Jeff finds Isaac's wild ways incredibly hot, and he's more than willing to help facilitate Isaac's lustful cravings. Jeff trusts Isaac to be emotionally faithful despite the sexual experimentation, and Isaac trusts Jeff to watch his back and keep him safe from harm. Not a lifestyle everyone might aspire to or could successfully manage, but Isaac and Jeff make their quest for kink work to keep the sparks flying in their relationship. Excerpt: Isaac sniffed, gave his head a subtle shake and moved on. The second guy didn't trip Isaac's trigger any more than the first guy did. A little taller, a little leaner, and by the sour smell of bourbon wafting off the guy's breath, a little drunker than Isaac wanted to deal with. He took another pass. Bachelor number three-and that described how Isaac felt by now, as if this were some sort of tawdry, dirty, back-alley version of "The Dating Game"-smelled worse than the dumpster across the street. He waved the guy off with a dismissive hand. The fourth guy appeared passable enough. Nothing particularly gruesome, but not prime real estate either. Guy five-short blond hair, brown eyes, a pretty kind of healthy skinny-might have garnered Isaac's attention had the dude looked him in the face. Moot point, anyway. By the time Isaac progressed that far down the line and his eyes adjusted to the dim light, he'd already decided on the guy standing on the rightmost end of the row. "Oh, yeah." About an inch taller than Isaac's six-feet-two, whipcord lean, with chin-length black hair shiny enough to reflect the waning moon. Isaac zeroed in on him. The crunch of gravel underfoot behind Isaac announced new arrivals, but he didn't bother turning around. In his peripheral vision, Isaac saw two of the men leaning against the wall depart to be immediately replaced by two newcomers. Two more of the original men now had other men kneeling in the gravel before them. The remaining man from the original group-the blond standing next to Isaac's choice-waited patiently, perhaps still hoping Isaac would drop to his knees in front of him. Isaac quashed any lingering optimism the blond man might've held by moving closer to the guy on the end. Isaac put his left shoulder to the wall, his back to the rest of the lineup. He ran his gaze, from head to toe and back again, along the black-haired guy's streamlined body. "Nice," Isaac said, loud enough to be heard by the guy and no louder, and then he wet his lips with his tongue. "Leo," the guy said. Isaac snorted a quick laugh. "That your sign or your name?" "Both." A hungry smile spread Leo's perfect lips. "Saves me time." "You in a hurry?" Leo nodded. Isaac licked his lips again. "For?" "I think you know." Leo swept a black leather motorcycle boot back and forth, side to side, over the ground in front of him several times. Chrome buckles on the boot clinked. Gravel crunched and scattered. Leo plucked slim, well-manicured fingers at the tab on Isaac's jacket zipper and tugged downward. "Nice coat. It'll make a good kneeler. You might be down there for a while, and I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable." A soft snicker puffed the back of Isaac's hair, but he ignored the blond guy behind him. The wet, slurping, sucking sounds a little farther back were less easy to disregard, as were the soft grunts and quiet moans. Isaac's cock responded, swelling in the commando confines of his tight Levi's 501 blues....

3.5 starsIsaac and Jeff pay some rather dangerous sex games. Isaac likes to have sex with strangers and Jeff, a cop, backs him up. It's a game to them and they know they love each other. After a shopping trip, Isaac decides to dress up like a woman and get "pimped out" by Jeff. Although Jeff changes the game a bit when he brings his old college friend Leo into it. Leo was one of the "strangers" that Isaac sucked off in an alley a bit ago. Leo will be the pimp, then Jeff will come in and "arrest" Isaac for prostitution. Things go well until the cops pull up and it's not Jeff, it's real cops and they take Isaac off somewhere with the threat that if he keeps them happy they'll let him go, then Jeff comes to the rescue as the whole thing is all a set-up. After some three-way sex with Leo back home, Isaac starts to question their games as he was really freaked and realized what "could" happen even if Jeff is looking out for him. This was very hot but I could see trouble on the horizon with Leo. They went from total strangers to inviting the same guy twice to play and ... I see things taking a negative turn. I think if it had been kept to total strangers I would have liked it better and I could have seen it being more their kink.

