Oleyna Peyton is a pirate captain. After her ship goes down she is forced to hide on a bride ship . After arriving in Qurilixens she becomes the bride of Prince Yusef. Oleyna only planned to play along until she could safley escape. She did not plan on falling in love. Due to her horrible childhood she does not rely on anybody but herself and does not trust men. She fights her feeling for Yusef and gets into quite of bit of trouble. Another wonderful love story with alot of sexual tension.

What is this obsession with virgins in modern romance? I don't get it. We are talking here about a female hero who is a pirate – a pirate captain to be more precise. She inflicts great pain and injury to herself because some odd pirate code demands it, and to show us how brave she is. And then – I just don’t want to start to explain the immorality and stupidity to have sex with someone in a coma, because that is the situation for her first intercourse – she runs away (literally!!!) because loosing her virginity hurts so very much. And why do the heroines have to be such douchebags. In an effort to arouse compassion with the female character the author created a cruel past for her. Because of that she is now presented with the loveable character of a sociopath. This Olena is not capable of the tiniest bit of compassion or empathy for anyone except for herself. Unfortunately the heroines in the two previous books were very annoying too – the only thing that makes these books a bit enjoyable are the male heroes. They are really great guys – each one of them so far - but devastated by their poor choice for a partner. Guys – throw away your crystals an start searching for a wife – you will have much more luck and find a woman who will value what you can give them. Two stars for the male charcters and the nice world of the draigs.

Olena Leyton is a pirate captain. She is forced to hide out on a Galaxy Brides ship on its way to the planet Qurilixen with brides for their Breeding Festival. During the festival she is chosen by Yuesf of Draig to be his bride. Olena had no plans to stay with whomever chose her as a bride. She just wants to wait until it is safe and leave the planet to find her crew and get back to her pirating.I really loved this installment to the series. The first two books had more scenes that overlapped but I really enjoyed getting a good look at Olena and Yuesf and seeing their relationship blossom. Olena is funny with her insults to the royal family, her dislike of the dresses that are normal attire for woman, and constant mishaps that require continual doctor visits. Yuesf is one of the four princes but he is afraid to tell Olena that since he knows she does not like most royalty. He is constantly unsure of her thoughts and feelings since she makes sure to keep him in the dark because she doesn’t want to end up in his power or under his control in any way. I liked how this book followed the same general time frame as the previous books but we got to see a whole different sequence of events but ended up in the same place. I am really loving this series and I can’t wait to start the next one The Warrior Prince.

Review forthcoming on http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-live...I received a copy of Dark Prince, book 3 of Dragon Lords, in exchange for my review.Space Pirate Olena has crashed and needs to get away from the bounty hunters following her. Choosing the Galaxy Brides ship to get away, she plans on marrying someone and laying low for a while, before finding her crew and her ship. Yusef knows as soon as he sees Olena that she needs to be his, and that she’ll be a handful to deal with. But Yusef likes to play with fire, and the firey red-head counts as that…Link to GoodreadsLink to AmazonI love this series. This is the third book in the series, though the first four all happen in tandem, so it is possible to read them out of order. However, I think that each book adds something to the overall story and that they are best appreciated in order (even if that means I’m still in the dark about Pia! But then again she’s next!)I also loved Olena and Yusef together, ultimately the pair of them were both playful characters, and the banter often bounced between them easily and created several particularly funny moments. Though there was also a lot of passion between them, and it was believable that that banter turned into more physical actions.Interestingly, I also thought that Olena was quicker to realise that she truly loved and cared for Yusef than Nadja and Rigan were about their husbands in the previous books, though she also didn’t like the fact that she did. In fact both of them cared a lot and the bond between them seemed to form early on, letting them know when the other was in trouble. There were a few moments where I found myself worried about what was going to happen, despite the fact that I knew what was going to happen because of the previous books. That sounds really silly, but I just felt swept up in Olena and Yusef and didn’t think!Dark Prince also answered a lot of questions, like what chastisement was (which was nowhere near as bad as I expected) and why exactly Olena decided to take a knife to the part of Yusef where a knife should never be. (Though it’s still left me with questions about Pia!!)This also provided me with a rare case of not being annoyed by a virgin. Mainly because Olena never worked the ‘oh little innocent me’ routine, even when she could have done. It also led to poor Yusef really messing up, and I couldn’t help feeling a bit sorry for him (under the circumstances I doubt he would have been thinking properly!)I think Dragon Lords is just getting better and better, and I’m definitely intrigued and excited to find out what is coming next!Dark Prince counts towards Winter COYER

