Cowboy Deputy Reviews
This story seemed to have a slow flow to it. There are bad things going on in town but the action is moderate. The suspense and romance don’t jump out at you like the more enjoyable romantic suspense books where the hero and heroine and verbally sparring with each other or severely trying to deny the attraction. Despite this it was still good enough to continue reading. Benjamin is not overly Alpha but also not too sweet that you would get bored. Benjamin calls his friend’s granddaughter, Edie, to come to Black Rock because he fears his friend is losing his mind claiming there are aliens taking over. Edie and Benjamin have a run in before the actual introduction. Edie has had bad luck with men and vows to never have any kind of relationship with men again. When Benjamin in his own calm way makes his attraction known, Edie, takes a while to explore. Benjamin’s feelings were sweet and the way Edie would not let it become more was sad especially when she always makes it such a big deal that she will not stay in Black Rock. Her decision to never have a relationship or family was a little too much but she comes around at the end. Overall, it was a good book that is part of a series. If you’re looking for excitement and a really strong romance, this isn’t for you. But as a slow, moderate romantic suspense story it is good.
His sister's missing, young women are going missing, and old Walt Tolliver are claiming aliens are responsible. Deputy Benjamin Grayson didn't know what else to do, but call Walt's granddaughter, Edie Burnett, try and talk some sense in the man. However things didn't get off on the right foot between Benjamin and Edie when he pulled her over for speeding. Instantly recognizing her, he wasn't going to give her a ticket when she broke down is sobs and spilled out most of her problems facing her back home. Horrified at how she spilled her issues to a stranger, Edie never expected to see the man again, but she did not ten minutes later when he came over for dinner. Having an instant connection to Edie, Benjamin tried to get her to relax and give this new feeling between them the chance to grow, but Edie is afraid of something and Benjamin might just have to accept that until she asks for help, no one can get to her. Meanwhile the alien myth is proven false, but the aftermath retaliation is not. So now Edie's and her pops life are in danger and it's up the Benjamin to keep them safe.

I loved this book but I do want to find out what happened to Brittany but I don't have the rest of the series to finish and read the full ending.
This is the third book in the Lawmen of Black Rock series. I had fun reading this one.
Another Good book by Carla Cassidy :) I have read another book in this series and I felt like it was very similar to the other book but they were still both really good :)
