Il-każ kważi kollu tal-aħwa De Molizz Reviews
4.5 stars.I rarely read books in my mother tongue, mainly because I find it a bit difficult, but this book (and it's sequel) is constantly on loan in my library so I was curious to see what the fuss is about. What struck me is that this book is post modern. Text swirls and wriggles across the pages, there are plenty of puns and at moments it gets a bit trippy. Oh and there's an application form which attached to the book. Stylistically it is awesome. Thankfully the story itself is just as good.Saver De Molizz ( I guess it's an oxymoron pun -Save the Demolition??), hates school and has a plan to destroy the best looking school in his village using the company which he inherited from his father. The problem is his father used the company to restore schools, not destroy them.Anyway through use of deception Saver manages this and creates a mini war between students. More absurd situations occur until the final war which includes an army of cats. Things do not appear as they seem though and the novel ends on a cliffhanger. This is a vibrantly written book, I liked the use of expressions, similes and wordplay. I literally had a lot of fun reading. Maybe one gripe is that the ending can be predicted at a certain point in the book but the cliffhanger saves it a bit. It's the equivalent of a roller coaster ride.
