Dangerous Haven Reviews
First read by this author, there are some good points, but there are many, many gaps. There are so many gaps that you feel as if you are missing things in the story. The basic story line has potential. The first 3/4s of the book is where the gaps are paramount. The last quarter of the book things begin to look up.
I stopped reading this right after the first almost-sex scene. Brand nearly raped the woman; then, when he realizes her resistance is because she's still not over her dead husband, gets angry at her. I refuse to read about "heroes" who have problems respecting women, especially when their respect issues aren't set up as the major problem the couple must overcome.
Started out on a stupid premise and got worse. How can anyone, especially a female author, write such a pathetic female lead. It's rare that I don't finish a book and this was no exception but I was annoyed with myself the entire time I wasted reading it.
Help me understand why people gave this book more than one star!!!
An audio book, well read. Just a light love story with the usual bits of sex scenes. An entertaining story line.