I read this book for the "Wrath's Challenge", for my J.R. Group and chose it randomly.Thought about giving myself the chance to into a futuristic world where we traveled to other planets, and there would be a number of infinite places to travel through the universe.I have to tell you that I'm not a big fan of sci-fi but if we don't give ourselfs the chance, we will never know if we like it or not.Moving on, the title sugested to me some kind of dragon shifter, a warrior, and so again, moving on, we meet Yusef of Draig, one of the four princes of the planet Qurilixen, where they have the shortest courtship between man and woman. On the sole night of the year, it is held the Breeding Festival, a ritual to choose a wife among the women that come through the "Galaxy Brides Corporation".After being chased by the authorities and attacked by bounty hunters, Olena Leyton, one of the best space pirates in history, see's her chance to flea and lay low for a while, embarquing on the spaceship and becoming a bride for men in barbarian planets in need of women. What she doesn't expect is for this barbarian to a very sexy and handsome Dragon shifter, that claims her from the begining and brakes through all of her barriers.I've read some of the reviews at Goodreads and through out the net and I agree when they say that the story is a very "thin" and simple one.But what I really have to point out is that the author brought out the best in the main characters and allied their personal characteristics to the intense felings to one another, making the best of this rather limited story.Olena is a bit tough and sissy one for my taste, but taking on what she went through in the past, I guess we will have to understand it.About the infatuation and the sex scenes, I think that they were well written, with a begining, middle and end, balancing wisely with the perspective that Yusef acomplishes to bare Olena's soul and makes her accept the gift of giving for "no one had ever treated her like she was delicate, like she was a real woman".For all that I've stated above, I was not disappointed and had a good time reading this one.If you go for hot, sexy scenes, this one will keep you coming back for more.

UNLIKABLE HEROINE!!Dragon Lords series is going downhill for me. I read bks 1 & 2 gave them 3 stars. I didn't really enjoy or like the heroines of the first two books, but I really hated Olena Leyton heroin of bk3 Dark Prince. She is annoying, foolish and full of mischief making. She is a space private and her ship gets blown up and her crew is scattered running to avoid being imprisoned or worst. Olena has only one escape and that is to sign on with Galaxy Brides. Once there on Qurilixian she is presented at the Breeding Festival were the Driags pick there wives, Prince Yusef's crystal, that he has worn from birth lights up and guides him toward Olena. After the that the book is almost identical to bks 1 & 2 . The only difference is this is Prince Yusef and Olena points of view. The story is repetitive, a bit boring, except for the times you want to ring Olena's stupid neck. I Will Not Continue with this series. I don't like the way the author writes her heroines. I did like the Sci/Fi parts of the books and the Qurilixian culture and people were interesting.

I loved this story the first time I read it and the new expanded anniversary version just took my breath away. It was fabulous to revisit Olena and Yusef and remind myself just how loving these dragon shifters are.Olena is a space pirate running for her life and her choice is to hide out amongst the infamous Galaxy Brides. She fully intends to get a husband but has no intention of getting a Draig Prince. So imagine the conundrum of a fierce pirate hiding out with the sexiest male she's ever met. Oh yes a fast paced reveal but more importantly secrets will be shockingly exposed as this couple learn each others secrets.O what can I say? I so enjoyed this story previously but this expanded version just adds to the fun. Sexy, romantic and totally amazing, I love the dragon Lord's and happily devour every bookI was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review

The 3rd prince has found his great love but she cannot take being on this planet under his authority. She is used to being care free and in charge through the galaxies as a pirate. Many hot, sexy scenes that will keep you wanting more. If you've read the first 2 books of the series, you know you can't wait to read this one! I give my hat off to Michelle for a series of excitement.

Olena is one of the best space pirates in history but when she has to run and lay low for awhile and gets married then the fun begins between these two interesting characters clashing. When certain events happen Olena has some choices to make and what path in life she really wants.