4.5 starsWell-written, kinky, fun, entertaining but way too short. I liked both protags and while their relationship may seem strange to some it works very well for them. The author did a great job in a short length of showing how well, and how much, these guys loved each other. I really enjoyed reading Firecracker!

Sexy, fun read with role playing and cross-dressing. Who knew guys used duct tape on their pecs to imitate cleavage?

It's short, but even in the short span of time, there's characterization and development. You want more, but you also have hope for the future because the seeds have been planted.

3.5 stars. Really hot short story with a great relationship that felt a lot longer.

All sort of kinky fuckery grounded in a really strong relationship. The sex/kink was role play/stranger type - and really explained and handled superbly. I thought I was reading a short delicious kinky book and got a book that felt much longer and more relationship focused. It's still shorter - but it was very well rounded. I recommend it!

2018-12-06 05:12 new novella by Jaye Valentine is a look at the relationship between two men, with quite a bit of kinky sex mixed in. Isaac and Jeff are devoted partners, and Isaac gets his thrills from playing around with strangers while Jeff loves to give Isaac anything he wants. Jeff may be a cop by day, but at night he is the bad boy counterpoint to his "insatiable sex fiend" and he accepts and loves Isaac for who he is. It may not be the traditional relationship, but it works for these men who obviously love each other deeply. Their love and trust allow them to get their thrills with others, yet the playing around never threatens their connection to one another.Deserving of his nickname, Isaac is a force to be reckoned with. His long red hair and explosive approach to life fill the pages and make this story a joy to read. It's fast paced and erotic, stimulating in all the right ways, yet romantic at the same time. This is erotic writing at its finest, in all its sticky and messy glory. Isaac may get off on playing around with strangers, but he's just as aroused by Jeff and their interactions together, whether during sex or even a simple brush of skin or puff of breath, are electric. There is a realism to their relationship, an honesty and level of trust that is too often lacking for couples. This story really is just a quick look at these two men, and it keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. You never really know what is going to happen next, and that's truly part of its charm. Valentine has managed to incorporate many kinks, but to reveal them would be a disservice to readers. Suffice it to say that Isaac is a beautiful man, in more ways than one. Nestled in between the kinky play and raging orgasms are also gentle moments between Isaac and Jeff that are touching and beautiful, creating a wonderful balance between sweetly romantic and intensely erotic.Despite the shorter length, the story has good characterizations, especially for Isaac. There is a lot more to both men than appears on the surface, and this story just begins to explore what makes up these men. I enjoyed both Isaac and Jeff so much I would have easily read a lot more, but I also recognize that this novella isn't meant to be an in depth study. There are a few secondary characters but they are left mostly on the periphery as the focus really is on the playful couple. I wish the story had been longer, but that's just me being greedy as I'm truly a fan of Valentine's gritty and hot sex scenes. This is a quick taste of this author's style that would be perfect for those not familiar with his work. Fans will most definitely be satisfied, and will easily recognize what are quickly becoming signature elements of Valentine's work. Hopefully we will get to see more of these two characters in the future.

