Peter and the Rising Angels Reviews
I knew when I read the end of the previous book that this was going to be different and it was, but I didn't realize just how different it would be. I've enjoyed the whole series but some of the previous books were too predictable. This book was full of surprises from start to finish. I didn't think there were any big unanswered questions at the end but it has been a while since I read the rest of the series and I only reread the last chapter and epilogue of the previous book.
Too big too fast?I have loved this series from the beginning, the characters, the stories, the smidge of young love, but it just seemed to escalate into this huge war across the universe almost instantly. Maybe it's me and I missed an awful lot but going from fighting some bad guys to having to lay the smackdown on Hell and Peter and his father at the end. WTF? It leaves me wondering if I missed some back story or I just chose to forget what happened in the previous books in regards to this. It seems like so much back story about Peters history was just left out and I felt short changed about the ending. How powerful was Sky Lord? Why was he kicked out? Why does his father hate him? Why didn't he get his powers back? Again, if I am the idiot who forgot all this, I am truly sorry but if the hundreds of different series I've read have never left me feeling this way, why does this one?
