Drive me Crazy is a romance novel filled with comedy too. It has just about everything needed to make a good romantic comedy. Kate and her two best friends were going to drive to Wisconsin by themselves since this was the first time their parents let, but then came along Adam, Alexis' cousin. Alexis is one of Kate's best friends but she can't stand Adam. He decides to join them on their way to Wisconsin since he had an interview to go to there and their parents couldn't drive him from New Jersey. On the way to Love, Wisconsin, a place where all their family's go every summer Kate and Adam constantly argue and throw mean comments at each other. But as they spend days together, they start becoming nicer to each other. Have they fallen for each other? Could that be? What will Kate do with Lucas, the guy she met last summer?Drive me Crazy is a very interesting and funny book. There are so many funny moments in the book that make it unforgettable. I would recommend this book to people who are looking for a good laugh because this book will be the book that tickle your feet.

Ignorant, childish, egotistical, hypocritical, stupid, stubborn, a brat, big-headed.Yeah, that sums about up the person that is Kate. (Whom, if you hadn't noticed, I loathe)

i loved adam from the start of the book, and thought that the dialogue was fast and funny. besides being able to predict the ending, the only real problem i had with the book is the fact that adam played the BANJO!!!! what hot guy plays a banjo??? overall, a good beach read

When you look at a book like Drive Me Crazy, are you thinking you’re in for a fun read? You should be. Fun, quirky reads are generally a blast to discover. They’re even better after finishing a very serious and/or long book or series. A fun read was exactly what I was looking for and Drive Me Crazy was definitely right for me.Kate was pretty much your average, clueless teenager. I liked that she was smart and feisty, but there were moments where I honestly thought she was just a witch with a b. It kind of irked me that the author continually characterized those moments of a-holeishness with Adam as feistiness. It’s not the same thing. Sierra and Alexis could’ve been in the story a bit more too. I didn’t fully understand their friendship because you’re just told how close they are. You don’t really see it.The plot really wasn’t as corny as I expected. Just to clarify, I’m not saying it wasn’t corny at all, it just wasn’t quite as corny as expected. The scenes on the road trip were enjoyable and I wish there were more of those scenes. I’ll admit I got a bit bored with the whole Kate and Lucas story once they met up in Love. Their story was definitely a case of fantasy being better than reality. It was mind-numbingly boring and frustrating to see how long it took Kate to figure all of that out.All in all, Drive Me Crazy was a cute, fun and quick read. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t perfect and it’s definitely not one of those amazing, blow your mind type books. But they can’t all be mind-blowing, can they? I would recommend putting a copy of Drive Me Crazy in your beach bag this summer. For more reviews, check out Reviews in a Pinch today!

Drive Me Crazy is a witty and romantic book. The plot is not complicated and pretty much easy to figure out. The characters are relatable. The book's simplicity is a perfect getaway from all the frustrating, heart thumping and mind boggling stories that we read everyday.Kate is the every bit the hopeless romantic that we see nowadays. The kind of girl that looks for a prince charming and hopes for a happily ever. However she realizes that life is not just about fairy tale type romantic scenes, perfect kisses and happily ever afters even when she thinks that she has found the perfect guy. Now, she is force to confront the reality of her perfect guy not being so perfect after all and that her long time enemy is a possible prince in a villain's clothing. It was an entertaining read for me. I love that Kate was able to get away from her own ideas of how love should be. She was one tuff character who was very determined to have her fairy tale come true. But in the end she was able to bend her ideas and come to terms with the reality of life. Adam and Lucas represents the type of guy that a girl can meet. While Lucas is the guy who is after hook ups and flirting Adam is the type of guy that is into relationships and not merely the hook ups.A CUTE, FUNNY and ROMANTIC story of finding love and figuring out love.

I was really excited to read this book based on the premise, but some of the lines were so unbelievably cheesy and impossible that it killed the immersion. The Adam at book start would have never said the island words. And some of the psychoanalysis was just basic and off. Transparent and you could see the author's agenda, and not the realism. I don't know. Not my fav. Wish I'd liked it more.

This book was really cute. It was also really predictable, but I was okay with that. It was a little short - I would have liked to get to know Sierra and Alexis better. The whole frat party scene seemed really rushed. I would have liked to know more about Alexis to know why she reacted the way she did.Overall, I liked Kate and Adam and thought their relationship was really sweet.

