This volume is easily one of my favorites in the series. Naruto, having mastered Sage mode, takes on Pain, who singlehandedly brought down the entire village. It brought shivers to my spine and I felt all the awe of all the villagers as they see this old fuck-up surpass everyone including the legendary ero-senin.I know greater shit happens later in the series, but at this point in time, Naruto has become truly awesome, and it affects me as only a true underdog story can.Brilliant.

This one was brilliant. Konoha is under attack again but this time it will take something bigger to stop this destruction. Pain is too much powerful. Kakashi finds it hard to beat Pain all alone. But, even with the help can he beat this mysterious Pain? Naruto returns to fight Pain but will he succeed? Sage mode is powerful but will it be enough to beat Pain, the man who killed Naruto's teachers?

Yep... just when I thought it was safe to go in the water. BOOM. Lets make sure to kill off the OTHER favorite character. Thanks, I really needed to feel myself die again. It actually took a good friend of mine spoiling what happened to get me reading again after this.

Naruto, Vol. 46, by Masashi Kishimoto, is about a boy named Naruto who is a shinobi. While he is off training, a rouge ninja named Pein is trying to get everyone that has a jinjurikan (special beasts held within only certain ninjas) to destory the world and create a new world with peace. He looks for Naruto in the village, and destroys the village. Naruto hears the news and comes back from his training to fight for his village, and revenge for Pein killing Naruto's sensei. Naruto's internal conflict is dealing with the lost of his sensei. His external conflict is nothing. While reading this book i made a text to self connection. During the book, Naruto tries to save his friends, by tellign them to stay out of the fight, that its just between him and Pein. And sometimes when i get in trouble, i dont want my friends to get hurt, so i tell them to stay out of it.I'd rate this book 5 stars. It has a lot of action, It's filled with action which is good. But sometimes theres too much talk which is boring when you have a lot of action. I'd reccomend this book to anyone who reads or watch Naruto or mangas, but they should definitely read the WHOLE manga instead of this book, they'd be confused.

[Ch. 423-432:]I am still refusing to believe that Kakashi died, until the manga explicitly says so. But it was still so sweet how he thought of Obito and Rin before/if he died. I wonder whatever happened to Rin?---In this volume, you get into the villagers' perspective and you slowly start to realize that Naruto is someone to trust and he is someone who's life IS worth saving and caring about. ♥---Pein ends up destroying the whole village, which is a tragedy, but Naruto finally arrives! It's really an exciting battle. When I first read it, I have to admit, I found it hard to believe that Naruto could do all that, but now re-reading it, it's not as unbelievable. Naruto is an extremely hard worker and everything he does is a result of hard work.. not deux ex machina..

I must say it is and it will forever be(fingers crossed) my favorite Manga novel read.the way Masashi Kishimoto described the characters is just awesome, you get to see them growing up, becoming responsible... powerful... and it is not just characters,The plot itself is so much bigger... u simply can't get enough of it. and add to that,u get more than just entertainment, you learn...what isresponsibility,respect,kindness,friendship...so it is not just a manga it is a way of living... The sprite of never giving up!!!NARUTO!!!

This long ongoing series of this book is called naruto.naruto is a kid who grows up in the hidden leaf village and has the nine tails fox sealed in him because of an incident that happened in the leaf village when he was just born.during this part in naruto he is training with grandpa toad in a place called mount myoboku so he can defeat pain.pain is one of the leaders of the akatsuki.the akatsuki is a group of ninja who hunt down jinchuriki and naruto is one of them jinchuriki are ninja who have a tail beast sealed inside them.I would recommend this book to anybody who loves anime.everytime i get finish watching naruto it has me s thinking about whats going to happen next.such as when pain killed hinata and naruto almost lost complete control of the nine tails.i grew up watching and reading the book since i first picked up a video game.i also recommend this book because it is interesting and it has lots funny moments.such as when sakura hits naruto when he starts acting stupid.I forgot to mention that their are 9 tailed beast and narutos tailed beast is the ninth one.they use to be all together into a beast called the jubii but the sage of six path separated them into nine entities. team 7 is the squad naruto is in during their training with kakashi naruto, sakura, and sasuke are put into a test of wheather they can work as a team or be disqualified and have to go back to the ninja academy.so now they go on adventures together as team seven.

Genre: MangaTags: 6 pains, Naruto Uzumaki, Sage Naruto, Ninja of the Hidden leafLexile: No LexileBook: Naruto Volume 46Book Review and Plot Summary: This book is a part of the Naruto series. This book was a great addition to the Naruto series. Naruto Volume 46 is a about a boy named Naruto who is training with a great martial artist master that is teaching him how to achieve the sage mode to defeat the six pains. The six pains are being controlled by the Akatsuki, the main antagonist in Naruto. The six pains killed Naruto's master, Jiralya, so Naruto trains with a great master to avenge his master. In the book, the six pains wreck havoc on the Hidden Leaf Village, so they can find Naruto. The ninjas of the Hidden Leaf occupies the six pains until Naruto was ready. Meanwhile, Naruto mastered the sage mode and he was ready to take back his village and avenge his master. The six pains were strong together, but with Naruto's determination and power he can defeat them. Before the battle, Naruto learned two moves, the Rasenshuriken and Rasengan Barrage. These two moves helped Naruto defeat at least three pains, but three still remain. I recommend this book to people who love martial arts and also check out the Naruto book series and also check out the shows the books are based on. The shows are Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. This book comes from Naruto Shippuden.