Here an established couple takes a few walks on the wild and definitely kinky side as cop by day Jeff indulges his sex addicted partner’s every whim. The antics are fun and inventive enough to keep you guessing from start to finish. As a delightful, entertaining, and sexy short read, this story delivers. The only down side is there’s not too much meat to it – other than the obvious kind. The story opens with a back alley blowjob scene. Not only is the scene hot and hits on a lot of various kinks, but it throws a few subtle details into the mix that keep readers guessing. This type of entertaining surprise continues to the very end of the novella. The main couple of Jeff and Isaac are sweet and unusual. Here Isaac gets his thrills having sex with strangers and depends on Jeff to keep him safe. Jeff clearly has a voyeur kink and enjoys indulging Isaac in his sexy roleplay fantasies. Their relationship is shown mostly through their dynamic together and neither character is fully developed. There is obviously more to each man than just the hot sex that fills the page and the story teases with such without fully delivering. The love between Jeff and Isaac is obviously solid and not just because they have a sexually open relationship. There are small details where a touch, look, or comment shows the true strength and commitment between the men. Therefore the story feels free to indulge in the sexual escapades. I would have liked to have more characterization and depth to the men as Isaac, especially, has a lot more to show. There are hints that perhaps the men are getting ready to settle down but neither is hurt by messing around. Additionally Isaac’s lively banter and bits of jealousy show there is more to the relationship than merely shown here. Firecracker is a quick, hot read. The story delves into fantasies in an environment that’s safe to do so or perhaps not so safe, as the antics take a few unexpected twists. The characters are interesting and Isaac definitely stands out above the colorful cast. The dialogue is clever and witty, delivering a well-written story with some great humor. The scene in Hot Topic especially is not to be missed. If there are any more stories with these two, I’d hope they’d have more of each man and what drives them. But the sex is hot too so I won’t turn that down. At $2, this is a steal.

Firecracker starts as a kinky tale and ends like a romantic romp. Isaac and Jeff are in a committed relationship but Isaac likes to play the field. But not behind Jeff’s shoulders, on the contrary, Jeff is even the one who plans everything to let Isaac play safe and sound. When Isaac does his kinky role play, Jeff is always there, enjoying the show but also being alert and avoiding danger. After all, Jeff is a cop and he knows how to protect Isaac. I like the intake on the story that the author explains through Isaac’s words: both partners agreed to have an open relationship, even if, truth be told, all we see Isaac doing, is having oral sex with strangers in an alley and on a parking lot, he doesn’t go over that; from what I understood, it’s only Isaac that needs the “variety”, Jeff plays along to make Isaac happy, but he would be content also with the two of them alone. Isaac on the other hand, is not unaware of Jeff’s preferences, and when pressured from Jeff, he admits that, if it arrives the time when Jeff is no more comfortable with their agreement, he would be willing to stop it. As Isaac explains, what he does with strangers is no more of what he would do with a sex toys, the man attached to the sex toy is not important, and instead with Jeff is true love, and that is the most important thing. An example of that is Leo, who plays with them, but then he goes to sleep in the guest bedroom... like a toy they used and then put in his box... all right, Isaac is tender with him, he even kisses him goodnight, but nevertheless, the one with whom he goes to sleep is Jeff... sleeping together in their bed is way more intimate than having sex!So yes, the novella apparently starts in a very unromantic way, daring to test the boundaries romance readers usually put, like exclusivity and no-cheating around, but in the end, Isaac and Jeff prove to be a very romantic couple indeed, and what they have is true love. Again, Jaye Valentine wrote a very “kinky” romantic story.

I'm totally in love with Isaac and Jeff and their relationship and for someone who prefers MC to be with each other and no one else, that's a pretty bold statement. Nonetheless, it's true and this book rocked! Whether monogamous or not, whether Isaac is ready to jump into the whole shebang of monogamy - it just didn't matter to me in this story. I think the honest reason for that is the characters just ooze love and devotion to one another, and for some reason outside of my own understanding, that overrode the whole sex-with-other-people thing. To be fair, I wasn't sure I'd like this book at all for the reasons I already mentioned but the addiction for Jaye's writing that I know I have, had a lot to do with it - always so clean and descriptive without being flowery or overdone. I admire his writing as much as I love this book. I read somewhere that he might write more for this couple and I'm throwing my vote in as YES, PLEASE!.

I liked this exploration of a fairly unusual relationship between two lovers who regularly add a third man to keep things interesting.Isaac needs to play with strangers and Jeff is in charge of protecting him from harm. Both of them are very inventive when coming up with new scenarios. Both of them also put the other's needs first, though, and I think that's one of the things that makes this story interesting. Beyond the very hot sex, that is.
