As always in these Modern Masters collections from TwoMorrows, the black and white line art, sketches, and never published examples of lost projects are amazing, but I have to say that Kevin Maguire is probably the most nondescript interview subject I've ever encountered. The man makes Robert De Niro look loquacious! If not for the valiant efforts of the interviewers, I imagine we wouldn't have gotten as much as we did, which is a series of "um, sure," "I don't know, maybe?" and "Mmmm." So, three stars for artwork fans, but don't come planning to learn much of anything about the man behind the pencil of same.