This is where I really started to enjoy the Dragon lords. Prince Yusef of Draig did not play nice and neither did Olena, the intergalactic thief. The couple was perfect for each other. The building of their romance had a long run, but unlike in Barbarian Prince, where Cupid was confirmed only in the last three pages (to my and my patience's dismay), in Dark Prince, Cupid strikes exactly when it makes the most impact.I removed one star because of a moment at the beginning: Prince Yusef says to himself he would even use dark magic to have Olena for a wife. So, where was my dark magic? Olena wasn't willing for half of the book. I wanted my dark magic! I didn't get my dark magic!

Olena Peyton is a pirate captain traveling the universe, when her ship went down, she found that she had to lay low for a while. She boards Galaxy Brides in hopes of marrying some loser who would deal with her until she was able to catch a ship out far away. Prince Yusef joins the Breeding Festival in hopes of finding his bride. He finds his bride to be very handful and full of fire but that is something that he likes. I was hooked in this book. I absolutely loved Olena and Yusef together. The pair was very playful and it easily created such an easy going and funny atmosphere. Olena was easier to like because she was not as stubborn as the other heroines in the other series. The pair bonded fairly well and cared a lot for each other. I found this book very likable. It was fun, romantic, and sexy all in one.

Olena story of a pirate turned bride, different view of events that have occurred since the first book. She seems very accident prone even though she acts like once she makes up her mind on something she goes for it, then slips up.

In a way, you are now his guiding light. She was his life mate. She was his perfect match. She had never known true happiness before meeting her dragon warrior. Another terrific story in this series! I fell for Yusef right away and he is by far hands down the Prince for me! Too bad Olena found him first! LOL I liked her and thought that I had a rough idea of how her life went that got her to this point. Well, I was partly right, okay, just the general over-all kind of partly right, but it broke my heart to hear her full story though! That is one of the only parts that I actually cried hysterically at! While it did make me cry, it also shows how deep into the story I was that I could feel her pain! Don’t get me wrong, it is a fantastic story and very much worth reading! I love the humor and sexy play, flirting, that goes on between Yusef & Olena. I love how Michelle can take multiple books that not only share the same storyline and timeline, but also many people and scenes and yet every single one is fresh, unique and AWESOME!!! She does it so masterfully that I didn’t even realize that they were the same scenes until a specific action happened! It is cool to see these from a different point of view each time because it gives you a different piece of the same picture that I gather will become one grand masterpiece once I have read all four of the books in this series! I still read with a sense of awe & wonderment at how Michelle can manage so many different ways to show & handle each situation, problem and scenario! I think that it works so well, reads so fluently with NO errors or conflicting parts because Michelle wrote them all at the same time. But then again it could all come down to the fact that Michelle is just this phenomenally talented!!! Yet one more item to add to the very long list that proves time and again just how gifted Michelle truly is! Once again, Michelle has made me fall even more for these Princes as well as their new Princesses and makes me one very elated reader to know that there are a LOT more books for me to read, as well as more to come in the future so I will never be without a new Prince to fall in love with! Excuse me while I go contact Galaxy Brides and sign myself up for the next ship out of here!