Sweet read. I was expecting a bit more, but I have been wanting to read this book for over a year now and had probably built it up in my mind. I had hoped it would be a bit longer and that maybe there was a bit more character development but I found that i really liked the book and that it was a quick read.I would definitely recommend this book.

omg! this chick is so infuriatingly stupid! Lucas is such a butt and she just ignores it. Adam is CLEARLY the better choice and he's awesome and they have cute fights. i like the Q-Tip tour and the board game part.

DNF at 20%0 star- I actually gave up at 10% but wanted to give it a chance. goodness. That was a horrible waste of time. Here's why:-One dimensional and annoying characters- No joke- They were so shallow and annoying and goodness the main character was a class a bitch with a stick up her ass. She was a piece of bitch, really. She was mean to her friends, Adam, and was completely obsessed with her friggen Lucas. I actually think she is the most annoying MC I've read yet. This was a complete disappointment. -Try-hard to make drama. The friggen drama wasn't even real drama. It was Kate PMS-ing about- wait for it- sitting in a car with her best friend's cousin whom has never personally wronged her. Hm. And then Lucas. She really seems to be pissing her friends off talking about him all the time. I mean, seriously, chicks before dicks? --->the Kevin thing with Alexis. Oh no honey, you're boyfriend wants to have a life and recieve a college education? He has obviously, personally, intentionally wronged you. Seriously shut up. Go blog about it.-Nothing made sense. So Adam said Alexis slept with her barbies in what, 6th grade? and now 7 years later Kate is still a bitch to him while Alexis forgave him? I think the author is trying to hard for a Jane Austin Pride and Prejudice situation. I actually felt embarrassed for Kate.-Had as much humor as trigonometry. I'm serious- I think I might've fallen asleep. And I drank coffee today. And slept in. So that's a mean feat. I didn't laugh once, or even find anything remotely close to being even a tiny bit funny. I honestly don't know why this is categorized as as romantic comedy. That was a complete wast of my time. I'm sorry I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to- I really needed to read something light and happy after starting to read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma.

3.5/5Drive Me Crazy is another of the Simon Romantic Comedies, and while not as good as some of the others in my opinion, it was still a great read, packed with fun and humour perfect for raising your spirits. I read it in the midst of winter, but I think it’s more of a summer read as it’s about a road trip (road trip!) and has a very summery feel to it. Kate is off to Love (said Loave) for the holidays with her two best friends Alexis and Sierra, where her dream guy Lucas will be – but unfortunately is stuck with Alexis’s annoying cousin Adam. Kate despises him – he’s an arrogant, sarcastic, good-for-nothing excuse for a human being. Or is he? As you can guess, it’s a love-hate relationship (think Shut Up & Kiss Me by Orianthi) and over the course of the book we get to see sides of Adam Kate never realised even existed. I actually really liked Adam from the beginning; he was really funny, and always up for anything. I didn’t really understand why Kate hated him so much, but I liked seeing her start to realise maybe he wasn’t as bad as she thought. She had to struggle with her confusing feelings for him, whilst dealing with her friend’s problems as well. One thing I liked about Kate was how loyal she was to her friends, and she stuck by them no matter what. She wasn’t very good at taking advice though. Point one: Lucas. Ahh Lucas. What can I say? Well. I nicknamed him Mucus, but I’ll let you make your own judgements on him ;). Overall, Drive Me Crazy was a lovely quick read; not too serious, but very heart-warming and perfect for those warm summer days.

drive me crazy certainly drove me crazy!nothing was funny in here.i dont remember laughing once.the main character wasn't really likeable at all.she was completely rude at times.it felt like the whole book was building up to the point when they got to Love and their beach cottages, but when they finally got there nothing happened.they would go to a bonfire and then go to sleep and then sit at the dock and then that would happen all over again. i expected more exciting stuff to happen.&the author didn't really take the time to describe stuff.i couldn't ever really get a good picture of what places looked like.also the way she makes the guys act in here and the things they say are totally innacurate.i mean has the author ever been around guys?? because they dont talk or act like that.it was just totally off.&kate had gone on and on about how great lucas was and how much she wanted to be with him and when they finally got together she would get irritated over the smallest stuff like him asking if she was cold. &then she would be like this isnt the relationship i wanted and would keep saying stuff like that at the end of the chapter, but would never break it off with him.it was annoying.i expected more humor and exciting stuff to happen in here.all these books are called romantic comedies, but they're not even funny and not all that romantic if you get down to it.