This book is one of the best's books of this series. Some parts of this book is about when Naruto comes back from his training at the frog mountain. Then once he returns to his village he at first does not recognize it because his village has been destroyed. After knowing it was his village a person named Pain appeared in front of Naruto and was told that he destroyed his village. After that Naruto gets mad and decides to fight off pain, but since this is only the beginning of the fight it does not show us the full fight because it is a series book so it will show us all the events that happen. But partly through the fight one of Naruto's friends come in to guard him but that friend failed. Right after that Naruto rages. Then that is when this story ends. So I prefer the people who like books that mostly have pictures/ comics, and manga. Also for the people who like anime. So I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 because you can tell that the author tried his best to make this book the best it can be and I like how the action is taken, and how the character's act. That is why I rate this book a 5!

Oh my God this volume was everything. So much action and reveals! I remember watching the show and being like "ohhh hell no you better not kill Kakashi Sensei!" And I cried...a lot...and it's not even over yet. Naruto is so bad ass too. He's always been cool, but funny and not super smart and kind of clumsy...but here, he shines. He is going to save the village and no one can touch him. 5 stars all around and I can't wait for the next volume. Amazing.

Pain is an excellent villain. There are multiple instances where one of the six Pains will have a face-off against different Konoha shinobi. Even master Ebisu gets to show the stuff he's made of. It's a little disappointing that we all know Naruto is going to steal the show, but this is now among one of my top favorite showdowns in the series.Nothing beats Rock Lee versus Gaara, sorry.

Kakashi and Chōza's team attack the Deva Path. Although their attacks fail and much of the team is defeated, Kakashi is able to confirm that it controls gravity and that it needs to recharge briefly after doing so. To try and catch it during this window, Kakashi sneaks up on the Deva Path. He is repelled, but Chōza and Chōji attack when its vulnerable. Their attack is too late and they are repelled, but in doing so they are able to restrain the Deva Path. Kakashi tries to finish it off but the Asura Path uses itself as a shield. The Deva Path defeats them all and, to make sure Kakashi does not survive his injuries, it fires a nail at his head. While Tsunade is busy healing all of the Konoha villagers, Danzō keeps his Root personnel from helping in the village's defense, wishing for Tsunade to fail and thus allow him to become Hokage. Meanwhile, Inoichi continues to probe the mind of the Amegakure prisoner, and finds memories of him taking the dead body of a woman to the tallest building in Amegakure. Shizune arrives to pool their findings on Pain, unaware that two Pains have arrived outside. Elsewhere, the Deva Path leaves the site of its battle with Kakashi. Both Kakashi and Chōji have survived, though only the latter can move. Kakashi sends Chōji to Tsunade to tell her of the Deva Path's abilities. The still-active Asura Path tries to stop him. Kakashi uses his Kamui to stop the attack, but he dies in the process.

I normally don't write reviews for books this late into a manga series but this one warranted one. Naruto hasn't really captured my interest the way other manga series have in the past. I've been reading it on and off since I started reading manga about two years ago, and the first books were really good. I was really into it until Shippuden started coming out, and then I dropped off. The artwork got cheaper, and I became disillusioned with the characters, especially Sasuke. He was my favorite character before he turned traitor and left his friends who cared about him, basically becoming a total douche--but I digress.Anyway, going through the Pain story arc as painfully slow as I did (haha get it...) I suppose I didn't get as emotionally attached to the characters as I do with other mangas. My interest picked up a little bit when Diedara was brought into action, but he was promptly killed, and with him once again went my interest.THEN, Kakashi became my favorite character. Everyone loves Kakashi. In the previous volumes, the popularity polls they would do always came out with the top three in some order: Sasuke, Kakashi, and Naruto. So it was no surprise to me that Kakashi filled my favorite character void. Upon reading this volume, whereupon the fight between Kakashi, Choji and his father vs Pain comes to its conclusion, I initially skimmed over it. Kakashi's final use of the Sharingan and his meeting with his father didn't really register to me as his dying. I mean, this is manga for God's sake, not Game of Thrones, how often do the important characters get offed in manga?? I said to myself, "He's probably faking it, using a shadow doppelganger or will somehow mysteriously cheat death like Gaara did..." So,at first I thought nothing of it. I mean, why would Kishimto kill off one of his most popular characters? And for CHOJI of all people? To make the feels go round? The heart-wrenching agony only a bookworm can suffer when their beloved character goes the way of the Dodo. Not in manga. It doesn't make sense. There would be no way Naruto would have the popularity that it does if he chose to kill off everyone's favorite characters. Naaah, he can't really be dead...Then I read it a second time (which I usually do) and I realized that every sign indicated that he was gone, that Kishimoto had really done the manga suicidal. So I texted my friend, who is a ravenous Naruto fan, relating my thoughts above. She knew what part I was talking about, and confirmed it. I still refused to believe it.**full blown rant starts here**EVEN NOW I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT!!! THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD KILL MASTER KAKASHI, ITS JUST NOT FEASIBLE!!! AND I WILL CONTINUE TO REFUSE TO BELIEVE UNTIL I SEE HARD PROOF IN THE MANGA, JUST LIKE IN THE GRIMMJOW INCIDENT, I WILL CONTINUE TO DENY IT!!!!!And if I continue to read it, and he's truly dead, then the heck with it! I'm DONE! I've stuck with reading it long enough, if he's just going to keep stomping on this, I have no obligation to keep reading! Screw it!Rant having been concluded, to be honest, I probably won't stop reading it just cuz I like to see stuff through to the end. Heck, in other series, I even enjoy when they kill off my favorite characters because of the emotions it inspires. I'm just a sucker that way, but I'll probably keep reading Naruto until I catch up or the series ends, whichever comes first.
