite

I read this book through Kindle Unlimited. This is book 4 in the series. Stacy is Seans sister and Babys sister in law from book one. Great thing about this series is that you get to catch up with all the characters through each book. This review may contain mile spoilers.Stacy 31 is in Malibu spending time with her brother when she decides to go on tour with him and Hank. Due to a traumatic event when she was 16 she has problems with relationships and always makes really bad choices in men. Jack 31 is the new tour manager while Sam stays home with Lisa and their twins. Sean has asked Jack to help keep Stacy from making poor decisions and keep her away from all the rockers. After shutting down all her hookups they end up hooking up and falling in love with each other. She freaks out when the tour ends and goes back to "old" Stacy and sabotages their future. He walks away and they don't see each other for 4 months. Bell has her son the night they see each other for the first time and they eventually work things out. The book ends his proposal.

I've enjoyed this series and hope the author manages to make the remaining single sibling go on tour! Stacy was and interesting heroine. I wish the author had delved more into what makes her be the way she is.

Stacey and Jack's story is sweet and simple. It isn't full of drama and fights like some of the others, though it might seem that way to some. I'm glad they worked it out in the end and love how perfect they are together!

Excellent!!What a wonderful book to ending the series. Sigh. Of course she could write one about Brad, the nerdy brother. Hint hint. I loved Jack. He was really great. He was patient and long suffering with Stacey. Stacy had to let go of her past fears and learn to be her self. She was able to become that with Jack. This was a great was a great story. I would definitely recommend this book!

My favorite rock band.I have been eagerly anticipating/hoping for this book since I finished book three. It did not disappoint. My only change would be that I was wanting a book just for Mike I look forward to hearing more from these characters, and learning who Brad and Alonso end up with.

HEAThank goodness. The perils of love. Enjoyed the book....not as much as the others but it provided closure to all. Sometimes you have to go through trials and tribulations to find that happy ending.