My Thoughts: We meet Kate and her best friends Alexis and Sierra. All 3 girls are going on a road trip to Wisconsin to their summer vacation spot! They are meeting up with their parents there!!! They have it all mapped out! Fun, girl time, chatting, etc. There is also Adam, Alexis cousin who Kate can not stand! He is annoying and he bugs her to the extreme!! Kate can't wait to get to Wisconsin to see Lucas, the guy she's been crushing on forever and kissed at the end of last summer!!! The ride to Wisconsin puts Kate and Adam in a few laughable romantic situations! They all get to Wisconsin, and Kate finally meets up with Lucas, and things aren't what she thought they would be!! She starts to realize that there might be more to Adam than she thought! I liked Adam from the get go! I could see myself falling for him! What happens to Kate and Lucas? Where does Adam come in? This book was really cute and romantic. There were a few parts that had me smiling to myself, saying awwwwww! This is how every girl wants her prince charming! Read this book now, you won't regret it!Overall: I love the Simon Romantic Comedies! I still have a few more to read, but they are just so darn cute and perfect for anyone who likes a fun romance book! I really enjoyed this one!

This book was so much fun to read! It really took me back to when I was younger and used to go on road trips with my friends. The book has so many twists and turns in it and you keep rooting for someone but then a couple of pages later you are hoping that they will get with someone else. This book also had a lot of humor in it, I found myself laughing and smiling a lot. I love reading books that can make me happy after I read them. I was sad to see it end though.I really liked the characters in this book, they all had their own personalities and it really set the book in motion. I don't think I could pick a favorite character. Normally I have a favorite character in a book but I don't think I can pick just one that I liked more than the other. There isn't a lot to say about this book, not because the book is bad but just because it is such a fun-light read that there really isn't a lot to be said about it.But I do know this, after the first page you won't be able to put it down!

I really enjoyed this book, yes it was predictable and cliche but I found myself grateful for this as it made it a nice easy read for a day in the sun. I found the characters were likeable and I loved the contrasts in Kate, Sierra and Alexis as no friends are 100% alike and don't always agree on everything but are there when it falls apart anyway. It was refreshing how even though Kate and Adam were meant to be the central characters the secondary characters such as Sierra, Alexis and Gina had their own story's which fit in nicely with the plot. I did however give this a 4 star rating it was more a 4 and a half but not a 5 due to there being times a lack of description and certain moments were overlooked too quickly for the pace of the book, such as the Adam and Kate island scene. However the number of Disney references towards of the end definitely made my day and I have already recommended this book to my younger sister.

This is more like a 2.5, really, stuck somewhere between "it's okay" and "I liked it". I'd probably like it better if all the recent ro-coms didn't follow the exact same storyline: Girl has cute friend, likes hottie, dates hottie, realizes cute friend likes her and hottie is kind of an ass, and then dumps hottie's ass for a make-out session on the last page with cute friend in proclamation of true love. I liked them better back when they had started this line. The plots--while not exactly always 100% believable--were imaginative and provided a lot more fun than the transparent plots, characters and writing Simon Pulse has put out as of late. And for the record, the whole prince charming/naïve "I'm a princess and want twu wuv NOW!" dynamics are getting old fast. 'Love' needs to stop being just another four-letter word.

Cute. Cute. Cute.Quick easy read (took me all of maybe three hours more like two and half).Adam is adorable. I *heart* him like woo-hoo. Lexi and Sierra are great side kicks to Kate.Annnnd Kate, well she is a feisty little handful that at times I really didn't like all that much, but she was cute enough that I was okay with her. Here's my issue: The development of this love story leans heavily on old back stories that we aren't truly privy too. I just felt terrible for Adam the whole time and wanted to smack the ever livin' errr... poop out of Kate at times for being dense, stubborn, and a little to self involved. The pay off was far too rushed but sweet nonetheless. Overall, not my favorite of the Romantic comedies, however a fun, easy read that did bring many a smiles to my face. It did it's job, so I'm givin' it a 4 but it's more of a 3 and half stars. The end.