This is the third book in Michelle Pillow's Dragon Lords Series and they are all just amazing reads, I am definitely addicted to the Draig and Var warriors. As an anniversary addition I find the book reads with more fluidity and has been refreshed, there is also more detail depth to the main characters, as well as many of the secondary ones. It was wonderful to be able to read the book again. This series takes place all in one night so we get to see several stories unwind throughout the series. I love how the stories, while separate are also brilliantly interwoven without too much repetition. All the swoonworthy heroes and reluctant heroines make appearances in this book as well which is so enjoyable and gels the series together. This book is Yusef and Olena's story. Olena is a space pirate who joins Galaxy brides hoping it's an easy way to hide out for awhile. Olena sees this as a temporary situation and tries to not fall for the dark handsome Draig warrior who cant' seem to figure out his hot and cold bride. Olena's character brings a lot of humor and fun with her witty and clever dialogue. Of course she battles overcoming a difficult past and has found strength and independence as a space pirate. Olena is not too thrilled with the idea of giving that life up permanently, or keen on the idea of domesticity. Yusef is another amazing Alpha Draig Prince who is determined to figure out his complicated stubborn new wife. This story starts out with the awesome Galaxy Brides ship. This part of the story is always so funny with all the brides being spoiled, nipped, tucked and coiffed on their way to being claimed on the distant planet Qurilixen. Also love the Breeding Festival, each book in the series captures it from the perspective of the different couples and each have their individual stories. Lots of excitement, intrigue, romance, humor, high sexual tension and some hot love scenes (not porn just yummy), emotional ups and downs this book is another great addition to an awesome series.Michelle Pillow is as expert at writing fantasy/scify romance adventure stories that will have you happily turning pages for many dreamy hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvelous Read, July 23, 2015Edit ReviewDelete ReviewThis review is from: Dark Prince: Dragon Lords Anniversary Edition (Kindle Edition)Dark Prince: Dragon Lords Anniversary Editionby Michelle M Pillow⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I was given this book to read and give a honest review. I have to say I am a RIDE or DIE FAN of Michelle's Her storyline is always enchanting, make you laugh out loud, you won't put it down until you finish it, you won't eat or sleep that's how good it is. If you read any of my reviews you know that I feel Michelle has a magic touch and she uses it to weave her words for our entertainment. This is the 3rd book in The Dragon Lords series, the story is about Yusef and Olena It's a amazing romance that's sensual, fantastic and easy to relate to. The characters are fascinating, scorching HOT, exciting and thrilling.Olena is a space pirate who is being hunted by a Bounty Hunter. So she boards the Galaxy Brides spaceship intending to get married to a barbarian thus making her escape. But of course fate has her hands in it and Olena is going to become a bride of a handsome warrior prince who will rock her world with passion she can't even imagine.Yusef saw the fiery redhead and claimed her for his own. He can tell Olena will be unameable everything he had ever wanted in a woman. He knows that she will be hard to tame, but he has always liked playing with fire. The trouble with fire is that sometimes you get burned. Yusef is prepared to fight for her love and in doing so, he reveals the tenderness he holds inside his warriors heart.Olena is a very emotional woman and she doesn't trust easy. Yusef isn't call the dark prince for nothing. Both Yusef and Olena feel the sexual tension but Olena is reluctant at first then she stop resisting Yusef and finally their consummate marriage. The scene when Olena realizes that she loves her husband is so engaging and hot your significant other will get lucky this night mine did and the next day he wanted to know if I had finish the book you know I said no

Very good story. For readers 18 older.

I loved that this one was a simple story. She was so easygoing with things and didn't care that Yusef was a shifter. It was so refreshing that it was one where it was one of the first things that the female in this series found out rather than it being kept secret. Also, when she told Yusef what happened to her-sure,she was drugged but you know...whatever- he still learned about her past and why she refuses to be a "slave" (her word, not mine). There wasn't a lot of fighting in this one, it was more just her keeping her word and a pirate to herself until she is rescued. So, I get why she is a little defiant in this because he is a pirate that keeps to the code. Their relationship was refreshing compared to the others in this series. It's more about growing and accepting her feelings in her own time rather than them being forced upon her. He tries to force them, but she more so comes to them on her own. She knows their there, just if she wants to act on them or not.Argo is fantastic and I want him to have his own story! I will say this though. I really hate it when they tie up the woman and then leave them in anger. So far, it's happened in just about every book and it make me so mad every time! I keep thinking that when he leaves her tied up what if she is kidnapped by the Var? He is leaving her defenseless against men twice their size. And what happens in this book? She gets abducted because he leaves her tied to the bed unable to (attempt) to run and fight! GAHHH!