-I decided to read this book because I had previously read similar books and I found them interesting.-The category on the bingo board that this completes is a book with a male main character.-What I liked about this book was the storyline because it was unique and different from any other book that I've read. Instead of a normal romantic novel which has a girl and guy falling in love and living happily ever after this book has a girl who thinks that she likes a guy but she's not sure and two guys like her. -What I didn't like about this book was the way that one of the characters was blind to what a person was actually like.-I would recommend this book to 12-16 year olds because it is really romantic and some parts are a bit too romantic for younger people to read.

Drive Me Crazy was a great summer read that had me laughing more times than I can count. The characters were realistic and very likable. I thought it was strange how much Adam reminded me of a guy I used to go to school with and Kate, in many ways, was a lot like me in some ways. The writing was just what I expected, quickly read and well suited for a fun summer read. The ending was well done, sweet and happy, which works for this kind of book. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fast-paced and enjoyable read that will make them laugh and smile. I can easily see myself re-reading this. For entire review, view my blog: http://thebookpixie.blogspot.com/2009...

4.5 starsThis was really cute! :) This was a cross between two of my favorite plot types: (1) where best friends fall in love and (2) where the main character thinks they're in love with one person, but it turns out they aren't so compatible with that person... But this person a lot closer to home, on the other hand.... I really loved the banter between Kate and Adam... and I really do this Kate was being silly STILL holding a grudge about what happened in the SIXTH GRADE, especially after Adam put the story in context for her... And I think they'll make a really great fictional couple in the fictional future! ;)

i wouldnt say this book was great but i liked it. it was about about kate and her 2 best friends going on a perfect road trip to her summer cabin where her boyfriend is waiting for her. but all goes wrong when 1 of her best friends cousin, adam, who kate hates tags along for the road trip. adam bugs kate in every way and she hates the guy but along the way she falls in love(of course) but didnt figure it out until she meets her boyfriend and finally figures out adams the guy for her. i dont usually read these kind of books but i borrowed from my friend so i decided to read it, i usually perfer adventure and fantasy books.

I didn't really enjoy this book because it was pretty predictable so i knew who were going to end up together. i don't like predictable books or movies so i was glad to be done with the book. i think these types of books are more for younger readers that're just starting to read YA books. Something i learned from is that the more you fight with someone the more you guys get closer. I could relate to this because this is how i meet others. I don't mean fighting like serious ones but more like a joke that you'll look back to and laugh at.

Well the plot definitely wasn't original, and I knew how it would end before I started. However, I figure it's the way the author carries out the plot that makes it so amazing. While I was reading, there were parts in the middle that made me want to stop reading all together, but the fact that she hadn't seen Lucas yet kept me reading. After she had made it to Love, I was interested. I completely adored the ending! So I'd have to give it four stars because of the parts where I could stop, but overall it was a pretty good story.

Simon Pulse Romantic Comedies are always a fun read. These books are not necessarily the best written novels but the stories are always fun and you know you will get a happy ending. I think some adult romances could take a note from these books b/c they are characterized well which is much of the battle in writing any novel since you want your characters, for the most part, to be endearing and relatable.

To be honest, after I reached the middle I just flipped through the book.If it was in someone else's point of view instead of Kate, I would have enjoyed the book but she was soooooooooooo ANNOYING. Seriously, stupid as well. I could not stand her which made me dislike the book.I only liked Adam & I'm happy with the ending. It was ok. Definitely would not read again though.

I really did love this book. !!!!!!!!SLIGHT SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!It's basically about a girl who thinks she has found her prince charming but then she comes to relization that he is no prince. She then relizes that the guy who is has been there all along. THis is beautiful and it was fun too. Very well told. Soooo good. :)

A cute read! Especially the ending was really cute and sweet and made me smile. :) But at times I just wanted to slap Kate and yell "You stupid, blind girl!"I liked Adam. He was really cute. Lucas instead annoyed me to no end. I really didn't like him. He was also so lame and boring! Nice Alexis and Sierra.

A cute and fun read, especially for summer time. Even though the end result was obvious (which happens a lot with these Simon Pulse rom coms) I still enjoyed spending a couple hours reading it. Kate was likable for the most part; I liked that she was a romantic and wasn't willing to settle for just hooking up with a hot guy.