Yusef and Olena's story turned out to be more complex than the first two books of this series and I was impressed by the time I got to the end. It was a slow starter for me though and I came close to chucking it in when I first started reading it. I'm glad I didn't, thank goodness. I would have missed out on a fantastic story if I had. I don't think it was easy to get a good feel for either of these characters from the first two books. Their interaction with the rest of the characters is minimal at best so this book is truly their book. Olena is the best of the first three female characters although that isn't readily apparent in the beginning. Her "tale" isn't put up front, instead it is learned over the course of the book just as Yusef learns it. Yusef is the strong silent type and an almost perfect foil to Olena's seeming gregariousness. The pace on their story is slow (purposefully?) and I wouldn't recommend trying to rush it. If you do you will miss something important and will have to backtrack to figure it out. It definitely will hold up well as a standalone since enough of the backstory is provided that nothing is missed or lost. With that said, who wants to miss out on the series as a whole by only reading one of the books!I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Dark Prince is the story of Prince Yusef of Draig and Olena, an intergalactic pirate. Following the tradition of the first two books, Olena does not intend to stay with Yusef and plots her escape to go back to her crew. Not understanding the pull she has to Yusef and not knowing her husband is a Prince, things certainly get weirder when Olena discovers she is married to a Dragon shifter and does not know why she gets very hot and excited whenever she thinks about him.Yusef and Olena are not mentioned much in the first two instalments and after Yusef is attacked by the Var and Olena is chastised for her betrayal to her husband, as well as being kidnapped by the Var, they take time out to discover their true feelings and it is time for the pirate in Olena to let go and stop being so scared of being in love. This has every element you expect in the Dragon Lord series and gives yet another perspective on developments that happen once the Galaxy Brides ship lands on Qurilixian. Michelle M Pillow writes in such a way that you instantly like the Princes and enjoy reading the journey of discovery that each of the new wives takes, as they realise they are Princesses and are married to men who truly love them and would die for them.

Prince Yusef of Draig is hoping to find his life mate, what he finds is Olena. Olena is on the run and hitches a ride on Galaxy Brides thinking she can escape, get pampered for a few months, lay low as a “wife” then unite with her crew and carry on as she always has. But darn fate, neither gets what they are expecting, they share an immediate attraction, but they have very different ideas about what to do about it. Olean spurns Yusef constantly and while trying to beat him manages to put her life in danger and he has to save her instead. This is problematic to the very independent Olena who has always taken care of herself (she was raised as a pirate and has never known love due to a very tragic history). She finds herself more than just attracted to Yusef although she tries very hard to fight it, until he is attacked and almost dies causing her start to admit to herself she wants to stay with him. Like all the Dragon Lords the story is great and intertwines with the other prince’s stories (from different points of view), the characters are easy to fall in love with (especially the clueless, hot guys!), and it’s got enough surprises to make It a fun ride. Love the book and the series!

Olena, space pirate, is runnign for her life. She and her crew have spread to the winds and she has crashed and needs to get away from bounty hunters following her. The Galaxy Brides ship is the closest to hand to use for her getaway. She decides marrying someone for a few months whilst she lies low and searches for her crew is the best plam she can come up with. Yusef is one of the princes taking part in the bride selection process. He knows as soon as he sees Olena that she is his, and that with that fiery red hair she is going to be a handful. I love this series. Although all are seperate stories, the action overlaps at different points in each book, so you can read them out of order. I also loved Olena and Yusef together. They are quite playful, funny characters and the banter was easy between them. There is plenty of passion and Olena is not shy on acting on it.Olena was quicker to catch on that the princes are shifters, maybe because she was used to dealing with shifters on her crew. The book answered what the chastisement was from earlier books, which had been driving me mad!!! Olena never worked the ‘oh poor me’ routine, even when she could have done. Another fabulous read by Michelle!!!

The Dragon Lords series is an entertaining escape to another world with Dragon shifters as the main supernatural characters, along with their reluctant brides - despite the fact that each of their brides came to them via a cargo ship called Galaxy Brides.I was quite happy to see that Michelle Pillow can write this genre and write it well. I'm happy to state that this series got better in Book #3 - The Dark Prince. I actually think the two main characters Yusef and Olena are my favorites of the series. I even found myself giggling out loud when through a better part of the story, Yusef still had no idea what Olena's real name was. A space pirate by trade, Olena is on the run and sees her place on the planet as short-lived. And she certainly doesn't see herself as anyone's bride.Worth noting is that Ms. Pillow's timeline for the first several books in this series is to have them runs simultaneously so while understandable and void of any confusion, the reader receives moments of deja vu in the series as some re-telling from previous stories is intermingled in the current one. But it doesn't necessarily take away from the overall enjoyment of the book.I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy romance (dragons) with a touch of science fiction thrown in.
